Download Some Builders,IndustrialistsEtc Prisoners of powwwererer I believe that all prisoners of the world are produced by power and are hostages of power. Strength, authority, brutality, assassinations, genocide, oppression, slavery, exploitation, destruction, torture, mistreatment, the sadistic delight in pain, racism, violation, money, corruption and abuse are examples of what is power. The same power that’s disguised as the absolute truth, as religion, as democracy, as other authoritarian systems, which continue their existence and the government of our lives. Power is an enemy of solidarity and freedom, that is why it is our enemy. An enemy that we need to fight until it has disappeared, because it keeps us all like prisoners and it is destroying humanity as well as our planet. Prisons are the power’s camps of concentration, exploitation and extermination. They are power’s most cruel spaces, were torture, mistreatments and assassinations are their basic principles. Prisons are the worst environment for the fight against power. The main fight of prisoners is the fight for the respect of human dignity. In prison, they destroy you as a person and they even get away from you any lust for living. Fighting inside prison is very difficult, but I believe that it is important to fight in those spaces. Fighting inside prison gives you strengh to continue living, or at least to die fighting power and defending solidarity and freedom. That is why I am against prisons, because I am against power. We need to be conscious of these moments of collaboration and participation, which are day-to-day occurrences in the 21st century. As the governments bring forces to bear against the growing international movements of participa- tion and solidarity, our attempts to build a successful anti-market and anti-system critique and practice, alongside the suppression of traditional forms of dissent, assembly and expression, means that many previous leftist methods of struggle and organisation are redundant, along with the world that is rapidly aging with them. a data network for direct action . a media framework for social war . the refusal of fixed territory . The objective of our paper is to identify whether there is a connection between the type of drugs used at freetekno parties and the freetekno subculture in the sense of subjectively perceived connection between the type of used drugs and the specific type of a dance party. Another objective is to outline whether the possibility to buy/use a drug represents the priority motivation for visiting a party or only makes the atmosphere of an even as such complete. We selected the qualitative research, techniques of semi-structured interviews and participant observation in the party environment as the research method. The research set comprised of participants in randomly selected freetekno parties (N=10). The results of the research show that music and the overall atmosphere of an event with an accent on its tribal character are stated by respondents as the principal motivation for visiting a party.

Issue 6 Out of Phase Editorial: Out of Phase By Fernando Iazzetta, Lílian Campesato and Rui Chaves Figure 1 Contra Quem? / Against Whom? by André Damião (2017) (GiF) This special edition (6th issue) of Interference: A Journal of Audio Cultures, edited by Fernando Iazzetta, Lílian Campesato and Rui Chaves, comprises of a peer-reviewed1 selection of papers that were previously presented at the Sonologia 2016: Out of Phase conference2. This sound studies focused event took place in São Paulo, between the 22nd to the 25th of November (2016). The conference garnered a positive interest from a diverse set of researchers. In total, we had over 160 submissions in which we ended up selecting 40 presentations from 14 different countries that covered a wide array of areas and disciplines. The ‘Out of Phase’ theme was extended as the title for this issue. This cheeky metaphor was a humble attempt at promoting the emergence of other points of view that focused on particular, localised forms of knowledge that entailed material, political and cultural specificities. ‘Out of Phase’ was also an attempt to deal with the issues of authority and representation in regards to the ‘sonic’. Who says what? Whom are you speaking to? And why? Have you decided to speak in the name of? Have you left someone or somewhat behind? What has been left unspoken? These questions are targeted at us, both readers and tentative producers of knowledge in an academic setting (although these issues certainly extend to other remits). To be more precise, the above inquiry is focused, or if you prefer 'close miked', at the body of work that has emerged in the past few years under the name of sound studies.

Neotrance and the Psychedelic Festival GRAHAM ST JOHN UNIVERSITY OF REGINA, UNIVERSITY OF QUEENSLAND Abstract !is article explores the religio-spiritual characteristics of psytrance (psychedelic trance), attending speci"cally to the characteristics of what I call neotrance apparent within the contemporary trance event, the countercultural inheritance of the “tribal” psytrance festival, and the dramatizing of participants’ “ultimate concerns” within the festival framework. An exploration of the psychedelic festival offers insights on ecstatic (self- transcendent), performative (self-expressive) and re!exive (conscious alternative) trajectories within psytrance music culture. V Brně dne 15. května 2011 Jan Segeš Poděkování Děkuji doc. PhDr. Ta je odkrývána díky re-definici subkultury pomocí post- subkulturních teorií, zejména pak Maffesoliho konceptem neotribalismu a teorie dočasné autonomní zóny Hakima Beye. Práce se snaţí odkrýt obě úrovně politizace freetekno subkultury v českém prostředí pomocí analýzy dostupných dokumentů týkajících se teknivalů CzechTek, CzaroTek a pouličního festivalu DIY Karneval. Rozsah práce: základní text + poznámky pod čarou, titulní list, obsah, rejstřík, anotace a seznam literatury je 138 866 znaků. Klíčová slova: freetekno, politizace, dočasná autonomní zóna, DAZ, neo-kmen, neotribalismus, CzechTek, subkultura, post-subkultury ANNOTATION The presented work focuses on the politicization of the freetekno subculture in the Czech Republic. The politicization is perceived in two dimensions. The first dimension is the explicit politicization, which could be represented as the active political participation.
