The Omicron Nu Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Incorporated awards graduating High School Seniors with qualifying criteria one-time scholarships to aid in pursuing the educational aspirations. The awards are not limited to College or University enrollments. Any graduating student that seeks to attain a registered Trade through an accredited Trade School or a career orientated certification seeking graduate can also apply for the Scholarship award.

The Omicron Nu Lambda Education Foundation recognizes outstanding scholastic achievements of students in the community and encourages higher educational pursuits. The Foundation identifies accomplished educators and supports school programs in the community.

The scholarship selections are made in the spring during the end of school year and college preparatory time frame.

The awards are presented at the Annual Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Recognition Activities sponsored by the Education Foundation.

Qualifying criteria for one of the scholarships offered by the Omicron Nu Lambda Education Foundation. The applicant’s parent(s)/guardian(s) must be a resident of Hardin County or a nearby County. The applicants must have attended a Hardin County High School or a nearby County High School.

1. Applicants must completely fill out and submit a scholarship application to the Omicron Nu Lambda Scholarship Committee on the web site omicronnulambda.com on or before the current deadline of 15 April, 2021. (Encl 1)

2. The applicant must include a signed parental consent stating: Graduate’s Name____ has permission to apply for the ONL APA Education Foundation Scholarship. (Encl 2)

3. The applicants must enclose an up-to-date transcript of their senior year of High School and a letter of consent from a parent or guardian to apply for the scholarship. (Encl 3)

4. The applicant must include a one page typed double spaced essay that addresses the importance of obtaining a good education and explain how higher education relates to their future career goals. (Encl 4)

5. The applicants must have maintained a minimum of 2.5 GPA per semester during their senior year.

6. The applicants must not have any other scholarships awarded that cover all college-related expenses.

7. The applicant must complete the scholarship application and have all four enclosures posted on the web site omicronnulambda.com or mailed to Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated, Omicron Nu Lambda Chapter, Attn: Scholarship Committee, P.O. Box 603 Radcliff, KY 40160 on or before the current deadline of 15 April, 2021.
