Preface

I came late to the Magic Wagon party, so to speak. Although I have compiled this catalog, the contents are primarily a compilation of the work, dedication and love of the Magic Wagon products by the Magic Wagon team and individuals such as Tony Curtis, Simon Corneille, Ted Tamburo, Andy Martin and the many lovers and collectors of these small pieces of art that have been masterfully created. We, collectively, are also supported by the existence of The Magic Café which has provided a forum throughout the years for all of us communicate with each other, share ideas, thoughts, plots, suggestions and anything else that we can think of with regard to these creations.

Although I have little history of Magic Wagon, it is my understanding that the company was “discovered” by Tony Curtis. Through his urging Magic Wagon slowly expanded its offerings to a wider audience and their pieces are collected by individuals all over the world. Many pieces have been designed or heavily influenced by Tony Curtis, Simon Corneille, John Talbot, Rhett Bryson, Danny Selnick, Martin Breese, Howard Baltus, Mr. Thanawat, and I am sure many others who I have failed to identify. For a more detailed history of Magic Wagon, David (aka killertweety on the Café) has written an article which may be found here and was kind enough to permit me to link to it from this catalog. David has some excellent information as well as some unique photographs.

I believe that Tony Curtis has had the greatest “outside” influence in consulting and providing the names for many of the effects created by Magic Wagon. In 2013 Simon Corneille created a thread on the Magic Café that has become the primary vehicle for communication among Magic Wagon collectors. Although there are a few threads which discuss various Magic Wagon effects, the primary thread is the place anyone who appreciates Magic Wagon should begin. As of the creation of this version of the catalog, the thread is 146 pages long with over 107,000 views. [Update, as of April 1, 2017 the thread is now 205 pages long with over 156,000 views] It is highly recommended that newcomers read the thread in its entirety. Although it will take some time to get through, the knowledge gained from so many contributors is invaluable to Magic Wagon lovers.

Of all of the comments about the Magic Wagon line and their various effects, one of the greatest criticisms has nothing to do with their magic. Rather, it has everything to do with their photographs of their magic. I believe most would agree that their photographs leave something to be desired. Both Tony Curtis and Andy Martin have helped tremendously with their photographs of the Magic Wagon Pieces. Andy’s site (www.MartinsMagic.com) has, I believe, the largest online collection of magic in the world. Andy takes all of his own photographs and they help to bring out the beauty of the Magic Wagon Pieces. Tony also sells many of Magic Wagon’s pieces, when available, on his site (www.TonyCurtisMagic.com).

ii

Then along came Ted Tamburo. Ted is a photographer by trade and took it upon himself to start photographing many of Magic Wagon’s pieces. I believe that most would agree that Ted has taken the photographing of Magic Wagon’s work to the next level.

Much of Ted and Andy’s work is featured throughout this catalog and I cannot thank them enough for permitting me to use their exquisite photographs in this book. Additionally, you may find many on Tony’s website at this address: Ted’s Photographs

One of the benefits provided by Simon’s thread in the Magic Café is that it has had the effect of creating a “community” of individuals who appreciate Magic Wagon’s work. Throughout the thread the reader will find suggested handlings, themes, presentations, solutions, and just about anything you can imagine regarding Magic Wagon’s pieces. In that regard, everyone is incredibly helpful and a Café member who needs advice can readily find it on the Café or, can readily find a member that can help.

This brings me to the origin of this catalog. As a “relatively” new collector back in 2012 I sought out to find a list of all of the effects created by Magic Wagon. Unfortunately, one did not exist so I decided to create one. I scoured all of the information that I could find and yes, consulted with Magic Wagon too. Unfortunately, Magic Wagon’s records had been destroyed from a flood so they had no way to recreate a record of all of the magic they had created. To my knowledge, this catalog is the definitive guide to all of Magic Wagon’s creations. It has – I believe – a listing of every effect they have ever created along with the date, when available, of its release. It also lists original prices for each piece, pictures and descriptions. Again, without the help of Magic Wagon, Tony Curtis, Simon Corneille, Ted Tamburo, Andy Martin and many others it could not have come to fruition.

This latest edition has many new features. Among them are the icons you will find on the upper right-hand of each listing. The first icon will take you to the first page of the Table of Contents which follows this Preface. The second icon will take you to the listing on the Magic Wagon site (if it exists) for that piece and the final icon will take you to the place on the Magic Café where the piece is first discussed. Note that many pieces are discussed and many different places and a search in the Café will help you with specific Magic Wagon effects. Also, as requested by Ed Shern, the Table of Contents includes a “sortable” table. Now, this table contains check boxes that enable you to simply click on a box to “add” an effect to your collection.

I hope you find the catalog useful and I hope you Wagon’s pieces as much as we do.

Definitive Atomic Ball

Description of Effect

A game of chance played by the wealthy and powerful. One world leader plays against another. The end result is all or nothing. In a formal and elegant table setting a small box is opened to reveal a pair of dice, two metal cylinders and the Atomic ball, a shining silver sphere. The dice and cylinders are removed from the box and placed on the table for inspection. What happens next depends on a simple roll of the dice. You remove a center block from the box that holds the Atomic Ball, carefully remove the ball and place it gingerly in the hand of an audience member. The empty block is placed back in the box and the box closed. One of the dice with the 1 spot showing is placed on the box top. The die is covered with one of the metal cylinders. The Atomic Ball is gently placed atop the die. The second metal cylinder is stacked on top forming a small tube. The second die is now placed atop the Atomic Ball. This die has 5 spots showing. It protrudes from the top of the tube due to the Atomic Ball. Of course the combination of numbers, 1 and 5 do not make for a winning outcome. As you explain this, you turn the top die so the 6 is showing, creating a lucky 7 combination, and place it back atop the Atomic Ball. Suddenly the top die sinks into the tube. You dismantle the tube and clearly show the dice and cylinders. The Atomic Ball is gone. With empty hands you unlock the box and open its lid. Lo and behold, the Atomic Ball has returned safely to its secure block within the box. Our new Atomic Ball is truly the definitive version of this prop. The box is fabricated from exotic Zebra woods. Nothing has been spared in the construction of this effect. Highly polished aluminum cylinders designed to nest perfectly together form the tube. You are provided with a third die for switching in and out if desired.

Year of Release: 2009 Retail Price: Unknown

______

Photos courtesy of Magic Wagon (Editor’s Note: This was released in two versions – this version was in Mahogany and the other was made in Mahogany & Sycamore) I do not have correct photographs for both versions.

Description of Effect

A beautiful box and two black dice are shown. Both of the dice are then placed inside the box which is then closed and given to the spectator to shake. The spectator is now asked to open the box and add up the total of the numbers showing. The dice are shaken two more times, by the spectator, and each time the total showing is added to the previous total. The performer, who at no time sees any of the totals on the dice, is able to reveal the final total arrived at!

The performer then offers to repeat the effect by adding one more dice, making it even more impossible, but still the performer is able to predict the total of the dice after they are shaken several times!!!

It’s one of those effects that you can repeat over and over again and it gets even more puzzling with each repetition.

• Instantly repeat the effect with a different outcome. • Everything can be examined before and after the effect!

