The 26km Guangzhou-Shenzhen- High Speed Rail (Hong Kong Section) runs from West Kowloon, connecting Hong Kong with the Mainland's national high-speed rail network. Daily maintenances of the MTR operated “Vibrant Express” high-speed trains are performed at the Depot.

Promoting local tours has become an important initiative for the travel industry under the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to support the travel industry to add more local elements, MTR invites local tour operators to include Shek Kong Depot as a brand-new scenic spot in the itinerary during suspension of HSR service. Visiting the Depot and the “Vibrant Express” (please see Annex 1 for details) will bring local tourists an extraordinary experience of “High Speed Rail In-depth Tour”.

Interested parties please make visit appointments with HSR Group Sales Team as details below:

Opening Period 30/5,6/6 & 20/6/2021

Visiting Sessions 10:00 (except on 30/5), 11:00, 14:00, 15:00 (30 minutes each)

Available Quotas Each session is available for 1 tour only, on a first-come-first-served basis. Maximum 30 people for each tour (subject to the latest Government requirements)

Remarks • Tour Operator must hold a valid Travel Agent License issued by the Travel Agents Registry. • MTR Corporation shall have the full right to amend or cancel appointments subject to the Government’s latest preventive measures and MTR’s train service arrangement. • All applications submitted before the “Beginning date of appointment” or after the “Deadline of appointment” will not be accepted.
