Este rasgo del ethos in- doeuropeo proyectó su influencia en la Alta Edad Media, perviviendo también, hasta la actualidad, en la literatura de tradición oral. Palabras clave: Céltica Hispana, Cantabria, castro de Las Rabas, culto al cráneo, tradición oral, Protohistoria, Alta Edad Media. Abstract: A recent point of view of the human skull found in "Las Rabas" cantabrian hillfort (Cervatos, Cantabria) and of its context, helps us to draw a new light on the celtic ritual of exposition and worship of the severed head, which was, as Archaeology demonstrates, frequently performed in Cantabria, because of its belonging to the Celtic Hispania and Celtic Europe. This trait of the indoeuro- pean ethos had a real influence and survived into the High Middle Ages, even in the present cantabrian folk oral literature. Nueva luz sobre el cráneo de Las Rabas. El castro cántabro de Las Rabas (Cervatos, Cantabria), excavado en 1968- 1969 por M.A. García Guinea; posteriormente, en 1986, por R. Vega, R. Rincón y E. van den Eynde, y en 2009-2010 por R. Bolado del Castillo, J. Callejo, P. A. Fernández Vega y L. Mantecón,1 es el escenario del hallazgo, durante las primeras incursiones arqueológicas de M.A. García Guinea en 1969, de un cráneo humano contemporáneo al propio asentamiento. Concretamente se trata de un «fragmento de esplacnocráneo integrado por maxilar superior y región orbitaria derechos, paredes mediales de la órbita y fosa nasal izquierdas, hueso frontal y esfenoides derecho».2 Este cráneo ha vuelto a atraer la atención de los arqueólogos más recientemente implicados en la ex- cavación del asentamiento,3 tanto desde el punto de vista de su datación, como desde el de su contextualización entre los elementos materiales del mismo. El castro de las Rabas se encuentra a casi mil metros de altura, al Noroeste del pueblo de Celada Marlantes, en una situación escasamente defendible, rodeado de cumbres en las inmediaciones que son más elevadas y estarían dotadas por lo tanto de un mayor control visual. Debido a lo anterior, los investigadores han deducido que su fundación se debió quizás más a cuestiones de tipo comercial (en la vía de pene- tración natural desde la Meseta hacia el mar, lo que favorecería la comunicación de sus gentes con la costa Cantábrica, los valles del Ebro y del Duero)4 y económico ______________ (1) CALLEJO, J. et al.: «El castro de las Rabas (Cervatos, Cantabria)», en MUNIBE nº 63 (2012), pp. 213-253. Al Norte existen restos de un foso y un talud de muralla; hacia el Sur se con- servan dos líneas defensivas edificadas: una externa («A»), con doble paramento relleno de ripio, tiene a una distancia de 8 metros una segunda muralla («B»), interna, con paramento exterior y probable camino de ronda, completadas ambas defensas con un foso, empalizadas y un posible sistema defensivo tipo chevaux-de-frise.6 Al Este se encuentra una vaguada natural sobre la que se levantan cantiles considerables que quizás contaran con defensas pétreas o de madera, extendidas hacia la cercana loma de La Mayuela.7 Algunos autores,8 en función de sus impresiones y también como resultado de los sondeos efectuados en la zona Noreste de dicha vaguada (diez en total realizados por García Guinea, junto a un nuevo sondeo de 2011),9 que arro- jaron el hallazgo de gran cantidad de materiales arqueológicos, toman este área del castro como lugar de asentamiento, a pesar de los problemas de habitabilidad que suscita su estrechez y el hecho de que es el canal de drenaje del deshielo y la lluvia ______________ (5) BOLADO DEL CASTILLO, R., FERNÁNDEZ VEGA, P. Obra sin publicar) opinan que son coetáneas. En este punto, M. A. Fraile López advierte de la posibilidad de que el acceso principal al castro se encontrara en la zona de rumbos paralelos de las murallas A y B, como una puerta en esviaje –si bien localiza otro acceso posible en la zona de la vaguada–. BOLADO, E., y FERNÁNDEZ VEGA, P. A. («Castro de las Rabas», Op. Cit., p. 411), junto con CALLEJO, J. («El castro de las Rabas», Op. Cit., p. 217), opinan que no son coetáneas: podría haberse edificado en dos momentos de la Edad del Hierro e incluso ser de factura romana, como sucedió en Monte Bernorio tras su asalto. Más bien esta vaguada podría ser un acceso natural al castro, que obligaría a cualquier visitante a quedar expuesto al control visual desde los cantiles del mismo10 –y también a contemplar, por parte de dicho visitante, las defensas del emplazamiento desde abajo–. Precisamente fue en esta área de la va- guada, en 1969, concretamente en la denominada «cata Tierra Julia», donde junto con gran cantidad de restos cerámicos (potencias estratigráficas entre los 1,5-2 metros de una tierra cenicienta),11 apareció nuestro cráneo, aislado, sin más restos óseos del individuo o de otros individuos. Para poder realizar dicho análisis emplearemos la herramienta de modelado numérico Delft3D. La metodología empleado ha sido la creación y calibración de un modelo hidrodinámico empleando el módulo Delft3D-FLOW, para después ejecutar los escenarios hidrodinámicos ideales sobre los cuales ejecutaremos el modelo de calidad. Dichos escenarios se han planteado usando los percentiles 10, 50 y 90 de la función de distribución. Para el modelo de calidad empleares D-Water Quality al cual le añadiremos un módulo de contaminación fecal para el modelado de CF. Por último se desarrollara un análisis de los resultados obtenidos para conocer la interacción que tienen las condiciones meteo-oceanograficas en el transporte y evolución de los CF. This document was designed as a tool for assessing and guiding water management in Spain. Although Spain’s future water policy is outlined in the conclusions, the points mentioned refer only to quantitative aspects of water resources without considering the issue of quality. Nonetheless, the issue of river, reservoir, lake and groundwater pollution is taken into account in the assessment section. Amongst the problems related to water quality, the White Paper notes, among others, problems related with Directives 91/271/EEC and 91/676/EEC.