Description of Effect

Imagine handing out several business cards and pencils. The chosen spectators are now asked to secretly jot down any four digit number. For example, the year of their birth or the last four digits of their telephone number. The cards are then folded, sealed shut and placed in the locked chest through a small slot by each spectator. The box is shaken mixing the sealed business cards inside. Any spectator is now handed a key and then asked to open the chest and remove anyone of the folded business cards. With his back turned, the performer asks the spectator to open the selected card and then to concentrate on the four digit number written inside.

The performer begins to describe the meaning of the digits and finally writes them down, unseen on a large pad. The spectator is asked to call out the numbers on the selected card. The performer shows what he wrote on the pad and the numbers are identical to the ones called out by the spectator.

Mighty Mini Chameleon is capable of numerous effects and routines. Everything from design duplication to Q&A. With nothing suspicious to see, and no flap in the lid means the entire interior and exterior of Mighty Mini Chameleon can be viewed by the spectators.

Idea by: Larry Becker

______

Photos Courtesy of Andy Martin

Description of Effect

Have a spectator place an object in the box and ask him to secure the box with heavy rubber bands. Instantly you know what is in the drawer of the box! This device would make even Superman loose his confidence, as it gives you X-Ray Vision. It is manufactured from exotic top grade veneer wood. The drawer box is secured by stout rubber bands yet instantly you are empowered to know what the inside contents of the drawer are. Unquestionably this is a masterpiece of simplicity and mystery. No gimmicks! So easy to do. So diabolical in working. Just supply the showmanship and allow Boxxed II to do the rest! There are many possibilities for the imaginative performer. Picture yourself placing five coins of varying denominations and origins on the table. For example, coins from England, Germany, France, USA and Italy. The performer turns his back while a randomly selected participant is asked to imagine that he is vacationing in the country whose coin is one of the five on the table. The participant is then asked to place the coin of his choice in the drawer of the strikingly beautiful box. He is then asked to secure the drawer with several stout rubber bands so there is no way anyone can see the selected item that is sealed inside the box. The remaining four coins are placed out of sight before the performer turns and faces the participant. "Examine the box," the performer asks. "Make sure there are no windows, slits or trapdoors in the box." The participant does so. "Place the box between your cupped hands," the performer continues. The participant is now asked to imagine that he or she is visiting the country where the freely selected coin came from. Slowly the performer begins to describe the country, a city, and a historic landmark in that city. "The Vatican in Rome" Does the coin in the box between the palms of your hands come from Italy?" the performer asks. The participant confirms that the coin in the box did indeed come from Italy. 11 Layout Copyright Syd Beckman – All Rights Reserved Photographs Copyright their respective owners as noted Descriptions Copyright Magic Wagon [email protected]

Description of Effect4

The performer displays a small ornate veneer wood box which he states contains two items – a medallion and a small prediction encased in an envelope.

The medallion was worn in the past by sailors for good luck when passing through the infamous Bermuda Triangle. The medallion is now shown to a spectator who can see the various symbols and numbers engraved on it.

Essentially, the performer mentally transmits a freely selected number, between 1 and 1000, to the spectator.

After the spectator reveals the number they mentally “received”, a small envelope is opened containing the written prediction on an “authenticity slip” which was in a sealed envelope inside the box.

No forcing of the number is required and can be different every time!

Mini Cyclops Box

______

Photos courtesy of Andy Martin Photos are not of the Mini Cyclops Box

Description of Effect

Note: Pictures are of the Cyclops Box (manufacturer unknown), not the Mini Cyclops Box by Magic Wagon. They are believed to be identical except for the size.

Anything placed in the box by a spectator can be divined by the performer and he does not need to touch the box at all. One of the easiest effects is as follows: A pack of cards is shuffled and placed in the box. The top card is stared at by the spectator, remembered and the lid of the box is closed. Instantly the performer knows the selected card. The box does not work by radio control or anything like that and uses a principle rarely used in magic. In fact, I am not aware of any other magic item that works using the same principle. The idea was inspired by my love for model toy theatres as a child.

The box can be used for a psychometry effect. Personal items are placed in inside and the magician can say what the items are and who owns them. There are so many uses for the box and a few are included in the instructions which are packed with colour photographs. The instructions are almost a book with nearly 5000 words on eleven A4 pages.

Year of Release: ~ 2006 Retail Price: $ 29.95

______

Photos courtesy of Andy Martin

Description of Effect

The performer displays four plaques, each with numerals on each side in random order. The performer also clearly demonstrates that with the simple displacement of just one of the plaques, the number formed could be changed dramatically, even by thousands. For example, 1239 could very well have been 9123, a difference of almost 8000. The spectator is then invited to place the plaques in any order he wishes on to a small stand and to add up all of the five resulting four-digit numbers. The performer, without viewing the numbers which have been added, knows the total long before the spectator has commenced his addition!

• There are over three hundred different combinations of figures possible with the plaques.

• Instantly repeat the effect with a different outcome.

• No assistants are needed.

• There are no hidden calculators, yet the performer can immediately announce the total without any calculations.

• The method is absolutely undetectable! 23 Layout Copyright Syd Beckman – All Rights Reserved Photographs Copyright their respective owners as noted Descriptions Copyright Magic Wagon [email protected]

Description of Effect

A handsome box is opened revealing a set of four blocks of different recognized wild animals displayed within the tray. The performer now takes out the tray, shows the box entirely empty, and clearly places a prediction inside the box in front of the spectator, then replaces the tray. After the above is done, the spectator is invited to select his/her favorite jungle animal (This is totally free choice), remove it and write down the “Animal-Tracking Number” beneath the block. The performer then lifts the tray and clearly shows the prediction that previously put inside the box. The prediction is then removed by the spectator and read it aloud. Surprisingly, it exactly matches the chosen animal, right down to its tracking number!!!

There are many versions on the market, but none feature the ability to clearly show that the prediction was indeed placed inside the box at the beginning of the show. Despite that, your prediction is 100% accurate!

• The spectator has an absolutely free choice of any of the animals.

• The prediction was indeed placed inside the box at the beginning of the show.

Dvaravati Ka Cha

Product ID: 023 Year of Release: ~ 2007 Retail Price: $ 149.95

______

Photo courtesy of Magic Wagon Description of Effect

This type of beautiful exotic engravings on the gold tea kettles are only used in ceremonies involving the pouring of lustral water to convey blessing or to ask forgiveness. At the time, only royalty and the highest officials could afford, and were later allowed by sumptuary laws, to make widespread use of gold for their jewelry and household items.

This miniature tea kettle is a great replica of the original. Each tea kettle has been hand cast from solid brass instead of real gold, and then exquisitely hand engraved in an antique style by a master craftsman.

This is essentially a stunningly beautiful & miniature version of a classic magic effect with an improved mechanism to make the trick work as smooth as silk for its size.

The performer displays a tea kettle and three empty shot glasses. He then fills each of the glasses but each glass fills with a different colored liquid; red, yellow, and blue! While the spectator wonders where all these color drinks come from, the performer removes the cover and pulls out a multi-colored silk from the kettle - dry! Once the silk is removed, the performer then pours all three glasses of colored liquids back into the kettle, shakes it up and only clear water comes out of the kettle at the end!

This tea kettle is substantial at approximately nineteen and a half ounces of solid brass per kettle! It requires approx. 5-7 days to produce just one of these pieces. Due to an incredible amount of work and time only a few of these were made. It is literally a work of fine art!

