Research Fellowship (2002). The University of Michigan Summer Workshop on CLOC (Changing Lives of Older Couples) and Principal Investigator of Coping with Bereavement in Later Life: A Longitudinal Analysis of Widows and Widowers. CLOC is a multi-wave prospective study of spousal bereavement, designed and carried out by Camille Wortman, Ron Kessler, Jim House and Jim Lepkowski. The analysis and distribution of these data were made possible by a grant from The

4 National Institute on Aging to the University of Michigan (Randolph Nesse, PI). Total Award: $1000.

Principal Investigator (2002-2003). Research project on Employment Characteristics of Independent Senior Citizens, First Community Village, Columbus. Wrote grant and supervised analysis of HERS data set. Coordinated focus groups and survey of employed senior citizens residing in life care communities. Total Award: $30,000.

Principal Investigator (2001-2002). National Transportation Highway Safety Administration. Follow-up of Older Persons Recommended to Stop Driving After Participation in an Older Driver Evaluation Program. Wrote grant and supervised in-depth face-to-face interviews of older nondrivers. Total Award: $12,900.

Co-Investigator (2000-2001). National Institute of Aging subcontract with JVC Radiology and Medical Analysis. The Psychometric Properties of ADEPT in the evaluation of medical student older patient interactions in a simulated home environment. Wrote grant and supervised implementation of assessments of communication between medical students and acting older persons in a simulated home environment. Total Award: $20,000.
