Naval Station Mayport MWR turned the base’s Sea Otter Pavilion into a Easter Eggstravaganza in recogni- tion of April as the month of the Military Child. Mayport children and their families braved wet weather to enjoy “egg”-ceptional fun during the fes- tival, which included pictures with the Easter Bunny. There were activities under the Pavilion, along with a cake walk and bubble pool. Mayport’s Fire & Emergency Services department put in a special appearance with their ladder truck. Hundreds of children participated in the early morn- ing Easter Egg hunt before heading off to enjoy face painting, bubbles and other activities set up around the pavilion. Kids scope out eggs and come up with a plan of action for their Easter egg hunt.