The magician shows six of the world’s most remarkable flower cards along with a mini wallet containing the prediction. A spectator has a chance to choose one of the cards and remember it. Once this is done, the magician picks up the wallet which has been in full view of the spectator from the beginning and reaches inside. Sure enough, there is ONE card inside and it exactly matches the spectator’s selected card!

• An amazing prediction effect, with a great story line!

• The effect is self-working, no sleights of any kind.

• The method is absolutely ingenious!

Description of Effect

Special thanks to Mr. Tony Curtis for coming up with the name of this effect.

A spectator is given a deck of cards to examine and then thoroughly shuffle. The performer then points to a small box which is bound with a ribbon. Inside the box and clearly visible through a glass window is a face down playing card. The performer now slowly removes the ribbon and asks the spectator to open the box. The spectator then removes the card and shows it to the audience. To everyone’s surprise, the card from inside the box matches the top card from the examined and well-shuffled deck PERFECTLY! The effect is completely self-contained & the box also holds the poker size deck that is used.

• The window box remains in full view the entire time!

• A genuine ungimmicked deck is used!

• The effect can be repeated with a different card each and every time!

______

Photos courtesy of Magic Wagon (Editor’s Note: This was released in two versions – this version was in Mahogany and the other was made in Mahogany & Sycamore) I do not have correct photographs for both versions.

Description of Effect

Special thanks to Mr. Tony Curtis for coming up with the name of this effect.

Collector’s quality and hand finished in mahogany & sycamore!

• The three dice used are completely normal. • Instantly repeat the effect with a different outcome. • Everything can be examined before and after the effect!

Photos courtesy of Andy Martin

Description of Effect

From a well-shuffled deck, five cards are placed in an attractive wooden stand with backs of the cards toward the spectator. The performer then mentally selects one of these cards and immediately writes it on a piece of paper. The prediction is then handed to one of the spectators to hold and is never again touched by the performer. A different spectator is asked to call out any number from one to five (The choice is completely free); the other four cards are placed back into the deck leaving only the chosen card on the stand. The spectator removes a card at the chosen number and shown to the audience for verification, and the spectator holding the prediction reads it aloud. To everyone’s surprise, the selected card and prediction match EXACTLY! This card is then placed in the deck which makes a complete deck of cards without any duplicates.

• The cards can be examined and freely shuffled by the spectator. • No duplicate predictions or prediction switches, no forcing, no magician’s choice. • The effect can be repeated with a different predicted card.

The card clip is completely hand-crafted from teak with laser engraved numbering and delicately hand- painted in gold and then applied a lacquer finish. Description of Effect

This Deluxe set is designed in the style of our classic Block Assembly with a fitted wooden, velvet lined case. Each set made from exotic wood, seasoned and dried naturally over several decades. Concentric circles engraved on the top are the finishing touch to this beautiful prop. Our Deluxe set is easily one of the prettiest sets for the classic Chink-A-Chink effect.

Now, a beautiful classic Chink-A-Chink effect is performed, the blocks magically move from corner to corner until all four are assembled in one corner with what appears to be just a wave of the hands. At the finish, the hands are immediately shown empty. There is no lapping; in fact, this version can be done standing with short sleeves! No suspicious moves with this set because the blocks are not tapered; the grip is easy and secure.

The pedestal is openly placed on the cabinet’s floor and the door is then closed. The performer now picks up the sword and shows all around to be solid. A sword is then inserted into the sides of the cabinet near its top. With absolutely no hesitation, the performer pushed the sword down through the ring! Square Tubes of Pekka

Product ID: 039 Year of Release: ~ 2007 Retail Price: $199.95

______

Photos courtesy of Andy Martin

Description of Effect

On the performer’s table is seen a platform base and a set of two square tubes. One tube is solid. The other has two solid sides with two square windows, allowing a clear view right through. The tubes are assembled on the platform and the inner tube is lifted and shown unmistakably empty. It is then placed back onto a platform. The performer now reaches into the inner tube and produces a solid object like a cell phone, etc. seemingly from nowhere!

The performer now picks up the outer tube and shows all around, followed by the inner tube again being removed and shown empty from both ends (The spectator is allowed to even stick their hands inside to assure that it is, in fact, empty) and then placed back onto the platform. Immediately, another production of silks begins!

This really creates a very convincing illusion as the tubes both do seem to be truly empty up to the last second and it uses NO body loads or table loads of any kind.

The outer tube is adorned with Dark Mahogany while the inner tube and base of the unit are finished in African Zebra Wood. The photos really don’t do justice to this gorgeous prop. It is absolutely striking in appearance and utterly practical in use.

Square Tube of Pekka is approximately 6.5” high when standing on the 4-leg base and the actual base of the unit is 5 3/4” square. The outer tube is 3.5” square and the inner tube is approximately 3” square and about 5.5” high. Finished in the finest possible coating with hand polishing and sanding in between.

Description of Effect

This is basically Color Vision outdone. What sets this apart from all others (besides the meticulous craftsmanship) is that it is a radically different method for divining a chosen number on a die. The intricate detailed woodwork on this piece is truly outstanding. A lot of effort went into putting this together…

The die is removed from a beautiful wooden box and both die and box are examined thoroughly by the spectator. The performer then turns his back and the spectator secretly places the die with his favorite number on top into the box and locks it closed. The performer now turns around and holds the box in full view. Without asking a single question, the performer immediately announced the selected number while the box is still locked! The box and die can then be immediately handed to the spectator to examine completely and the effect can be repeated over and over again without fear of detection.

Din Daeng Die Vision is made entirely of teak and completely hand-crafted with brass accents.

Description of Effect

The performer displays a handsome tray on which sets four beautiful boxes and four completely opaque felt drawstring bags. He then brings forth a $100 bill with three blank sheets of similarly sized paper and tells the audience that they will have a chance to win the $$$ today. All four items are placed one into each box and the boxes then dropped into the drawstring bags. As a challenge, the performer either stands with his back turned, is genuinely blindfolded, or even leaves the room entirely, while the spectator is mixed the bags all up. Without even touching or seeing the bags or boxes, the performer takes one bag, leaving the remaining three with a spectator. Despite these test conditions, he announces that whoever holds the $100 bill may keep it! Needless to say, the spectator’s boxes hold only the blank slips!

______

Photos courtesy of Andy Martin

Description of Effect

The following routine is based on the original “Nostradamus” that was first marketed by Mr. Charles Gauci in 2000.

The performer displays a wooden board with sixteen brass hangers. He also displays sixteen numbered chips, each bearing the number 1 through 16. The performer hands anyone a sealed prediction and then proposes to place the chips face down onto the board in an order to be completely determined by the audience. Four spectators are each allowed to mix the chips thoroughly and direct the performer as to where to hang each and every one of the chips on the board.

When completed, the performer turns the sixteen chips around and the figures are added together. He then explains that with the simple displacement of just one of the chips, the number formed could be changed dramatically, even by thousands.

The spectator holding the prediction is instructed to open it and read it aloud. To everyone’s surprise, the resulting total matches exactly a sealed prediction given to a spectator since the beginning of the show!

