About Us
The Guest House at IIT Palakkad is located in the Ahalia campus. The Guest House has 14 Guest Room units of different types. These rooms can be allocated to the Institutes’ guests, guests of the employees, the Institute's alumni and on request to the parents of students. All guest room units have AC bedrooms and attached toilets with hot and cold water facility. Double beds and single beds are provided based on the category of these units. All rooms are serviced by an emergency generator set. These units are managed by the Guest House Manager and his team.
Allotment of Guest House units will be based on availability of rooms.
Reservation & Allotment Policy: (a) For booking facilities in Guest House & its Catering Services, an email request has to be given to the Guest House Manager at [email protected] with a copy to the Registrar’s Office at [email protected]. (b) Cancellation of bookings, if any, should be informed at the earliest to the Guest House Manager through mail at [email protected]. (c) Allotment of Guest House units will be subject to approval by the Competent Authority. (d) The booking is purely provisional and subject to availability. (e) No telephonic bookings will be entertained. (f) Confirmation of allotment will be informed through e-mail by the Guest House Manager. (g) Guests should confirm their time of arrival at the Guest House through email. (h) Guests are requested to fill up the register in the Guest House Office during Check-in and Check-out. (i) Check-in/ Check-out Time: 09.00 am. (j) Rooms will be allocated as per availability, requirement, and priority of guests. (k) Guests who are paying should settle their bills through cashless mode with the Guest House Office before checking out. (l) Guests are requested to deposit the keys at the Guest House Office while checking out. (m) Pet animals are not allowed in the Guest House Units.
Room Tariff:
In addition to institute guests visiting on official duty, guests and relatives of employees / institute guests/ alumni visiting on leave and parents of students (on specific requests) can utilise the services of the guest house through prior booking. The following tariff will be levied on a daily basis for such bookings:

Details of room allocated and its tariff will be intimated to the guests on confirmation of booking.
* Rate for Institute guests will be separate and charges will be reimbursed through book transfer from the Institute to the guest house account. No direct payment will be made by the Institute Guests at the guest house.
