ËBy entering these shows you acknowledge that the Park Rangers are the final authority in interpreting and enforcing the Park Rules. Any abuse of the facility or damage to hotel/motel facilities will be deemed prejudicial to the sport of purebred dogs and may be subject to action by the Show Committee. ËVendors and/or Exhibitors who will be driving stakes of any kind must clear this with the Park Rangers prior to set up. ËThere will be no water or electric available to any vehicles unless they have been assigned an approved site through the Parking Chairman, Mr. Harry Miller. ËPlease help us to retain this site by cleaning up after your dog and disposing trash in the receptacles provided throughtout the grounds. NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS ENTRY FEE: EACH DAY: $33.00 for the first entry of each dog except Puppy Class and Bred-by-Exhibitor Classes which is $23.00, including $.50 AKC recording fee & $3.00 AKC event service fee. $23.00 for each additional entry of the same dog. $10.00 for Junior Showmanship as an additional entry. $15.00 for Junior Showmanship Only. If a dog is entered in more than one class in one of these events, the AKC Recording Fee and Service Fee is to be collected on the first entry only. (AKC Rules Applying to Dog Shows, Chapter 11, Section 2). An AKC Recording Fee of $3.00 will be required for each entry in any Licensed or Member Club Rally Trial. If a dog is entered in more than one class in a Rally event, the AKC Recording Fee is to be collected on each of the entries of that dog. (AKC Rally Regulations, Chapter 1, Section 3). All Recording Fees are paid to the . RETURNED CHECKS do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Superintendent will add a $20.00 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitors may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY basis. TELEGRAPH, TELEPHONE and UNSIGNED ENTRIES CANNOT BE ACCEPTED. CANADIAN EXHIBITORS make fees payable in U.S. FUNDS. NO ENTRY SHALL BE MADE AND NO ENTRY SHALL BE ACCEPTED WHICH SPECIFIES ANY CONDITIONS AS TO ITS ACCEPTANCE. ENTRY FEES shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by action of Show Committee. If because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open or to complete the show, no refund of entry fee will be made. ERRORS ON ENTRY BLANKS. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever may make such errors, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date. CREDIT CARD ENTRIES, REGARDLESS OF METHOD SUBMITTED, are processed through the Fax program and will be charged a $4.00 per dog per show processing fee. NO REFUND FOR DUPLICATE ENTRIES. We will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, but if a dog has been processed, no refund will be made.

4 CONSULT JUDGING PROGRAM FOR TIME OF JUDGING. DOGS MAY ARRIVE any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. DOGS NOT REQUIRED for further judging will be excused. JUDGES WILL NOT WAIT FOR ANY DOG HOLDING UP A CLASS. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. The show-giving club and the superintendent have no obligation or responsibility for providing service through a public address system or stewards or runners for the purpose of calling or locating dogs that are not brought into the ring when required. ALL DOGS PRESENT must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the exercising ring. CLASS CASH PRIZES will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for prize money must be made in the ring before the judging of that breed is over, and the Superintendent to be advised at once. The Superintendent and Show-giving Club may disclaim any liability for cash prizes after the judging of the breed is over. THE SHOW COMMITTEE/SUPERINTENDENT will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, nor assume any liability in the event of an accident or misfortune to either dogs or exhibitors participating in this show. ENTRY FORM CHANGES, additions or corrections MUST be received in writing or by telegram prior to the closing of entries. Those received by telephone are NOT acceptable. IF, BECAUSE OF RIOTS, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management, it is impossible to open or to complete the show, no refund of entry will be made. THE SHOW-GIVING CLUB, the Show Superintendent, their agents, employees, etc., assume no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers or to any of their dogs or property and further assume no responsibility of injury to children not under the control of their parents or guardians. Effective May 1, 2006 an administrative fee of $2.00 will be withheld from all refunds for entries cancelled prior to the closing of entries. 6 JERSEY SHORE CLUSTER COVID-19 SOCIAL DISTANCING PLAN

EVENT ATTENDEES VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL RISKS RELATED TO EXPOSURE TO COMMUNICABLE DISEASES.

The following plan is designated at this time for the Jersey Shore Cluster of Dog Shows and subject to change. Failure to comply could subject the individual to being removed from the grounds and/or disciplinary action in accordance with AKC's Dealing with Misconduct booklet.