• There are over 300,000 different combinations! • Only one prediction used and there is no secret writing of any kind in the above routine! • A truly baffling feat and a real puzzler!

The board is approximately 9.5” square. Complete with a custom designed Chip Holder & a display stand.

Description of Effect

The cabinet with three numbers on its face is shown all around and the lid is then lifted. Despite this, the performer turns around and immediately announces the correct location of the Skull! The effect can be immediately repeated and everything can be handled and examined.

The texture of this little cabinet is a great replica of an 18th century shipwreck wood with rusty nails as it was all recovered from sunken vessels in the colonial days. The miniature Skull is delicately made and well finished with contrasting natural color. Each set is of a resin composite material that creates exceptional details and realism.

Description of Effect

This is basically a billet knife on steroids with a very sensible addition to eliminate the need for the assistant! Unlike the original, you can begin with the knife on the table before you start!

You can still perform the standard routines with this billet knife but you cannot do the following routine with other versions on the market!

A paper knife and three envelopes each with the word “Performer”, “Spectator”, and “Audiences” written on it are shown. The envelopes are then handed to a spectator to hold and he may examine these envelopes to assure they are sealed and have never been tampered with. The performer then calls out three objects in the room and asks the spectator to choose one for himself, one for the performer, and one to be given to the audiences. The choices are always up to the spectator and he may change his mind before he commits to the selections. Once the prediction is ready to be revealed, the performer points out that he actually knew, way in advance, what the outcome of this experiment would be. To prove it, the performer takes each envelope and slits it open with a paper knife, handing it back to the spectator to remove the contents. Inside each envelope, he finds a prediction which matches exactly where each of the object is now located!

This uniquely and expertly engineered billet knife is made entirely of the finest selected teak with a measurement of nearly 9” long by a master craftsman. 61 Layout Copyright Syd Beckman – All Rights Reserved Photographs Copyright their respective owners as noted Descriptions Copyright Magic Wagon [email protected]

Photos courtesy of Andy Martin

Description of Effect

The performer displays a small wooden box with a lid on top. He then opens the lid, shows the box entirely empty, and clearly places a prediction (a folded card) inside. The lid is replaced and the box is set in full view on the table. A card is then freely chosen, signed and returned to the deck by a spectator. The performer now offers to find the chosen card without even looking at the cards. After a few failed attempts, he absolutely hopes that at least his prediction is somehow correct. The performer then points to a wooden box that has been in plain sight all along and lifts the lid to clearly show a folded card that was previously put inside. A folded card is now removed by the spectator. Once unfolded, the spectator is amazed to find that the prediction not only matches her freely chosen card but also has her signature that she just signed a moment ago! • The spectator has an absolutely free choice of any card! • The prediction can be removed by the spectator! • The box remains in full view the entire time! • The prediction was indeed placed inside the box before the card was ever even signed!

This exquisite little box can be used with a bank note, a piece of paper or a borrowed & signed coin, etc. There are many routines and variations are possible! Finished in the finest possible coating with hand polishing and sanding in between. 64 Layout Copyright Syd Beckman – All Rights Reserved Photographs Copyright their respective owners as noted Descriptions Copyright Magic Wagon [email protected]

Description of Effect

A beautiful box on a low elevated platform base is displayed. The performer then brings forth a number of dominoes and the spectator may examine these to assure that there are no duplicates. All of the dominoes are placed into the box and the lid is then closed. The performer takes the box off the base, hands it to a spectator and asks him to mix the dominoes inside by shaking it. Once done, the performer writes a prediction on a slip of paper and hands it to an audience member. The spectator is now asked to shake the box slightly until a domino comes through the slot. Say, for example, the number on the domino is one- five. The prediction is opened and read aloud. Surprisingly, it shows one-five!

• The lid, box and base of the unit can be completely examined! • The effect can be immediately repeated with a different outcome! • There are endless possibilities for magicians, mentalists and psychic entertainers!

The Oracle can be used also for different casino chips, jigsaw puzzle, foreign coins, colored tags and so on. This is basically a wonderful piece of utility item that actually allows the performer to present a range of effects!

Mini Chairs Prediction

Product ID: 062 Year of Release: ~ 2008 Retail Price: $225.00

______

Photos courtesy of Andy Martin

Description of Effect

With four miniature chairs in a row across the table, three spectators are invited to randomly choose their seat. After the spectators are “seated” in the chair of their choice, three brass plates with a “question mark” symbol on top are introduced. The brass plates are then mixed by one of the spectators and each spectator is given a free choice of one of the plates. The performer points out that each person’s plate has a different color underneath and then, one at a time, reveals that the color affixed to each chair is actually the same color which the spectator is holding! For the surprise finish, all of the chairs are turned around where they find a word “SEATED” which is genuinely engraved on the back of each chair except the one that was left empty!

The chairs and color plates were freely chosen yet the performer has predicted which chair has been chosen, which color the participants have randomly selected and which chair was left empty. A truly amazing prediction with a very clever ending!

• No forces. • No magician’s choices. • No special envelopes. • No equivoques. • No stooges. • No pre-show work. • The method can be repeated for the same audiences!

Each chair in each set is made with care and attention, and completely hand-crafted of genuine teak. The workmanship is collectable quality. Each chair is approximately 2” square and about 4.5” high. 66 Layout Copyright Syd Beckman – All Rights Reserved Photographs Copyright their respective owners as noted Descriptions Copyright Magic Wagon [email protected]

Description of Effect

Another great classic is now in miniature version!

Four blocks numbered 1 through 4 and an empty tube are displayed. Each block is then stacked on top of the other, in numerical order starting with number 1 on the bottom and covered with the tube. The performer points to the vertical easel and openly places the numbered plates on the easel with the 1 on top and 4 on bottom. When the cover is removed, the blocks have now magically rearranged themselves to exactly match the order on the easel! This is repeated several times. Each time they end up in the exact same order. To conclude, a spectator is invited to arrange the numbers on the easel in any order he chooses. Despite this, the cover is lifted and the stack of blocks still matches perfectly!

Each set is delicately hand-crafted from hardwood and adorned with brass engraved numbered plates. Each block is approximately 1 1/8” cubed and the tube is 4.5” in height.

Description of Effect

An incredible combination of elegant style, classic design, and exceptional craftsmanship!

The performer displays an antique wooden clock and asks a spectator to think about a time, down to the minute in their life that has special meaning to them. The performer merely turns the clock away from the spectator and set the time, in full view. For the first time, the spectator announces her freely chosen time. Let’s say she says, 7:45. That same spectator is now invited to come up and turn the clock around. The time which had been previously set by the performer before any numbers were given exactly matches the spectator’s freely selected time!

• There is absolutely no force of any kind. • The effect can be immediately repeated. • After setting the time, the performer never needs to touch the clock again!

The entire unit has been designed from the ground up using only the quality parts available and executed in impressive elegant style. Our clock distinguishes itself by its attractive finish on the wood with a beautifully designed antique clock face and fancy style clock hands. It really is an exquisite piece of apparatus!

The Secret Agent Product ID: 068 Year of Release: ~ 2009 Retail Price: $375.00

______

Description of Effect

The Secret Agent is an electronic utility device that will open the doors to several incredible effects. The mysteries that can be created are limited only by one’s imagination. The followings are just the tip of the iceberg.

