3. Dimensional texture is achieved by weaving a 2 x 2 row with slack, and using the needle weaver to individually pull out each stitch. This is a very easy technique, and creates a beautiful texture to your wall hanging!

Loom Set-Up Following DIY Weaver ExtenderTM kit manual instructions, connect loom base from starter kit to loom base from extender kit.

Insert 28 standard pegs along bottom row of loom base, and 28 standard pegs along the 9th row of the extender loom base – 56 pegs placed for warp.

WALL HANGING Warp Following the manual instructions for Warping, set up the warp across 56 pegs with A.

Weft Following manual instructions, weave the weft as follows:

With B, weave 6 rows of Basic Weaving. With A, weave 12 rows of Basic Weaving.

Bubble Row: Following manual instructions for 2 x 2 weaving and with C, weave 1 row, leaving a lot of slack in the yarn. Insert the needle weaver under the slack yarn and pull up to create “bubbles” cross the row. Repeat the Bubble Row once more.

With D, weave 8 rows of Basic Weaving.

With E, repeat Bubble Row for 8 rows.

With F, weave 4 rows of Basic Weaving.

With G, weave 4 rows of 2 x 2 Weaving.

With H, weave 6 rows of 2 x 2 Weaving.

With I, repeat Bubble Row for 3 rows.

With H, weave 6 rows of 2 x 2 Weaving.

With G, weave 4 rows of 2 x 2 Weaving.

With E, weave 8 rows of 2 x 2 Weaving.

With D, weave 8 rows of Basic Weaving.

With C, repeat Bubble Row for 2 rows.

With A, weave 12 rows of Basic Weaving.

With B, weave the remainder of the warp using Basic Weaving.

FINISHING

Remove Weaving From Loom Carefully lift all the loops up and off the pegs.

Adding Fringe Following video instructions for Adding Fringe, cut 56 strands of A, about 12 in. (31 cm) long. Attach 2 strands to each bottom loop across Wall Hanging.

Attach Dowel Thread the tapestry needle with B. Knot end of yarn to top right corner of Hanging. Wrap yarn over dowel, then draw through top edge of Hanging. Working from right to left, continue to wrap yarn over dowel, then draw through top edge of Hanging, until Hanging is completely attached to dowel. Knot yarn, trim ends.

Hanger Cut a 24 in. (32 cm) length of B. Tie ends of strand to ends of dowel.

Weave in yarn ends.
