Zurich, March 8, 2017 Cadillac shows Escala Concept and announces XT4 Crossover in Geneva • FLAGSHIP SEDAN CONCEPT SHOWCASES FUTURE DESIGN AND NEW TECHNOLOGIES OF THE U.S. PREMIUM BRAND • NEW XT4 CROSSOVER WILL BE LAUNCHED IN 2018 IN THE US Cadillac Europe Boulevard Lilienthal 6, • IT WILL FEATURE A NEW SERIES OF EFFICIENT AND POWERFUL CH-8152 Glattpark (Opfikon), Switzerland ENGINES With the European debut of the Escala Concept at the Geneva International Motor Show, Cadillac previews the design and technical ideas driving the next phase of Cadillac’s ongoing portfolio expansion. “As our brand expands, it will do so based on a strong foundation of product substance. The Escala Concept is indicative of that substance. It is the prototype for our ongoing product offensive, containing key aspects that will characterize our designs going forward”, said Johan de Nysschen, President, Cadillac. “Escala is a concept with two clear objectives,” de Nysschen continued. “First, Escala is a statement of intent for the next iteration of the Cadillac design language, and also technical concepts in development for future Cadillac models. Secondly, Escala builds Cadillac’s aspirational character, signaling the brand’s return to the pinnacle of premium. Escala is designed to be both a chauffeured driven vehicle that you would also passionately want to drive yourself. It features an expansive liftback design emphasizing the car’s considerable scale and versatility. At 5347 mm in overall length, Escala is roughly 150 mm longer than today’s CT6. “This concept shares how Cadillac will bring forward a new experience that is uniquely American, and unmistakably Cadillac,” says Malcolm Ward, director of Cadillac Design’s exterior studio.

  • For Immediate Release: Sunday
For Release: Tuesday, March 5, 2013 Chevrolet Lifts Lid on 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible GENEVA – Chevrolet revealed the 2014 Corvette Stingray convertible today at the Geneva Motor Show, featuring an all-new, fully electronic top that can be lowered remotely using the car’s key fob. The top can also be opened or closed on the go, at speeds of up to 30 mph (50 km/h). “The convertible has been a part of the heart and soul of Corvette since the very beginning in 1953,” said Ed Welburn, GM vice president of global design. “With the all-new Corvette Stingray, we designed and developed the coupe and convertible simultaneously. As a result, the Corvette Stingray offers an open-top driving experience with no compromise in performance, technology or design.” The Corvette Stingray coupe and convertible arrive in global markets in late 2013, with left- hand-drive models to be offered in Europe, the United Kingdom, the Middle East, Japan and Russia. Changes to Corvettes for export vary only in equipment required to accommodate a respective market’s regulations, such as lighting, headlamp washers and outside mirrors. “It's fitting to introduce the new Stingray convertible on the global stage at Geneva, because Corvette is the face of Chevrolet the world over,” said Susan Docherty, president and managing director of Chevrolet and Cadillac Europe. “It is an icon that has long been recognized and admired even in countries where it’s never officially been offered.” All of the performance technology and capabilities introduced on the Corvette Stingray coupe carry over to the convertible.

  • Soundtrack (C) Glenn Rivard 2014 Page Of
Soundtrack It’s always a long way to home, even longer on this dreary night. I am alone except, I suppose, for the company of my music, the songs playing randomly from the playlist. The night glides by in perfect darkness, only the car’s headlights tethering me to this world. The melodies of the passing soundtrack conjure up images of broken hearts, urban wastelands, other roadways. Life is a Highway comes to an end, then a mere second of silence, to be replaced incongruously by I Wanna Hold Your Hand. The jangle of the music jolts me, and without thought I find myself !transported back in time.! I am riding on a bus, not a school bus, but a city bus. This is a big deal for me. I’ve learned the route from home to my new school. I recognize many of the faces of the passengers. I know the bus driver, who is always the same, who always gives me a smile when I climb up the stairs !on my ten year old legs. I sit half-way down the bus and I am feeling pretty grown up.! Oh, I’ll tell you something! I think you’ll understand! When I say that something! !I wanna hold your hand! This is the soundtrack of my ride, running through my head in an ever repeating loop as I gaze out the window at the city going by. I know, quite self-consciously, that it is important. I under- stand its significance, for it is the first rock ’n roll song I have adopted as my own.

  • 'Life Is a Highway'
CONCERT PROGRAM part 1: approx. 45 min; part 2: approx. 50 min; plus intermission and encores ‘Life is a highway’ Part 1 A Thousand Miles (Arr.: Tobias Kiel) Fits the topic „highway“ perfectly. This song, originally by Vanessa Carlton was only written in 2002, but it's already a genuine classic; often performed by vocaldente as an opener to their show, as it immediately captivates the audience with its complex sound layers. Let’s Misbehave (Arr.: Oliver Gies) By now a must in every concert. A Charleston by the legendary Cole Porter ("Night & Day") conveying the wonderfully effusive lifestyle of the Roaring Twenties, creating the perfect base for vocal acrobatics and imitation of musical instruments. Footloose (Arr.: Tobias Kiel) Originally performed by Kenny Loggins as the title song of the 80s hit dance film, vocaldente turn this into a sweeping a cappella version garnished with acoustical and visual imitations of instruments - making the audience feel footloose! Kannst Du pfeifen, Johanna? (Can you whistle, Johanna?) (Arr.: Aaron Bredemeier/Jakob Buch) The hilarious tale of the enchanting Johanna who's capable of singing, whistling, eating pears, gargling, griping and - thank god! - keeping silent; originally by the famous Comedian Harmonists. With me (Arr.: Tobias Kiel) A touching and powerful ballad. Don´t be misled by the enchanting harmonies: they originally come from the Canadian college punk band Sum41. Have Fun (Arr. & Text & Musik: Tobias Kiel) You find yourself constantly brooding? Simply stop asking yourself what it´s all about and … and let go. A self composed song that charmingly reminds us to take things easy once in a while.