1. NO SPECTATORS ARE ALLOWED. THESE SHOWS ARE CLOSED TO GENERAL PUBLIC. THIS IS A SHOW AND GO SHOW. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR ACCESS PASS ON YOU AT ALL TIMES, EVEN WHEN SHOWING. All attendees (officials, judges, stewards, exhibitors and all workers) are required to follow state, local and facility guidelines in effect at the time of the event. 2. EXPOSURE TO COVID-19. If you have been recently in the presence of a person who has either tested positive for Covid-19 or has symptoms (coughing, sneezing, temperature), please stay home. If you are ill, feel unwell, coughing, sneezing or running a temperature, please stay home. All attendees are expected to adhere to social distancing guidelines and are required to wear a face covering. MASKS ARE REQUIRED UNDER TENTS, RINGS AND VENDOR AREAS. 3. Please remember to bring personal face coverings, hand sanitizer, gloves, cleaning wipes, etc. for your own personal use. 4. Exhibitors and all participants should SANITIZE hands as frequently as possible. Sanitizing stations will be provided throughout the facility for use. 5. WE WILL BE FOLLOWING THE SHOW AND GO PHILOSOPHY: To minimize the number of persons near the rings at any one time, be aware of and adhere to your scheduled times. Do not arrive at your designated location more than 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time and exit the area upon completion of your participation. Every ring will have ringside crating available in designated areas only. Each ring will have an entrance and an exit gate to cut down on traffic. Each ring will also have tables for self-serve ring numbers and for ribbons and trophies. 6. There will be no grooming tent provided. If you want to us a personal EZ-Up tent, you CANNOT put stakes in the ground to secure the tent from wind. The tent should be removed daily.

Show chairperson has the right to change the rules due to COVID-19 restrictions at the time of the show.

This Show will be held in compliance with COVID-19 state and local public health guidelines. Grounds and host club safety rules will be updated as the New Jersey Department of Public Health releases new requirements. Please be patient and understanding as we work to provide a safe environment for all.

I understand that a valid entry requires my agreement to the guidelines set forth by The Union County Kennel Club, Staten Island Kennel Club, The Plainfield Kennel Club, East Freehold Park, Site Control and RAU, Inc.

I have read, understand, and agree to the following rules and procedures set forth in this May 2021 Dog Show Cluster.

• To the best of my knowledge, I do not have COVID-19. • I have not been exposed to COVID-19 within the last 3 weeks. • I have had no symptoms (fever, cough, etc.) for 14 days or more. • I agree to wear a mask on the grounds at all times. • I agree to practice social distancing and frequent hand washing/sanitizing. • I understand that if I do not comply with these guidelines or refuse to comply, I will be asked to leave the show and entry fees will be forfeited.

I am entering this show at my own volition and am responsible for my own health. The Union County Kennel Club, Staten Island Kennel Club, The Plainfield Kennel Club, East Freehold Park, Site Control or RAU, Inc., are in no way liable for any present or future COVID-19 infection incurred at any time by any person, in attendance or not in attendance, before, during, or after this show.

7 National Owner-Handled Series Thursday - Monday May 27-31, 2021

The AKC Owner/Handled Series is a non-titling competition for dogs that are exhibited by their owners who are not professional handlers. This series of special competitions will be offered at dog shows across the country. All dogs that are owner/handled and are not owned or exhibited by professional handlers' meet the requirements for this competition. Exhibitors must declare their dog is Owner/Handler eligible at the time of entry using the check box on the entry form. Eligible dogs will be identified by an asterisk in the steward's book and the catalog. Dogs must be handled throughout the competition by an eligible owner. Professional handlers may not exhibit the dog in any competition during the entire show. The Owner Handled Best of Breed will be selected from the dogs that are eligible to compete in the Best of Breed competition including Winners Dog, Winners Bitch and winners of the non-regular classes. ! If the Best of Breed/Variety winner is Owner-Handled competition eligible, it will automatically be Owner Handled Best of Breed/Variety and be eligible to compete in both the regular as well as the Owner-Handled Group. ! If the Best of Breed/Variety winner is Owner-Handled competition ineligible and the Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed/Variety will compete against the eligible undefeated exhibits of the owner sex to determine Owner-Handled Best of Breed/Variety. ! If the Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed/Variety are both ineligible and Select Dog and Select Bitch are both eligible, the judge is to choose Best Owner-Handled exhibit from the Selects and eligible Winners Dog or Winners Bitch. ! If one of the Selects is eligible, excuse all dogs of the same sex and then choose Best Owner-Handled exhibit from the remaining dogs of the opposite sex including the eligible Winners. ! If Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed, Select Dog & Select Bitch are ineligible, the judge may choose any eligible dog remaining in the ring including Winners Dog or Winners Bitch as Owner- Handled Best of Breed/Variety. The breed will not be represented in the Owner-Handled Group if there is no eligible dog competing in the Best of Breed or in Best of Winners Competition. *Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers' organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves as handling dogs for pay or received payment for handling a dog.

