Fraserburgh FC Official Matchday Programme CCHHAAIIRRMMAANNSS WWEELLCCOOMMEE Today we welcome the players, management, officials and supporters of Wick Academy to Bellslea Park for our P&J Highland League tie. It is always good to welcome our friends from the north to Bellslea as it gives us an opportunity to reciprocate the excellent welcome we receive when we travel to Wick. The games are normally entertaining affairs and there is no doubt that Wick have been one of the best footballing sides in the league for a number of years. been discussions on how this would work and some good They won their first senior trophy earlier in the season and it ideas put forward. Likewise there have been some bad ones. was great for the guys who have been with the club since they came into the league. There are more important things than having a There have been a few rumours flying around regarding the club drink in the boardroom however. It’s about putting on or more specifically myself apparently trying to break up the something that is entertaining and which will attract Highland League. I was told in Inverness last Saturday that I was supporters to the games and yes, in this day and age, people the ringleader and me and my gang of Aberdeenshire mates to the Hospitality Lounges. That’s how the clubs will were trying to break away and make a league of our own. This survive. isn’t the first time I have heard this and sometimes from people who I have known for years. I am never in the stand so people know I am not a fan of the press and believe that the people who where to find me. If I can answer the questions then I will really know me will know the truth but maybe that is to blame do so. We don’t need a Fans Forum for that. as I haven’t publically stated my case. I don’t normally care what others think but I have taken exception to this. I don’t normally care what other say. In the 47 years I have been alive I have been skinny, fat, ginger, bald, freckly, The Highland League is something I am immensely proud to be wear glasses and at school I was in the free dinners queue involved in and unlike some other clubs we at the Broch don’t because I was in a single parent household. It's not the first time that this has happened. Too often this season we have dominated games but failed to take our chances and then paid the price by losing the game by the odd goal. We need to start converting chances and killing teams off. This then allows you to approach the later stages differently but as I’ve said too often this year we have not scored when chances have came our way and its cost us valuable wins. That's another game gone by where we have dominated yet failed to win. We as managers all approach games to win them. We all my belt as I felt after that was a lot calmer knowing that have different styles and different thoughts and in I’ve been successful already. As I have already Wednesday night Turriff’s way of playing was successful mentioned we also have another cup final to play and ours was not. however this is in danger of becoming a farce as to when it will be played. It is approaching the end of season but there is still a lot to I would just like to say s big thank you from me, my play for.
