On April 14, 2018, 13 months after the ground-breaking ceremony, the models of the two American automobile brands will now start selling at the new location of their sales partner, a member of mobilforum GRUPPE. The new car dealership in Dresden provides an expressive setting for Cadillac and Chevrolet Performance Cars that emphasizes the attributes the brands are typically known for. A 400-square meter showroom provides an impressive stage for the current models, from large luxury SUVs to high-tech sedans to super sports cars. U.S. car enthusiasts, prospects and customers are invited to linger in a lounge area to familiarize themselves with the wide range of the two brands at their leisure. A Virtual Reality section was included right from the beginning of the planning stage and now offers an impressive and intuitive alternative to the traditional process of configuring and purchasing a new automobile. Headsets make it possible for customers to move around the room freely and to continuously control their own actions, allowing viewers to deeply immerse themselves in the high-resolution virtual representation of the various models. This innovative visualization and live experience of the Cadillac model range rendered at the dealership now make this Cadillac location unique in Germany. In addition to the sale of new cars, the facility provides a full range of on-site garage and other customer services. “With this new dealership of mobilforum GRUPPE we illustrate that a showroom based on an American design concept can be very well adapted to Europe and appropriately implemented,” says Felix Weller, Vice President Cadillac Europe. “Examples of how European styling elements have been successfully incorporated in the new showroom include the LED lighting concept that has been installed here in a large area for the first time and the high-grade Vitra furniture inviting customers to linger.” This unique showroom has the character of a lighthouse project for Cadillac in Europe. From now on, all upcoming projects of Cadillac’s sales partners will use this showroom in Dresden-Kesselsdorf as a reference. Tobias Kaboth, managing director of the new showroom, explains the decision of opening an exclusively styled location that extracts the premium brands from the previous constellation in Dresden-Kaditz: “We have been a retail partner of General Motors since 2007. Now the right time has come for us to open an appropriate premium automobile location at which Cadillac and the Chevrolet Performance Cars Camaro and Corvette can join each other while retaining their respective brand identities in an attractive presentation.