Dream Car: Three members of the audience are picked at random. While the performer’s back is turned or he may completely leave the room, the first person freely selects the make of an automobile, the second person chooses a color. The third person decides on a holiday or event (Birthday, Christmas, etc.) for which the car was purchased. Without the spectators saying a word, the performer can accurately reveal the spectators’ dream car.

Emotional Card: A red and a blue deck are introduced, both un-gimmicked. A spectator chooses one of two decks and then shuffles the deck completely. Another spectator freely chooses a card and returns it face up to the deck. Once done, the performer immediately announces the chosen color and the only face up card in the freely shuffled deck from across the room!

Ultimate Influence: A spectator picks up four ordinary objects off the table and places each one into a different pocket. The performer correctly reveals which objects are in which pocket instantly without going anywhere near the spectator!

No Props Pseudo Psychometry: Items are borrowed from the audience members and genuinely mixed as the performer looks away. The performer then brings out each object and identifies which item is owned by which person.

Magic Menu: Bring forth several menus from different restaurants and hand them to a spectator. With your back turned toward the audience, allow the spectator to decide which restaurant he would like to go to, and freely select any item from that menu. Despite the fact that each restaurant has a wide variety of selections, when you turn around, you can reveal the chosen restaurant and the exact item that was freely selected without asking a single question! Of course, there is absolutely no force of any kind and the effect can be immediately repeated with a different outcome.

By taking the advantage of two-way RF technology & new protocol technique, The Secret Agent could signal a more in-depth code system, maintain links and ensure reliable operation.

Each unit is professionally constructed by a team of electronic engineers and intended for theatrical presentations, magicians and mentalists alike.

Mod Quad Penetration

Product ID: 069

Year of Release: ~ 2009 Retail Price: $495.00

______

Photos courtesy of Andy Martin

Description of Effect

Unquestionably, Mod Quad Penetration is one of the finest glass penetrations ever presented to the magic fraternity. Our version uses one of the most unique and intricately built mechanisms you’ll find in all magic. The mechanics of the frame are more involved than you probably think. It is truly a masterpiece of engineering.

The performer displays a window frame on both sides with four panes of glass along with two panel covers and a sword. Each glass pane is tapped with the sword to show it solid, and they truly are. Now, two panels each with four holes are placed on the frame, one in front of the glass and one behind.

The spectator is invited to point to any of the hole and, without hesitation; the performer pushes a sword through the chosen hole, apparently penetrating the glass. The performer then hands the spectator a sword and asks him to push it through the very same hole but it does not, the glass is in fact solid!

The performer then says some magic words and uses the sword to push a ribbon through one of the four holes and the ribbon left in place. This is repeated with the other three holes. The frame is then shown back and front with the ribbons running completely through! The performer now removes the ribbons and immediately lifts the panels, showing the glass unharmed and still perfectly solid!

The four holes represent the center of each of the panes and there appears to be no way the ribbons could have gone through them. It truly looks impossible!

The apparatus stands approximately 24cms high and 20cms wide and completely hand-crafted of genuine teak.

A museum-quality piece!

Description of Effect

An ornate wooden box and two decks of cards (one red and the other blue) are displayed. A spectator is invited to select a deck of cards (Let’s assume the spectator selects the red deck). He is now asked to select a card from the deck and place it in the wooden box (Say the Jack of Diamonds). After a magical gesture over the wooden box, the performer explains that the selected card will jump from the wooden box to the other deck and turn face up. The spectator is now asked to look inside the blue card box and only to find that it is completely empty! When the lid of the wooden box is removed, a blue deck of cards has miraculously appeared inside! Where’s the red-backed Jack of Diamonds? The spectator then spreads thru the blue deck to find that all the cards run in perfect number & suit order EXCEPT there is one card and one card only reversed in the deck. It is the red-backed Jack of Diamonds!

Description of Effect

This is the first time we have a vintage gold graphic especially designed for magic apparatus. Each image is uniquely hand-finished using the same techniques and materials used in the Jewelry Box industry. An ultra-clear, glossy coating is then applied to the images for added protection and an exceptional quality finish.

The performer shows a miniature coffin with a nice looking case that has four “keyholes” on the lid, each with a number 1, 2, 3 or 4 under it. While the performer’s back is turned, the spectator is asked to open the case and place the miniature coffin in any of the four compartments then lock the case. When done, the performer turns around and simply peers into each “keyhole” through a little magnifying glass and immediately announces which compartment contains the coffin!

The effect can be immediately repeated and the apparatus can be completely examined including the magnifying glass (Waltex Pocket Magnifier supplied).

Miracle Card Frame

Product ID: 074 Year of Release: ~ 2009

Retail Price: $289.95

______

Photos courtesy of Andy Martin Description of Effect

Hundreds of hours have gone into the development of this mechanical marvel. The method used is highly elaborate and mechanically sophisticated not only due to the complexity of the mechanism themselves, but also as a consequence of manufacturing processes. The brass & glass work mechanism inside was an amazing piece of construction!

Unquestionably, this is one of the most dramatic, visible transformations you will ever encounter. Here’s a sensational series of high impact effects, all incorporated into a self-contained, handcrafted wooden frame.

Routine #1: A spectator is invited to select a card from the deck and it is noted by all except the performer. The performer then shows a small wooden frame to be completely empty, and even wave his finger behind the frame to let the audience see his finger right through. The performer then takes the Joker and slowly slides it into the frame. To everyone’s surprise, the Joker visibly turns into the selected card! This looks absolutely incredible as the card never leaves the sight of the audience!

Routine #2: The performer shows a small wooden frame and states that the face down card in the frame is a prediction. The frame is then set aside in full view with its back toward the audience. Now, the spectator is asked to select a card from the deck and announce the name of his chosen card. The frame is then turned around and it is, much to the performer’s surprise, the prediction does not match! How did that happen? But, the performer says he can remedy this and warns the audiences not take their eyes off the card. He then slowly pulls the card out of the frame and it visibly changes to the chosen card! It’s a truly surprising and baffling close-up illusion!

Routine #3: A card is freely selected and signed across the face before being lost back into the deck. The performer now states that he’ll find the selected card in a more novel manner. He then spreads the deck face down on the table and immediately places one card into a small wooden frame. When the frame is turned around, it is NOT the signed card. Uh-oh! As performer makes a magical gesture, he slowly pulls the incorrect card out of the frame and it visibly changes to the spectator’s signed card! It looks absolutely amazing! The card is then removed from the frame and handed to the spectator as a souvenir!

Each Miracle Card Frame comes complete with a custom designed display stand.

Photo courtesy of Magic Wagon Description of Effect

< See Mystique – Product ID 75 for full description >

The performer hands a spectator five ESP cards, along with five opaque envelopes. While the performer’s back is turned, the spectator mixes the cards completely and inserts one card into each envelope. The envelopes are then sealed and again mixed completely so the performer could not possibly know which cards go where. The spectator now hands one envelope to the performer, who immediately draws a big bold ESP symbol right on the envelope and hands it to a spectator. This is repeated with all five envelopes with absolutely no hesitation. The spectator now opens the envelopes and it is seen that the performer has perfectly divined the contents of each envelope! The envelope with the Circle drawn on it does, in fact, contain the Circle ESP card, the Square envelope contains the Square, etc. It’s a clever effect and a baffler since neither the cards nor the envelopes are marked in any way and can be examined completely.

