VHS DIRECT QUALIFIER for the Veteran Horse Society Supreme Final: VETERAN HORSE OF THE YEAR 2017 - Kindly Sponsored by Allen & Page. Open to members and non-members purchasing day membership for this show. Day membership must be purchased from VHS head office in advance of the show, at a cost of £15. A day membership card and age badge will be provided. All competitors and grooms must adhere to VHS Rules in all circumstances. Failure to do so may result in immediate disqualification. Members and day members must carry their current VHS membership card and show registration card in the ring and produce these on request - no exceptions will be made. VHS Regional Final qualification. All competitors placed 1st to 4th in each Area Qualifier class will qualify for the corresponding class at VHS Regional Finals. Members will receive a green qualification card whilst day members will receive a red card which can then be exchanged for a green card when applying for full VHS membership. Regional Finals are open to full members only. VHS Supreme Final qualification. Competitors placed 1st and 2nd in each class will qualify for the corresponding class at the VHS Supreme Final, to be held at the National Veteran Open Championships, Bury Farm, Buckinghamshire, 23rd - 25th September. If the competitor has already qualified or does not wish to attend, they must refuse the qualification card and pass it down the line on the day. Entries for the VHS Supreme Final must made within 21 days of qualification date. Day members must become full VHS members in order to enter the Supreme Final. VHS M&M Supreme Final qualification. The highest placed M&M in each class will receive a blue qualification card allowing them to enter the VHS M&M Supreme Final at the National Veteran Open Young Championship. Young Rider Championship qualification. An orange qualification card and rosette will be given to the young rider of the Judge's choice, entitling them to enter the Young Rider Championship at the National Veteran Open Championships. This award is given at the Judge's discretion. All competitors are eligible to enter open classes at the National Veteran Open Championships, 23rd - 25th September. Rheolau/Rules • The Judges decision is final in all matters of dispute. Any objections must be made within 20 minutes of the class competition ending, with a deposit of £30, to be forfeited if the objection is over-ruled. All competitors take part at their own risk and are expected to exercise due care at all times. It is strongly recommended that all owners/competitors have adequate Public Liability insurance cover. • The Committee or any official or judge, or any steward acting on behalf of the show committee shall not be held responsible for any damage, loss or injury caused by or to any animal, or any property, competitor or spectator. • No responsibility will be taken for any exhibitor/s missing a class or classes. *A public announcement system is provided by courtesy of the show and should not be relied upon to gauge when competitors are required in their specific ring/s. The Committee cannot be responsible for clashing of classes and competitors should bear this in mind when making their respective entries • No entries will be accepted without the correct entry fee being paid at the time of entry and this will include the First Aid cover charge. • All classes are liable to be split, if the entries are large enough or combined if entries are too small to warrant individual judging. • The committee reserve the right to change classes if required to a different ring to facilitate the smooth running of the show. • Cups to be returned to the Secretary 6 weeks prior to the date of the show and undamaged. • In the interest of effective Health & Safety everyone must take all reasonable precautions to prevent accidents and must obey any instructions of show officials and/or stewards in this regard. All riders must wear correctly secured riding hats which conform to either BSI 4472/6473, EN1384, PAS015 or PAS accredited hats and must be worn at all times when mounted.In the event of any rider being unseated in the ring then that rider and animal must leave the ring unmounted and will not be allowed to continue in that class. • All accidents must be reported to the Secretary • In the event of the show being cancelled all entry fees will be retained by the show. All colts and stallions over 2 years old must be suitably bitted and handlers must be 14 years of age and over. Mares with foals under 3 weeks of age must not be shown The Society's rules and regulations will be posted on the show field and website. RHEOLAU •RULES • Exhibitors are deemed to have read and be bound by these rules. • All exhibits are to be tabled by 9.30am, judging to start at 10.00am, exhibits not to be removed until 4.00pm. • All entries to be submitted to the Section Secretary by the closing date. • The Society will not be responsible for any loss or damage to any exhibit. • Exhibit numbers will be issued on the day. • The egg show will be held under Poultry Club of Great Britain Rules in addition to those of the North Wales Agricultural Society.
