Successful Launch of BOOK by Mobility Offering

Following New York, Dallas and Los Angeles, BOOK by Cadillac has now also arrived in Munich for good, offering its members access to personal mobility with unrivaled flexibility. Since June 5, an exclusive concierge service has been delivering Cadillac and performance models to BOOK by Cadillac subscribers in the entire Munich metro area.

Since the launch of BOOK by Cadillac was officially communicated this April, the program managers have been recording applications and registrations far exceeding the number of planned subscriber slots. “This extremely high demand did not come as a complete surprise to us,” emphasized Helmut Stadler, Director Retail Network Development, who has principal responsibility for BOOK by Cadillac. “Our pilot in Munich from October 2017 to January 2018 clearly showed that the need for a service like BOOK by Cadillac exists here and we are delighted that at the moment our offering is the only one in Munich to satisfy this need. We are obviously in tune with the spirit of the times.”

Remarkable details include the fact that two thirds of the initial applications were received from subscribers aged 25 to 40 years, thus being much younger on average than Cadillac’s previous customers. Prospective members not only live in the Munich metro area but throughout Germany, which makes the American premium manufacturer confident of being able to offer BOOK by Cadillac far beyond Munich in the short or medium run.

“This illustrates that the classic ownership models are becoming less attractive particularly to the younger generation and may even become obsolete in the future. This trend is also discernible in the large number of sharing programs offered by our competitors,” added Felix Weller, Vice President Cadillac Europe. “In the spirit of our brand slogan Dare Greatly we are taking this one step further: Subscribers do not have to limit their choices to a specific segment or model. With BOOK by Cadillac all members can use exactly the car that best fits their needs at the moment for a period of time they select themselves. Not surprisingly, some US media have called our mobility program the Netflix of the automotive industry,” Weller continued.

A Cadillac Delivered to any Location within 48 Hours

Subscribers to the exclusive mobility service are able to select cars from the entire Cadillac product range and the Corvette and Camaro performance models. The opportunity to also choose from Chevrolet performance car models is unique in the world because in the services previously rolled out in New York, Dallas and Los Angeles this opportunity is not available. In Munich, Cadillac’s service encompasses three freely selectable subscription terms of one month, three or six months, starting at 1,500 euros/month for the six-month membership, 1,600 euros/month for the three-month membership and 1,700 euros/months for the one-month membership. Members may extend any of these terms as often as they like.

Subscribers can have their model of choice delivered by a concierge service to any location in the Munich metro area within 48 hours. The monthly flat rate includes maintenance, tax, insurance, summer or winter tires, autobahn vignettes for and Austria, and imposes no limitations on mileage or number of vehicle changes.