This set will also come with 5 Blank Cards. Simply use an erasable washable marker or attach stickers to create your own routines.

Each card measures approximately 5.4cms x 8.5cms.

______

Photos courtesy of Andy Martin

Description of Effect

Based on an original idea from Mr. Robert Jackson’s Zig Zag Card. A stunning visual magic and a great mini-illusion!

A card is shown and openly inserted into a small flat cabinet. Three covers are removed and the cabinet is shown on both sides with the card in full view. Now, in this condition, the middle section is pulled out to the side, visibly cutting the card into thirds! A finger or pencil is pushed completely through the empty space proving that the center section is truly moved out of the way. The cabinet is then returned to its original condition and the card is removed and shown to be fully restored! • The card can be completely examined! • No switching or palming the card out at any time! • The very special cabinet does all the work for you!

What really separates this version from all the others is the way that the effect is achieved. The cabinet is almost the exact size of a regular playing card which seems to make it impossible to perform the classic Zig Zag Illusion! Our Zig Zag Card is beautifully crafted from the finest selected teak with a hand-rubbed oil finish by a master craftsman.

Description of Effect

This elegantly designed version of the classic Blue Phantom has been exquisitely hand crafted by a master craftsman. Each unit demands high precision woodworking skills as well as turning skills. A combination of teak and brass is simply striking in appearance! Seven separate checkers are stacked on the rod with the blue one at the top. They are then covered by the attractive cylinder. Upon lifting the cylinder, it is seen that the blue checker has mysteriously moved to the center of the stack! The cylinder is replaced and it once again removed only to find the blue checker has melted all the way down to the bottom of the stack! The checkers are then removed one by one and shown once again to be just seven solid and separate checkers. The beautiful turned base has a unique locking mechanism built inside rather than having to lift and lower the rod as found in the usual Blue Phantom. The mechanism has been completely re- designed and carefully handcrafted using centuries old techniques. The photos really don’t do justice to how beautiful this apparatus truly is. The pleasing combination of teak and brass is very attractive. The decorative brass rod & cylinder are the finishing touch of elegance! Blue Phantom is 7” high with 3” diameter at the base.

Product ID: 085 Year of Release: ~ 2010

Retail Price: $165.00

Idea by: Howard Baltus

Photos courtesy of Andy Martin

Description of Effect

With permission from Mr. Howard Baltus, this is one of the most elegant and refined card boxes ever produced. The contrasting inlay on the box makes for an exquisite piece of magic apparatus!

Here’s just one of the simple routines that you can perform with this cleverly gimmicked card box:

The performer shows a beautiful wooden box and asks one of the audiences to assist with an unusual experiment involving free will. The performer hands a spectator a sealed prediction along with a deck of cards to examine and thoroughly shuffle. The performer then asks him to place ANY one of the cards in the box and close the lid. A mystic spell is cast, and the spectator holding the prediction is instructed to open it and read it aloud. Now, the spectator himself removes the card inside the box and unbelievably, the randomly selected card matches exactly a sealed prediction that has been in full view all along!

• The effect can be repeated with a different card each and every time! • Any deck of cards may be used and it is not gimmicked in any way! • The spectator has a perfectly free choice of any card, yet prediction is correct 100% of the time!

Please do not confuse this with a typical Locking Card Box as the working has been completely re-designed. Finished in the finest possible coating with hand polishing and sanding in between.

Mystery of the Chinese Dice

Product ID: 087 Year of Release: ~ 2010 Retail Price: $225.00

______

Photos courtesy of Andy Martin

Description of Effect

A beautiful stand with four wooden boxes is displayed. The performer then tells the story about a very old Chinese dice game and hands out four ancient “ivory” dice to four different spectators. Each spectator is asked to give the die a few rolls to make sure it’s a regular die and then place the dice inside the boxes. The performer hands anyone a sealed prediction and four spectators are each allowed to shake the die a few times. When completed, the spectator holding the prediction is instructed to open it and read it aloud. To everyone’s surprise, the number on top of each dice matches perfectly with the 4-digit prediction!

What’s nice about it is that the effect is self-working and happens in the spectator’s hands!

• At no time does the performer touch or even come near the boxes, dice or the stand. • Nothing is added or taken away. • The effect can be immediately repeated with different outcomes. • The effect can be performed completely surrounded. • There is no secret writing of any kind in the above routine.

Mystery of the Chinese Dice is made entirely of teak and completely hand-crafted with brass accents.

Number Divination

Product ID: 088

Year of Release: ~ 2010 Retail Price: $125.00

______

Photos courtesy of Andy Martin

Description of Effect

The performer shows a handsome wooden chest and inside are four beautiful black blocks, numbered 1, 2, 3 and 4. All the props are then examined by the spectator. While the performer turns his back, the spectator secretly arranges the blocks in the chest in any order and then closes the lid. The performer then turns around and writes the order of the blocks down on a pad without any hesitation. The chest is now opened to confirm that he is 100% correct! The effect can be immediately repeated and everything can, again, be completely examined. • The lid is absolutely opaque and there are no sliding parts in the lid or the chest anywhere. • No peeking of any kind and the chest remains in view the entire time. • No palming required and can be performed with the sleeves rolled up.

This is a beautiful piece of close-up magic, the method used for “reading” is devilishly clever and it is not the old compass method! The performer does not even have to hold the box in order to reveal the order of the numbered blocks inside. Each set is delicately hand-crafted from genuine teak and adorned with brass engraved numbered plates.

Year of Release: ~ 2010 Retail Price: $59.95

______

Photos courtesy of Andy Martin

Description of Effect

The performer displays a beautiful case including four brass plaques with randomly shown numbers engraved on each side. The performer also clearly demonstrates that with the simple displacement of just one of the plaques, the number formed could be changed dramatically, even by thousands. For example, 1239 could very well have been 9123, the difference of almost 8000. The spectator is then invited to rearrange the plaques in any order he wishes and to add up all of the five resulting four-digit numbers. The performer, without viewing the numbers which have been added, knows the total long before the spectator has commenced his addition!

• Over 300 different combinations of numbers possible. • No assistants or calculators are required. • Instantly repeat the effect with a different outcome.

Each set is completed with a custom wooden, velvet lined case and beautiful brass engraved numbered plaques. Each brass plaque measures approximately 6.5cms by 1.2cms

Mandarin Nest of Boxes

Product ID: 092 Year of Release: ~ 2010

Retail Price: $599.95

______

Photos courtesy of Magic Wagon Description of Effect

Unquestionably, our Mandarin Nest of Boxes is one of the most elegant and beautiful of all Nest of Boxes made today. Each of the three boxes is crafted from a different tropical exotic wood veneer, chosen specifically for the grain and color contrasts with each other. These boxes are absolutely stunning in appearance!

The performer borrows a ring from the audience and causes it to vanish. He then directs attention to a beautiful wooden box which is seen in full view since before the ring was even borrowed. The performer then lifts the box off the table to prove that there is nothing behind and no special table is used. He now shows that the box is locked securely and then unlocks it to find another box nested inside (The performer’s hands can be shown completely empty as the box is opened.) The performer then reaches in with an absolutely empty hand, removes the smaller box and shows the large box to be absolutely no holes or slots anywhere. Now, the spectator is asked to unlock the small box and open it himself to find yet another even smaller box. He, himself, with the performer nowhere near him, unlocks and opens this final box and inside he finds his own borrowed ring!

