Mozambique is situated in South . The official safari concessions covering 5000 square kilometers of some of the most diverse habitat and species found in Africa. These areas are of the few remaining in Africa where you can still do a Classical African Safari today. They are part of the Marromeu Complex and boarder the Mighty Zambeze River in the North. The concessions are situated in the central part of Coastal Mozambique. The spectrum of wildlife is quite remarkable, having 22 huntable species from the tiny Livingstone to the Elephant. Buffalo roam the open flood plains and swamps in herds of several hundred and Sable in huge herds often nearing 100. A recent Buffalo count has estimated the Buffalo in the Marromeu complex to be around 12 000 strong. This concession has four distinctive types of habitat, namely sand forests, tropical savannah, swamps and floodplains make these areas totally unique. A long term lease with the Government has ensured that sound management practices implemented have assisted in making these areas some of the finest free roaming game lands in Africa today. They have 4 main camps within the concessions. Two permanent camps, the first being the original camp, Mungari, this is a typical East African styled tented camp with bathrooms en-suite. There are 7 tents accommodating 2 clients in each. The camp is set in the lush tropical sand forests which hold an abundance of bird life. The second camp is Ngazi camp, this camp was used by the Portuguese hunters in the late 60's. Due to the war this camp was neglected and only in revamped in 2007. The camp is built out of brick and has 4 rooms with bathrooms in suite. Here sound Game Management practices and Anti- programs are in place. Hunters fly into International Airport and a short charter finds you landing in one of the most pristine hunting concessions in Africa. M’Tsewa is situated in the Cabo Delgado Province in the far Northern reaches of Mozambique. An easy drive from Pemba, finds one in the few untouched parts remaining in Africa. Situated in the corridor between the Niassa and Querimbas National Parks, this is true big game country. The real drawing card to this area is its magnificent Elephant with their long and thick ivory. This outfitter currently operates in the entire Cabo Delgado province, an area that consistently produces some of the best Elephants in Africa. Although not for the faint hearted, this hunt offers a chance for a determined hunter to collect some magnificent ivory. Buffalo, and are also present in huntable numbers. Plains game in the area is limited, but good , Bushbuck, , Red and Grey , Suni, , and can be found. This area hunts well in the late season between September and November, when all the surrounding water dries up; drawing the Page 1 to the natural springs, which produce water throughout the year. Although it can be extremely hot and dry, with lots of walking, one is rewarded with exceptional quality trophies. The area is characterized by bamboo forests and heavily wooded savannah. Hunters are accommodated in a traditional East African style tented camp overlooking the . Tents are en-suite with hot and cold running water. An open-air fire pit and dining area complete the camp. Vat is not included in the above prices and is charged at 17% on Daily rates. Balance of daily rate & license fees are payable 30 days prior to the start of your hunt.

A basic fee of $350 per hunter will be levied to cover the local Veterinary and Agriculture transport permit and inspection. In addition to this, the fees below will be levied. These fees cover crating and transport of your trophies to Maputo. All shipping from Maputo goes via Lifeform Taxidermy. All shipping and export / import costs ex Maputo are for the client’s expense.

Winter, from April to September, is the dry season, and it is the best time to visit the country. The average temperature in the winter for the coastal areas does not fall below 57 degrees Fahrenheit (12 degrees Celsius). The southern parts of the country are generally drier and less tropical than the north, and the temperature along the coast averages 80 degrees Fahrenheit (27 degrees Celsius).

Mozambique has Malaria areas. Please consult your Doctor when and if Malaria Prophylaxis is needed. Your professional hunter carries a first aid kit, while sophisticated medical services are available in nearby Mozambique towns and cities.

Prices Include: airport assistance upon arrival and departure, professional hunter with trackers and porters, full board and soft drinks while in camp, beer and wine in reasonable quantities with meals, support crew of cook, skinner, waiter, laundry service, driver, mechanics, etc., fully-equipped permanent camp with stone bungalows and in suite, use of additional semi-permanent fly-camp, preparation of trophies for shipment, unlimited of hunting vehicles while on safari. Price does not Include: rifle permit ($200 per rifle), hunting license ($350), shipment of trophies to the USA & , charter flights, community fee of $50 per night per hunter or observer, export of trophies as per Trophy Exports Mozambique price list, 17% VAT on all daily rate portion of the package special food, cost of medications, immunizations, hospitalizations and services of doctors, charges for evacuation or rescue by ambulance, helicopter or airplane, and any other service or product that is not agreed or mentioned in this document.
