CAWA (C.A.R.) 2015

Central African Wildlife Adventures - area 40 and 41 in the Eastern CAR. The total area of the concessions is approximately 2 million acres. Area 40 is our main area and has been developed for three years; area 41 was added to the company this year.

For those who desire a true remote region, area 40 and 41 provide such a hunting location. Positioned approximately 250 kilometers from the closest human settlement, our main camp is noted as one of the most remote main camps in today. Additionally, this region is unique in that both Forest and Savannah can be hunted from the same area. One can hunt Eland in the morning and in the evening, with salt licks providing an opportunity to see both.

Kocho, the main camp, offers the best in comfort and style in CAR to date. Located in tree canopies along the river, the camp is made out of bungalows in semi brick construction. Each bungalow is separately situated along River Kocho and includes an attached porch, running water, showers, and flush toilets. Fly camps and secondary camps are set up with safari style canvas tents. These camps, depending on the situation (quick set up camp or a permanent one), also include running water, showers, and flush toilets in each tent. All camps are equipped with 220 volts.

 Female = double trophy fee and no new license  Wounded animal (visible blood) = full trophy fee and no new license  Animals shot for bait are to be paid at half the original price (50%). All animals shot for bait are to be paid, even those not taken by the hunter himself.

Other costs

 Rental of gun, if required: € 35/day, ammunition included (The gun is cal.375 H&H in good condition, with a scope of good quality. The ammunition is of good quality: TBB, Nosler or Barnes X.)  Gratuities: Gratuities are of course optional, but if you are satisfied with your safari, we recommend that you give € 1000/hunter a week for the camp staff to share, and € 750/week for the PH.