• The box is in full view before the ring vanishes! • The work is almost automatic and takes only an instant! • All the boxes, although ingeniously gaffed, can be shown to be absolutely no holes or slots anywhere!

This is the No Assistant Nest of Boxes that employs a unique and clever loading method. The photos really don’t do justice to these gorgeous boxes. It is an absolutely exquisite piece of magic apparatus.

Description of Effect

Special thanks to Mr. Martin Breese for the descriptions and the name of this effect.

The performer shows a small, hinged cabinet, hand-crafted from rare and solid teak. The cabinet is opened and a solid sheet of brass is placed inside. A piece of paper is placed over the sheet of brass and the lid is closed. Next, three miniature, antique-style brass swords are displayed. One by one the three swords are pushed right through the cabinet.

It is clear that the swords have penetrated both the paper and the sheet of brass. As soon as the swords are withdrawn, the paper is removed and the spectators can see right through the three holes made by the swords. When the cabinet is opened, the brass sheet is still in place yet completely undamaged. The miniature swords have magically penetrated the solid sheet of brass!

The brass swords have been delicately and individually hand-crafted by a highly skilled metal artisan. Each cabinet is hand-crafted of genuine teak and finally completed with a hand-applied oil and lacquer finish.

This is the very first item from our range to feature a unique two-tone teak finish.

______

Photos courtesy of Andy Martin

Description of Effect

Based on an idea of Jimmy Hearsum’s Framed; our design team has created a much smaller version to be used for regular Poker size card.

The mechanism has been carefully re-designed and handcrafted into the frame construction. It is a perfect example of our fine craftsmanship.

The uses for this piece of apparatus are limited only by your imagination. Here’s just one of the simple routines that you can perform with this cleverly-designed mechanical frame:

A spectator is invited to place a Joker inside the envelope and select a card from the deck - say the Jack of Diamonds. The envelope is then placed in full view, never covered in a small wooden frame. The envelope never leaves their sight, not even for an instant. The spectator now takes a marker and signs the envelope to assure that it cannot be switched. Despite this, the signed envelope is later removed and the spectator opens it himself to find the Joker has now transformed into the Jack of Diamonds!

This is unquestionably one of the most deceptive switching devices in magic!

Impossible Glass Penetration

______

Photos courtesy of Ted Tamburo

Description of Effect

The performer displays a solid sheet of glass and an empty wooden frame along with 4 mini brass swords. The glass is openly inserted into the frame through a slot in the top and the frame is clearly shown on both sides. The doors are now closed and a spectator is invited to try and push the swords through the holes but cannot do so, the glass is in fact solid.

The performer then says some magic words and, without hesitation, all 4 solid swords are pushed right through the glass! An impossible demonstration of solid through solid! Now, the swords are removed and the doors are immediately opened to show the glass still in place! The glass can then be pulled out of the frame and shown to be completely unharmed and solid.

• A sheet of glass and all of the swords are not gimmicked in any way! • Completely self-contained and it does not use the usual sliding method! • The special wooden frame allows this all to happen!

What really separates this version from all the others is the way that the effect is achieved. There really seems to be no explanation for how a solid sheet of glass can avoid all FOUR swords at once!

Each frame is made entirely of teak and completely hand-crafted with brass accents. The frame measures approximately 13cms wide x 14.5cms high x 9.5cms deep.

Special thanks to Mr. Tony Curtis for coming up with the name of this effect. A small wooden box is displayed and opened revealing a tray containing four different plaques each depicting the head of a wild animal. The performer then removes the tray and shows that the box is clearly empty. A velvet bag containing a prediction is then placed inside the box and the tray is replaced. I-Know Product ID: 111 Year of Release: ~ 2012 Retail Price: $425 ______

Description of Effect

Without question, I- Know is one of the finest solutions for the classic “which hand is the object in” ever devised.

The feature that elevates this above all other contemporary versions is in the fact that the effect can now be done from across the room AND using only borrowed items!

I-Know is an electronic device which does all the work for you under these fair conditions:

• It will allow you to use ordinary objects that can be borrowed from the audience (Coins, Rings, Keys, etc.) • You are absolutely nowhere near the spectator during the performance. • The effect can be immediately repeated with other borrowed objects. • With the hidden vibrating receiver, it enables you to perform the entire feat legitimately blindfolded.

Below are just a few routines possible with I-Know:

“Which Hand” with a borrowed ring & a borrowed bank note: While the performer’s back is turned, a spectator is invited to conceal a folded bank note in one hand and a ring in her other hand. Before the performer even turns around, he is able to reveal which hand has the bank note and which hand holds the ring!

“Premonition” with a copper coin & a silver coin: The performer hands anyone a sealed prediction and asks a spectator to freely select one of the coins and place it into one of his pockets. Once done, he is asked to take another coin and hide it in another pocket. The performer instantly reveals which coins are in which pockets, despite having his back turned throughout and being well away from the spectator! Not only that, the performer points out that he actually knew, way in advance, what the outcome of this experiment would be. The spectator is now asked to open the sealed prediction and read it aloud. It correctly states which of the coins he would place in which pockets!

“Remote Viewing” with a spectator’s key & three bottle caps: Four spectators are invited to take one item each and conceal it behind their back. The performer knows exactly who is holding the key from the other side of the room!

At its essence, I-Know will enable you to detect all metals, ferrous or non-ferrous. It is the first completely wireless metal detector that was designed specifically for the magic industry.

Here are a few examples of the objects that can be used with I-Know:

a spectator’s ring & a borrowed bank note a Swiss Army Knife & toothpick a borrowed coin & a candy a nut & bolt a spectator’s key & a penny a nail & a twig a borrowed lighter & a cigarette a borrowed thumb drive & its protective cap a spectator’s iPhone & his driver’s license a paper clip & a crumpled ball a beer bottle cap & a water bottle cap

There are still many other ordinary objects possible with I-Know. You’re limited only by your imagination!

Description of Effect

This effect was popularized by the magician Howard Schwarzman in the 80’s and it is still one of the best and most mystifying underwater close-up vanishes in magic.

The performer displays a clear cylinder, a cover, a lid and a die, along with a small vial of water. The die is dropped into the cylinder and it is filled with water, in full view of the audience. The cover is then placed over and the lid placed on top.

Now, the performer lifts the cover slightly allowing one last look at the die and calls attention to the fact that nothing can get near the die without getting wet. He then snaps his fingers and removes the lid and cover showing the die has vanished completely. It is G O N E! There’s nothing but clear water in the cylinder.

The spectator is then invited to pour the water back into the vial, confirming the die to be truly gone, and this is no optical illusion! The die has just mysteriously disappeared into nothingness and all the parts can be left for examination.

Majestic Hydro Die stands about 6” tall, including solid brass feet.

This is, without question, one of the finest and most exquisitely detailed sets ever produced. The photos do not do this beautiful apparatus justice.

