INVISTA Performance Technologies (IPT) is the technology licensing group within INVISTA. IPT provides the resources and know-how to deliver world-scale technology for licensing to a growing portfolio of technologies in the value chains of polyester (PTA, polymer, fiber, 2R R),

polyurethane (BDO, PTMEG) and nylon (adipic acid, N2O abatement).

POLYESTER VALUE CHAIN IPT offers a range of technologies for the polyester value chain. The licensing business provides leading technology for the manufacture of purified terephthalic acid (PTA), 2R R technology for the recovery of valuable chemicals from residue streams, and polymerization technology for the manufacture of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) polymer. In collaboration with Chemtex International, IPT also provides a unique technology for the manufacture of staple fiber.

POLYURETHANE VALUE CHAIN INVISTA is a fully integrated spandex producer with developed and commercialized cost-competitive technologies for the manufacture

of 1,4 butanediol (BDO) tetrahydrofuran, (CH2)4O (THF), and polytetramethylene ether glycol (PTMEG), which are the key raw materials for the manufacture of spandex. These technologies are now available for license through IPT.
