El Expreso de La Robla -Green Paradise : Oviedo-Bilbao Board a train that shows you the breathtaking landscape of Northern Spain that passes by your window, socialize with fellow passengers in the train’s lounge and indulge in a variety of culinary delights each day.

Itinerary Day 1 - Start in Oviedo

Reception on board the train between 12:15 and 13:15 pm at Oviedo Station (Calle Uría, s/n.) on the Metric gauge platforms. We will start our trip going towards Candás while we enjoy a cold lunch. Once arrived in Candás our coach will take us to Gijón. Sighseeing tour of this city facing the Cantabrian Sea and full of life and culture. Free time to stroll around the San Lorenzo Beach or the old quarter, before going back to the train in Candás, fishing village well known by its Sardine Fair and its sweets called “marañuelas”. Dinner and night in Candás.

Day 2 - Picos de Europa and Cangas de Onis Train trip to Arriondas while we enjoy our first breakfast on board. From Arriondas we will board our coach to climb up to the Picos de Europa National Park, with its lake Enol, where we will be able to stare at an amazing scenery as well as tasting the traditional Asturian cider. Visit to the Sanctuary of Covadonga and then coach trip down to Cangas de Onís to have lunch and take a look on its famous Roman Brigde. From Arriondas station, El Expreso de la Robla will approach Llanes, so we could know this beautiful fishing village of Eastern Asturias, where we will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 3 - Llanes to Santender While we enjoy breakfast, our train will take us to Cabezón de la Sal. From there we will have a coach trip to the Soplao Cave, a cavity considered a geological marvel due to its formations. Afterwards, we will have a walking tour around Santillana del Mar a village which preserves an immaculate medieval look. After lunch, coach trip to Cabezón de la Sal, where the train is waiting to take us to Santander. Sighseeing tour of the city. Dinner and night in Santander. Day 4 - Travel to Bilbao from Santender

After breakfast, transfer by bus to enjoy a relaxing boat ride and visiting a canning factory in Santoña, where they elaborate the typical anchovies and the northern bonito. Back on the train, we head towards Bilbao, where we will say farewell at La Concordia Station, a centric and remarkable modernist building dating back to 1902, considered one of the most genuine of Bilbao’s Belle Époque.

Destination Information Bilbao Bilbao is the largest city in the Basque Country and the capital of the province of Biscay. The city has recently undergone major urban renewal, in order to move away from the region's industrial history and instead focus on tourism and services. The developments are centered around the new metro system by Sir Norman Foster and, most of all, the Guggenheim Bilbao Museum by Frank Gehry. Other new landmarks include the Santiago Calatrava- designed Zubizuri Bridge and the Euskalduna Palace, a cultural center, further downstream. Cangas de Onís Cangas de Onís is a municipality in the eastern part of the autonomous community of Asturias in northwest Spain. It was the site of the first church constructed in post-conquest Iberia, Santa Cruz de Cangas de Onís (737), built on an ancient dolmen. More than 70 square kilometers of Cangas de Onís form part of the Parque Nacional de los Picos de Europa. Within the park is the village of Covadonga, where in In 722 AD, Iberian Christians won the battle over the Moors in the battle of Covadonga. This marked the first significant Christian victory over the occupying Moors; as such, it is often considered to be the start of the Reconquista.

Llanes Llanes is located in the province of Asturias, in northern Spain, on a narrow swath of land beneath the Picos de Europa and the Mar Cantabrico (Bay of Biscay). The region is part of the Costa Verde (Green Coast) of Spain, which is known for its spectacular coastal scenery, beaches, and mountains. The folklore, food, and fiestas of the region are famous for their color and history. Llanes is a traditional fishing port, with an active harbour and many notable monuments and traditions. Although small, Llanes, which is almost suspended above the ocean, is frequented by beach-goers in the summer months, with dozens of small beaches hiding around every corner. Three beaches and a spectacular cliff-top walk, the Paseo de San Pedro, add to the coastal atmosphere.

Oviedo Oviedo is the capital city of the Principality of Asturias in northern Spain. It has an interesting old town with various monuments listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, such as the 9th century Cámara Santa de Oviedo. Oviedo's old town, or "Casco Antiguo," is home to many beautifully restored buildings and squares. Some of the most outstanding are the Velarde Palace which hosts part of the Art Museum, the Town Hall, the Plaza del Fontan, the Palace of Torero and the Palace of Camposagrado.

Santander Santander is the elegant capital city of Cantabria in northern Spain, extending over a wide bay with views of the Cantabrian Sea. Its historic quarter includes a group of majestic buildings which are situated against an incredible natural backdrop of sea and mountains. Its marine and commercial tradition is linked to the city's main attractions such as the famous El Sardinero beach, the promenade and La Magdalena peninsula. The cultural wealth of Santander is enhanced with the passage of the Pilgrim's Route to Santiago de Compostela and the neighboring Altamira Caves, both of which have been declared World Heritage Sites.