8 North America Diving Dogs will be holding an all-breed dock diving event at the

2021 AKC Jersey Shore Cluster Dock diving is a fast-growing sport that is fun for dogs of all breeds and sizes. Titles are eligible for the AKC Title Recognition Program. Join the fun and excitement at this cluster and compete with your dogs for your titles or take the opportunity to try out the sport assisted by our experienced trainers.

Splashes ($28) include up to 4 minutes on the dock for 1 optional practice jump and 2 judged jumps. The jump order is first-come/ first-serve. When you are ready to jump, turn in your card to the judge (anytime up to 1 hour before splash end time) to hold your place in . Try-its will be allowed as space permits and during Splashes if no competitors are waiting to jump. Try-its cost $10.00 and each dog will be given 3 minutes on the dock.

9 10 11 NOTE: No dogs owned or co-owned by the president of any host club, show chairperson or member of any judges' selection committee connected with the Atlantic Shore Memorial Cluster or by members of their immediate families, will be eligible to be shown at this cluster of four shows.

16 A judge requesting the use of a ramp must give notice to the show superintendent/show secretary prior to judging. AKC approval is not required. The entire entry in a breed is to be examined in the same manner (ground, table, or ramp). At the discretion of the judge, the following breeds may be judged on a ramp through all levels of competition: Lagotto Romagnolo, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling , American Water Spaniels, English Springer Spaniels, Field Spaniels, Welsh Springer Spaniels, Grand Basset Griffon Vendeen, Standard Schnauzers, American Staffordshire , Irish Terriers, Kerry Blue Terriers, Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Finnish Spitz, Entlebucher Mountain Dogs, Finnish Lapphunds, Icelandic Sheepdogs, Norwegian Buhunds, Polish Lowland Sheepdogs, Spanish Water Dogs, and Norrbottenspets (Misc.). At the discretion of the judge through all levels of competition, the following breeds may be judged on a ramp, or on a table: Mudi. The following breeds must be judged on a ramp through all levels of conformation competition: Clumber Spaniels, Sussex Spaniels, Basset , Cirneco dell’Etnas, , Chinese Shar-Pei, Chow Chows and Keeshonden. This extends to all conformation competition at AKC conformation dog shows and any AKC event where a conformation title may be earned. This policy includes Group, BIS, Junior Showmanship, the 4–6 Month Beginner Puppy Competition, the AKC National Owner-Handled Series (NOHS), and all other special attractions that offer Group and BIS competitions. Ramps can be used in emergency situation to judge any breed.In an emergency situation, where use of a ramp is not indicated in the premium list, an exhibitor has the option of withdrawing their entry and receiving a refund. For the judging of juniors the ramp may be used at the discretion of the judge for the ramp optional breed

NOVICE INTERMEDIATE CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are at least 12 years old and under 15 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three First Places, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. NOVICE SENIOR CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are at least 15 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three First Places, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. OPEN JUNIOR CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are at least 9 years old and under 12 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won three First Places, with competition present, in a Novice Showmanship Class at a licensed or member show. OPEN INTERMEDIATE CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are at least 12 years old and under 15 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won three First Places, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. OPEN SENIOR CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are least 15 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won three First Places, with competition present, in a Novice Showmanship Class at a licensed or member show. MASTER CLASS: This Class will be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years on the day of the show, and who have won the 10 Best Junior wins with Competition. The calendar for this class will consistent with the eligibility dates for the AKC National Championship. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to entry the Master Class and may change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to complete for the following year.

Non-Regular Classes (Involving Single Dog Entries) All the Non-Regular Classes compete before Best of Breed Competition Veteran Dog Class. For dogs 8 years of age and under 10 years and 10 years of age and over Veteran Bitch Class. For bitches 8 years of age and under 10 years and 10 years of age and over Sled Dog Class: 1. Entry must be an American Kennel Club or Canadian Kennel Club registered Siberian Husky (eligible under chapter 15, Sec. 1 of the AKC Rules regarding Registration & Dog Shows). 2. There will be a class for dogs and a class for bitches. At the discretion of Show Chair additional classes may be offered based on the requirements of the Sled Dog Degree Program. 3. If entered in a class for which full entry fee was paid, no additional fee will be required to also exhibit in the sled dog class. If not, the entry fee to exhibit solely in Sled Dog will be a regular entry fee. 4. To qualify for entry in the Sled Dog Class, the dog must have completed one of the following three requirements: a. During the previous racing season, the applicant must have completed ten (10) heats on snow with a minimum of four (4) miles per heat or the total miles per season not being less than forty-eight (48) miles. The 48 miles up to 12 miles (25%) can come from Dryland Rig Races but the applicant must complete at least two (2) heats with a minimum of three (3) miles per heat. Dryland races must be on rigs. Rigs used must meet the definition of rig as defined by ISRDA under Dryland Races Rules. All races must be under the direction of a Recognized Race Giving Organization with rules and recorded results. A Race Season is from April 1 to March 31 of the following year. b. Entries who complete five (5) years in competition where the above rules are met shall be automatically qualified for the Sled Dog Class. A certificate of proof may be issued by the Chair of the Working Committee if the 5 years of proof of competition records are sent in.

