SENIOR FOLLIES COUNCIL Senior Follies is governed by the Senior Follies Council, which is comprised of (back row, from left); Don Brewer, president, Cecil Dyar, Hal Pruitt, treasurer, Merl Twigg, Chuck Cape; (front row, from left) Carolyn Boling, Elaine Smith, DeDe Donnelly, secretary, Pat Shane, vice president, and Penny Mayfield, assistant director. The primary goal of the Council is to produce annual shows that offer good, clean, family entertain- ment and to generate activities and entertain- ment throughout the year. Council members work year round giving generously of their time and talents.

Bud Moon: Our pre-show tradition Bud Moon joined the cast of Anderson Senior Follies in 1995. Four years later, he started entertaining ticket-holders as they filled the seats of the auditorium. This was back when Follies shows were general admis- sion and groups had to arrive early to claim seats together. Bud’s most memorable highlights from the stage include introducing the large number of groups who arrive to each show in buses. One of his most unusual, quirky pre-shows was the year he came out of a portapotty dressed up in his overalls. “I owe much to my Senior Follies experiences in improving my humorous presentations and developing my speaking career,” he said. “I deeply Southern Belles: appreciate Annette allowing me to have a degree of freedom to do my own thing.” Seated: Dottie Lee, Anita Elrod, Judy Earle, Jane Dyar, Gloria Bolte; Standing: Sue Carpenter, It is with a lot of love for this Follies family and Susan Bryant, Helen Bush, Beth Cribbe, Aldora Keller, Edna Pitts-Reid, Penny Mayfield many wonderful memories that he has announced, that this is his final year in Senior Follies.
