Our guided tours are intended to give our clients a taste of these wonderful islands with small groups of likeminded travelers. If you are a lone traveler or a group of three we can accommodate you.

Our tours take place throughout the year and each has a theme, however all will include guided tours of the island’s capitals and main points of interest.

Please note prices do not include flights and are based on two sharing, all our accommodation is handpicked and highly rated. Please see tour notes below for further details.

th th Easter in Syros: Wednesday 4 April – Wednesday 11 April 2018

Price £660 per person Start and end point: Mykonos Destinations: One night on Tinos and six on Syros. Board Basis: Breakfast on each day, welcome meal on Tinos, 4 x evening meals on Syros and Easter Sunday Feast.

Highlights: We are so excited by this tour! Visiting Tinos Town and the magnificent Church of Panagía Evangelístria a major site of pilgrimage in the Greek Orthodox Church. Guided tours of Ermoupoli- the capital of Syros with its neo-classical buildings and Ano-Syros the medieval capital of Syros. On Good Friday we will spend the evening in Ermoupoli where the processions from both Catholic and Orthodox churches gather in Miaouli Square and on Saturday evening we will be at the Cathedral of Saint George in Ano-Syros when the traditional fireworks are let off at midnight to celebrate the Resurrection. After Easter is finished we will also take a coach trip around this beautiful island. There are plenty of things lined up.

Spring in the Cyclades – Friday 27th April – Sunday 6th May 2018

Price: £770 per person Start and end point: Athens Destinations: One-night Athens Port, four nights Syros and four nights Tinos. Board Basis: Breakfast Athens, half-board on Syros and Tinos.

Highlights: A glorious time to be in the Cyclades, the warm spring days make it an ideal time for exploring beautiful countryside and the island capitals. The spring sunlight makes it an ideal time to take photographs of these beautiful islands. You will also get a chance to visit some beautiful churches, and indulge in some local food and drink tasting, as well as catching some spring sun.

Three Island Gastronomy Tour: Wednesday 23rd May – Monday 4th June 2018 and Wednesday 19th September – Monday 30th September.

Price: £950 per person (both tours) Start and end point: Athens Destinations: One-night Athens Port, three nights Tinos, four nights Syros and four nights Naxos Board Basis: Bed and breakfast.

Highlights: Food glorious food! Local drink and food tasting, Visits to local food and drink producers, get to cook with a local chef and eat the results, Greek patisserie and more. Including four days on the island of Naxos famous for it’s local produce. We will of course visit the islands capitals. Each of our hotels on the islands. are close to fabulous beaches and there will be plenty of time to soak up some early or late summer sun, depending on which tour you take.

Summer Equinox Tour with a focus on Art -Tuesday 12th June – Friday 22nd June 2018.-

Price: £900 per person Start and end point: Athens Destinations: Five nights Syros and five nights on Tinos, Board Basis: Half Board

Highlights: As well as visiting galleries, seeing an El Greco icon, and some Lear sketches, we will visit the beautiful Tinian “marble” village of Pyrgos and be accompanied on at least one session by a local photographer. We will visit many beautiful villages with fantastic photo opportunities. Of course, there will plenty of time to soak up the sun on some glorious beaches and swim in the beautiful Aegean Sea.

Beauty and the beach! Monday 25th June – Saturday 7th July and Monday 3rd September – and Monday 3rd September – Saturday 15th September 2018

Highlights: With an overnight and full day in Athens you can take some time to explore some wonderful locations including the Acropolis as our hotel lies in the historical district of Plaka. We will then head to Syros and Tinos, where we will incorporate the best sites to visit with some serious beach and swimming time!

The Catholic and Orthodox Heritage of Two Unique Cycladean Islands – Wednesday 17th October – Saturday 27th October 2018

Highlights: Historically Syros and Tinos have large Catholic communities as well as important Orthodox Heritage. Come with us to see some beautiful Churches, monasteries and convents. As well as the historical areas of both islands.

 Our prices do not include flights, most tours are suitable for flights from London Gatwick and Manchester, however there are alternative airports which fly direct to Athens including London Heathrow, Bristol, Edinburgh, Luton and London Stanstead. In certain circumstances to suit your flight choices an extra night will need to be added to the start or end of the tour, this costs approximately £50 per person. We can add your flights on for you, or you could choose to book your own.  Our prices are based on two people sharing a double or twin-bedded room., if you are a solo traveler or a group of three happy to share a room please contact us for further details. We will always have two places on our trips for lone travelers at no extra cost, these will be allocated on a “first come, first served basis” and are at the discretion of Astraeus Holidays.  Our hotels are handpicked and very highly rated. They are also chosen for their position and on the islands are mainly located within minutes of beautiful sandy beaches. All hotel rooms are en-suite, with aircon, kettles, hairdryers and TVs, rooms on the islands have their own balconies.  These tours are fully escorted and we will meet you at the airport and ensure your return. You will however have time for yourself, please request more information.  All tours include the cost of transfers, ferries and excursion.  We use a mix of transport for our tours, from private coaches, to taxis and public transport, dependent on the nature of the excursion.  Tour itineraries are available on request  We are not a walking tour company and any walking we do is moderate, of course you can always opt out on an excursion. If you have any mobility problems please let us know and we will advise on which tour is suitable.  Our tours are suitable for every age from 18 and above.  ▪Most museum entrance fees are small. We will specify which ones are included on the finalised itinerary.  All meals where stated are included.  We recommend you travel with as little luggage as possible, as you will need to transport it on and off ferries. We will happily provide you with hand washing powder!  This trip is intended for between 15 to 20 people and if we do not make the adequate numbers we may not be able to go ahead with it.  Orthodox churches and monasteries often have a dress-code.
