Ymddengys mai prif waith cwmni Griffith Jones oedd trawsgludiadau, morgeisi a phrydlesi. Er bod nifer helaeth o ddogfennau unigol yn y casgliad, fe erys olion o'r dull gwreiddiol o ffeilio, lie rhoddwyd dogfennau o'r un fath (a phob un a'i rhif unigol) mewn bwndeli yn nhrefn dyddiad. Felly, ceir bwndeli o drawsgludiadau drafft yn unig, eraill yn cynnwys prydlesi, morgeisi, aseiniadau, ewyllysiau ac yn y blaen, gyda bwndeli ar wahan ar gyfer pob math. Mae'r system hwn, er yn ansoffistigedig, yn ddigonol ar gyfer y prif gategoriau o ddogfennau, ond daw anghysondeb ac amyfusedd i'r fei lie ceir man fwndeli o fathau anghyffredin ar ddogfen, megis affidafidion, sy'n ymdrin S materion mor amrywiol a dyledion, gweinyddiad ystadau a hawliau i eiddo. Serch y gwendidiau hyn, mae'r bwndeli gwreiddiol wedi eu cadw yn y rhestr a ganlyn, er mwyn parchu egwyddorion archifol. This collection of papers of Griffith Jones, solicitor, Caernarfon, deals in the main with the period 1890-1910, although there are a number of documents from other periods. It appears that the firm of Griffith Jones was concerned primarily with conveyancing, motgages and leases. Although there is a large number of individual documents in the collection, the remains of the original filing order are to be found : documents of the same type, each individually numbered, were bundled together in date order. Thus bundles comprised solely of draft conveyances are to found, as are bundles of leases, mortgages, assignments, wills and so on, each type being bundled seperately. This system, although unsophisticated, worked well enough for the main categories of document, but inconsistency and confusion arise where small bundles of uncommon types of document are concerned; for example, affidaints, which treat matters as varied as debt, probate and rights to land. Despite these weaknesses, the original bundles have been preserved in the following list, in order to respect archival principles. Anglesey & Gwynedd Joint Local Joint Development Plan 2016-2026 Item:- Deposit Plan Part 2 - Maps Ref ID 1824 - Page 111 - Map 118 - Bryn Du Re - Planning Approval for 12 Affordable Houses granted 2014 although part of the JLDP 2016-2026. ==================================================================== My previous statements on this item remains true and accurate. This comment indicates the degree of serious unsoundness that exists in the existing presented JLDP and the inadequate considerations given to the provision and location of Affordable Housing in Anglesey, and the serious consequences of locating Affordable Housing which do not have the benefit of adequate services and facilities. I stated in my earlier submission that the Anglesey County Council, (ACC), and the JLDP provide guidance on the location of Affordable Housing and state that they should be located in settlements where there are public facilities to support them. Grossly contrary to this guidance Bryn Du is a substantial linear village about 1 km long, and estimated to be of over 100 dwellings, between Llanfaelog Church and Ty Croes Train Station -(which provides a limited, almost virtual service which renders it unfit for purpose). The press statement issued by the Group Cynefin Housing Association and Anglesey County Council Housing Department on 26 May 2015 at the start of construction of the 12 Affordable Houses allocated to Bryn Du indicates how remote these organisations are from their own Council Guidance and the realms of reality:- “Grŵp Cynefin are working in partnership with Anglesey Council’s housing services to develop four small-scale sites in Bryngwran, Bodedern, Holyhead and Llanfaelog. The four developments were announced during a visit to one of the sites, the Bryn Du development in Llanfaelog, which consists of six homes (3 bedroom) and six smaller homes (2 bedroom).

  • Aber Cottage Beddgelert | Gwynedd | LL55
in association with Aber Cottage Beddgelert | Gwynedd | LL55 4YF Aber Cottage Softly surrounded by trees and with the Aberglaslyn River flowing gently through the garden, Aber Cottage is a place of great natural beauty and tranquillity. The cottage began life in the mid eighteenth century, and its character and location have inspired artists to pick up their brushes. A painting of the cottage in eighteen ninety is exhibited in the National Library of Wales. Sadly, the cottage fell into ruin, but was rescued in the nineteen eighties by a local businessman who won an award for the superb restoration. He renovated and extended, retaining the original chimney wall in the kitchen and bedroom. Today it is a charming home where you can enjoy the comforts of the modern age in a unique setting. It was only by chance that the present owners saw a photograph and sale details of the property in a magazine, and immediately fell in love with it. They have loved and enjoyed Aber Cottage for over twenty years and say it is where the cares of the world are washed away and energy revived. There are enchanting views to the river from every room, and it provides a picturesque backdrop to meals in the conservatory or on the patio. The surroundings tempt summer al fresco dining, but the kitchen diner can easily seat eight people and is equipped for the keen cook. The cottage has a calm and pleasing atmosphere. It encourages you to settle in the lounge to read and relax, and the multi fuel stove creates a warming glow on a chilly winters’ day.

  • Anglesey Plants and the Flora Group in 2014: Ian Bonner
Anglesey Plants and the Flora Group in 2014: Ian Bonner (As appeared in the Welsh Bulletin of the BSBI No.95 February 2015) Before the first indoor meeting at Treborth in March Pat Denne used the 9597 records added in 2013 to update the map showing the total taxa recorded in each of the 800 monads. Andrew Dixon made an electronic version of it available for subsequent reference. At the meeting it was again agreed to concentrate effort on collecting monad data toward the Atlas 2020, a future county flora and keeping the Rare Plant Register up to date. Barry Wrightson kindly agreed to take over the circulation of information about recording days and the coordination of bookings. Over the weekend of 26-27th April Professor John Richards and Dr Tim Rich led a Taraxacum workshop at Treborth, which included field visits to parts of Anglesey and Caernarfonshire. Some 39 taxa were noted on Anglesey, of which 26 were new VC records and will be published in Plant Records in due course. This illustrates the need for targeted recording of difficult taxa to back up basic monad coverage in the run-up to Atlas 2020. Atriplex species (Oraches) on coastal strandlines come into this category. They featured in the 2013 Report and Paul Green came up in early September to assist and make collections. Based on further work this year, it appears that as well as six species, the Anglesey coast may have a complex of four different hybrids. Material is now with the BSBI Referee for the genus. Atriplex portulacoides (Sea-purslane) is one that is easy to spot.

This assessment was undertaken in accordance with Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) guidelines (Defra, 2006a). Because of the large number of watercourses within the study area a screening exercise was carried out which identified all significant watercourses within the study area and determined whether these should be carried through to the Appendix F assessment. The screening exercise identified that the following watercourses should be subjected to the full Appendix F assessment: .
