The Visage 2.1 megapixel true day/night vandal resistant network dome camera has been designed for use in a wide range of surveillance applications. Utilising a progressive scan CMOS image sensor and removable IR cut filter, the camera’s advanced image acquisition system is capable of delivering real-time full HD 1080p video in even the most demanding of lighting conditions. Additionally, the integral LEDs (with disable function) provide illumination in zero lighting conditions. Images are transmitted using H.264 and MJPEG compression with multiple independent streaming technology for optimisation of storage and bandwidth. In particular, the use of H.264 provides superior image quality with low network bandwidth usage and minimal storage requirements, even at high frame rates. The Visage dome camera sets itself apart further by incorporating a fully motorised varifocal lens with remote zoom and focus control capability. Set on a 3 axis gimbel, the lens is simply positioned towards the target area and then adjusted via the control software. This considerably shortens installation and servicing time, and ensures optimal focus precision. The network camera is ONVIF compliant for seamless integration with third party video management and recording solutions. The camera also supports Power over Ethernet and is rated to IP66.
