THE POLIO MUDDLE---THE NATIONAL HEALTH FEDERATION BULLETIN 1959 The purpose of this volume is to provide a working reference of various statements regarding vaccination and not to offer a "cure" of any specific disease in any specific individual. Preconceived opinions regarding vaccination will not be changed overnight nor by the reading of a single book. Herein are the opinions of many great scientists and doctors (of many schools). Many have spent a life-time of research—of trial and error before making their statements. The reader has the privilege to accept or to reject the statements after due deliberation. Thus we feel this volume should not be considered a dangerous book for the layman but a thought-provoking treatise. The Publisher. PREFACE For the past 2000 years physicians have been looking in the wrong direction for the cure of disease. Their worse than useless practice of killing germs with poison drugs has never — and can never — solve the problem of disease. During the Dark Ages, before the introduction of improved nutrition and sanitation, the world was intermittently visited with epidemics of smallpox. The cause was stubbornly ignored and the seeds for more disease were sown when vaccination was brought into popular use. This infusion of poison injected into the blood stream of the masses only served to intensify the disease in some cases, suppress the symptoms in others and create new and more serious diseases in still others. So, with the passing of years we have seen this misbegotten child of ignorance grow into a Frankenstein monster of immense proportions that moves relentlessly forward, grinding under foot the multitudes that throng its path. Through the lethal power of this poisoned needle, the simple zymotic (contagious) diseases of the past have been devolved into the horrors of the present — our terrifying and expanding crop of "killer diseases". Many of these strange "mystery diseases" that baffle the entire medical world, are the sordid products of vaccine poisons that disturb the chemical balance of the body and interfere with normal functioning. By Timothy Alexander Guzman Theme: History, Science and Medicine Global Research, February 27, 2015 Silent Crow 25 February 2015 When polio (poliomyelitis) became an epidemic in the U.S. and other parts of the world many people were understandably concerned. Diseases are absolutely frightening. During the 1950’s, polio made the public fearful. In April of 1952, Dr. Salk announced at the University of Michigan that he had developed a vaccine against the polio virus. That same day, the U.S. government approved a license for the immediate distribution of the polio vaccine. By 1954 the U.S. government allowed national testing for the newly developed vaccine which Dr. Salk himself developed by growing a live polio virus in kidney tissues in Asian Rhesus monkeys. He used formaldehyde to kill the virus. Dr. Salk injected the vaccine into humans with a small amount of the actual virus into the body so it’s natural defenses can build immunity or a defense mechanism against the virus. The first experimentations on humans resulted in 60%-70% who did not develop the virus although 200 people were reported to have caught the disease, 11 of them died as a result. The cause was a faulty batch, but regardless of the outcome, vaccine tests continued unabated. One year after the result, four million vaccinations were given in the U.S. By April 12th, 1955, the Salk vaccine was licensed for distribution after the results were officially published. The release of the polio vaccine prompted criticism.

He presently teaches philosophy at Milwaukee Area Technical College and classical civilization at Concordia University of Wisconsin. It may smack of quackery to claim that the medical profession can protect itself against attacks from within and without simply by returning to Hippocrates, Father of Western medicine, yet that is the thesis of this little study. I propose to support it by examining the philosophy and life's work of Herbert Ratner, a physician who until his death at 90, on December 6, 1997, devoted well over half a century to practicing and promoting Hippocratic medicine. ) The claim that Hippocrates can defend the profession from all attacks will seem all the more extreme when one considers their gravity. They fall under three broad and somewhat overlapping headings. Probably the most pressing concern among physicians today is subservience to big business, with threats from government not far behind.
