THURSDAY 21ST JUNE 2012 Well as we approach the last week it has been great to see so many wonderful achievements this term.

Last night I had the pleasure of hosting the Northern Cluster Performing Arts Festival where we had 30 plus students on stage representing Ross Intermediate in their 9 minute performance of music, dance and drama in ‘Hard Rock Cafe’, a celebration of the 50’s.

This week also sees the government continue its attack on schools with the announcements of League Tables. This is another issue of concern to us all. Now I do not want to be too outspoken again however ask yourselves this...

How is it fair to compare schools using unreliable, untested and unrealistic National Standards with no level of moderation?

Ross Intermediate do not support the development of League Tables for Primary students as they are not a fair assessment tool.

Anyway, we wish you all the best for the upcoming last week of term.