Entries who have been awarded an SHCA Sled Dog Certificate, either SD, SDX or SDO and are additionally eligible for entry in a conformation class at an AKC event, are eligible to compete in the Sled Dog Class. 5. Spayed or neutered dogs are not exhibited in the Sled Dog Class as required by the American Kennel Club.

A list of the races in which the dog competed, or a copy of the five year certificate or a copy of the Sled Dog Degree must be sent to the Show Secretary when entry is made. Proof of qualification must be available at ringside with one of these shown if challenged. The Show Secretary shall request the following be provided with each entry to the Sled Dog Class: Each dog's AKC Registered Name, AKC Registered Number, Sex, Race and Date of Race, miles per heat and total miles --or a five (5) year proof certificate--or copy of the Sled Dog Degree.

37 Non-Regular Classes (Involving Single Dog Entries) All the Non-Regular Classes compete before Best of Breed Competition Veteran Dog Class. For dogs 8 years of age and under 10 years and 10 years of age and over Veteran Bitch Class. For bitches 8 years of age and under 10 years and 10 years of age and over Sled Dog Class: 1. Entry must be an American Kennel Club or Canadian Kennel Club registered Siberian Husky (eligible under chapter 15, Sec. 1 of the AKC Rules regarding Registration & Dog Shows). 2. There will be a class for dogs and a class for bitches. At the discretion of Show Chair additional classes may be offered based on the requirements of the Sled Dog Degree Program. 3. If entered in a class for which full entry fee was paid, no additional fee will be required to also exhibit in the sled dog class. If not, the entry fee to exhibit solely in Sled Dog will be a regular entry fee. 4. To qualify for entry in the Sled Dog Class, the dog must have completed one of the following three requirements: a. During the previous racing season, the applicant must have completed ten (10) heats on snow with a minimum of four (4) miles per heat or the total miles per season not being less than forty-eight (48) miles. The 48 miles up to 12 miles (25%) can come from Dryland Rig Races but the applicant must complete at least two (2) heats with a minimum of three (3) miles per heat. Dryland races must be on rigs. Rigs used must meet the definition of rig as defined by ISRDA under Dryland Races Rules. All races must be under the direction of a Recognized Race Giving Organization with rules and recorded results. A Race Season is from April 1 to March 31 of the following year. b. Entries who complete five (5) years in competition where the above rules are met shall be automatically qualified for the Sled Dog Class. A certificate of proof may be issued by the Chair of the Working Committee if the 5 years of proof of competition records are sent in. c. Entries who have been awarded an SHCA Sled Dog Certificate, either SD, SDX or SDO and are additionally eligible for entry in a conformation class at an AKC event, are eligible to compete in the Sled Dog Class. 5. Spayed or neutered dogs are not exhibited in the Sled Dog Class as required by the American Kennel Club.

A list of the races in which the dog competed, or a copy of the five year certificate or a copy of the Sled Dog Degree must be sent to the Show Secretary when entry is made. Proof of qualification must be available at ringside with one of these shown if challenged. The Show Secretary shall request the following be provided with each entry to the Sled Dog Class: Each dog's AKC Registered Name, AKC Registered Number, Sex, Race and Date of Race, miles per heat and total miles --or a five (5) year proof certificate--or copy of the Sled Dog Degree.

The safety and comfort of our exhibitors and dogs is of paramount importance. Overcrowding can occur under the ring tents at peak judging times and in inclement weather. Accordingly no crates or grooming tables will be permitted under the Conformation Ring tents at any time. This will be strictly enforced. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians' recommendation to assure that their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations.

! All spaces are assigned. No saving of spaced by cones, ex-pens or chairs is allowed. To park with another vehicle, reservations MUST come in the same envelope and indicate the vehicle(s) with which you wish to park.

! Attendants will direct you to assigned space.

! Overnight parking is limited to designated areas.

! Vehicles without overnight reservations will be parked only if space is available

! No refunds will be made after closing.

! No alcohol will be permitted on the Park rounds.
