The Teen Division of the East Baton Rouge Parish Library serves tweens and teens in grades 6—12. We invite you to soar with us and join Important Information Regarding Programs: our Teen Summer Reading Program. Earn Library Bucks when you sign up! Book Buds Party! Thurs, 6-27-2019 @ 11:00 am PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT Registered teens and kids are welcomed to end the Book Buds program with a bang by gathering for snacks. MAY Game Night/Summer Reading Kick-Off! Tues, 5-28-2019 @ 6pm JULY Kick off the summer with lots of fun! We’ll inform you about summer programs and library teen resources. Then Anime Your Way Mon, July 1 @ 10:00 am we’ll play games, chat, and munch on snacks. Don’t miss this fun step-by-step drawing program that teaches you how to create and modify an anime character Book Buds Orientation Thurs, 5-30-2019 @ 10am from scratch, no matter what your drawing level is! This orientation is for those who have registered for Book Buds. Book Buds is a summer program where teens are paired with young kids to practice reading skills. Registration Required. Galaxy Calming Bottles Tues, July 2 @ 2pm Come to the library to create cool, galaxy calming bottles! Get creative with your bottle and use it to calm down JUNE in stressful situations or use it as nightstand décor. Snacks and supplies will be provided. NOVAC Film Club Mon—Fri, June 10—14 @ 2pm Marshmallow Launchers Tues, July 16 @ 2pm Once again, NOVAC: BR is partnering up with your library to bring FREE filmmaking summer camps to teens Come launch marshmallows and mingle with other teens. ages13-17! Students will learn the basics of video production, including design, storyboarding, production, post- production, effects, and more through the hands-on process of creating a video, under the guidance of an Jean Journals Wed, July 17 @ 3pm experienced local filmmaker.