Mysterious Ring Cabinet

Product ID: 114

Year of Release: ~ 2012 Retail Price: $325.00

______

Photos courtesy of Andy Martin

Description of Effect

This is a beautiful miniature illusion which works nothing like Kenard’s Mystery Box, Riedel’s Golden Disc of Amun- Re or Vienna Magic’s Ring Tower. The method has been completely re-designed and now works with any type and style of ring.

The performer shows a small cabinet on all sides. The top lid is removed and the front and back doors are also opened, so the spectator can see right through the cabinet. The performer then displays a mini magic wand, hands it to the spectator and asks them to put their ring onto the wand.

Now, the wand along with a spectator’s ring is placed through the slots on top of the cabinet and the lid replaced. Both doors are then closed and the wand is removed, allowing the ring to fall to the bottom of the cabinet. The wand is once again shown to be perfectly solid and inserted back into the cabinet. With a wave of the hand, both doors are again opened to show the spectator’s ring has magically risen from the floor of the cabinet and is now seen resting on the center of the wand!

The wand can be immediately removed and the ring is allowed to slide down the wand and fall off into the awaiting hand. It is a wonderful and mystifying effect.

Each cabinet has been delicately hand-crafted of genuine teak. The magic wand is made of solid brass and is plated with 24K gold.

This is the very first item from our range to feature a pure 24 karat gold-plating technique.

Description of Effect

A Supernatural Experiment with a Beautifully Designed Apparatus!

A spectator is invited to call out any one of the six spots on a die and as the performer walks away, anyone places the die on a small wooden base with any other number facing up. A clear glass is then inverted over the die and the Lucite cover is placed on top of all. This leaves the die in full view while isolating it from everything. The performer now turns around and advises the audience that they aren’t going to believe what they see in the next moment. With that, he shows both hands clearly empty and directs his mental energy to the die isolated in the sealed Lucite case. Suddenly, with nobody near it, the die visibly moves to the chosen number! It is a stunning and inexplicable effect.

• The spectator has an absolutely free choice of any of the 6 spots on a die! • The performer is absolutely nowhere near the case before, during and after the effect! • The experiment can be immediately repeated for the same audience! • It can be done surrounded and without the aid of any assistants!

The system is professionally constructed by a team of electronic engineers and the effect can be controlled from up to 75 feet away.

Each wooden base is completely hand-crafted the old fashioned way using natural aged teak logs with a lightly distressed antique finish.

This is also a perfect convincer for any séance or ghost hunting experience!

Description of Effect

An antique chest and five vintage gold ornate frames are displayed. While the performer’s back is turned, a spectator is invited to freely select her favorite painting and place it inside the chest. Majestic Die Penetration

Product ID: 118

Year of Release: ~ 2012 Retail Price: $250.00

______

Photos courtesy of Ted Tamburo

Description of Effect

From the creative mind of Mr. Simon Corneille comes a beautiful close-up penetration of a die through a solid blade that works more deceptive and convincing than the conventional approach.

A handsome tube along with a solid golden blade and a die are displayed. The lid is removed and the die is dropped into the tube. The blade is then inserted through the slits near the bottom of the tube, trapping the die inside. On the performer’s command, the die magically penetrates the blade and falls into the hand of the amazed spectator! Everything can then be handed out for examination.

Please do not confuse this with other models on the market. With this version, the die is clearly shown to be at the bottom of the tube before a solid sheet of blade is inserted through the slits and fully blocking the tube.

The entire outfit is absolutely striking in appearance and the photos really don’t do it justice.

Each set has been delicately and individually hand-crafted by the artist.

Rhine’s Dice

Product ID: 121 Year of Release: 2013 Retail Price: $225.00

______

Photos courtesy of Andy Martin

Description of Effect

For many years we have had requests to produce an effect where the performer can control the values rolled with two dice, at last we have found the proper techniques and right materials to make them! The performer invites a spectator to freely choose a number between 2 and 12, and begins to tell a story about an American Parapsychologist J. B. Rhine conducting a PK experiment to determine if a person could influence the outcome of falling dice. He then displays a clear dice tower with a small glass bowl and states that a dice tower such as this will eliminate any dice throwing technique to “will” certain numbers of dice to appear. The performer then cleanly shows the dice and rolls them down the tower to match their selection! Next, the performer offers to repeat the effect with another freely selected number but to make it even more impossible, the spectator is invited to blow the dice from the top of the tower and lo and behold, the outcome still perfectly matches their own selection! The dice tower is nicely made of clear Acrylic with solid brass fittings. It measures approximately 5” x 8.5” x 7.5” high. *** For Entertainment Purposes Only *** 127 Layout Copyright Syd Beckman – All Rights Reserved Photographs Copyright their respective owners as noted Descriptions Copyright Magic Wagon [email protected]

Pencil without a Middle

Product ID: 122

Year of Release: 2013 Retail Price: $350.00

______

Photos courtesy of Andy Martin

Description of Effect

A beautifully decorated cabinet along with a pencil are displayed (a borrowed pencil can be used). A pencil is placed on a stand and a cabinet is placed over, leaving both ends of the pencil in full view. The performer then pulls the center section of the cabinet straight up, opens the front door of the cabinet and the middle section of the pencil is completely GONE! He is then removed the back door and the audience can see right THROUGH the cabinet! The performer then waves his hand behind the pencil, shows both sides of the cabinet and the pencil’s middle is simply not there. It’s a great miniature illusion.

The method is very old but it is still one of the very best optical sciences ever created. And, due to the method used, the illusion is best viewed from at least 8 feet away.

Each cabinet is delicately hand-crafted from genuine teak and nicely adorned with brass hardware.

Due to the level of complexity and amount of work involved, this specific item is offered only in a limited quantity.

______

Photos courtesy of Ted Tamburo

Description of Effect

A gentleman from the audience is chosen randomly and invited to participate in an imaginary vacation. The performer then brings out an elegant wooden box and asks the spectator whether he chooses to travel alone, with his friends, with his girlfriend or with his family. Thirty (30) different destination cards, five engraved brass plaques and a sealed, stapled, prediction are then removed from the box and handed to the spectator for examination. The spectator is asked to shuffle the cards thoroughly and freely select three vacation destinations. The chosen cards and a prediction are then placed into the box. The spectator is then instructed to lock the box and keep the key safe until the end of the show.

Next, the spectator is asked to imagine that he is looking to purchase a few nice things during his trip. The performer then states that the brass plaques contain the details of 25 different items and that there are no two prices alike. Now, the spectator is instructed to choose an item from each of the brass plaques and then to total the costs of these randomly selected items. Once done, the performer talks about coincidence and how unusual it can be. He then asks the spectator to unlock the box and read the written prediction aloud. Needless to say, the prediction correctly reveals who the spectator will take on his vacation, the amount of money he’s planning to spend on his purchases and also all the names of his chosen destinations! It is a stunning and inexplicable effect.

• The box remains in full view at all times! • The effect can be repeated with different outcome! • No assistants required - it is an entirely one-man operation!

Each box has a beautiful and unique grain pattern of alternating light and dark stripes. The box measures approximately 8.5cms x 11.5cms x 8.5cms high. Handcrafted with a high-gloss Jewelry Box finish and lined in quality velvet fabric.

Mini Phantom

Product ID: 124 Year of Release: 2013 Retail Price: $250.00

______

Photos courtesy of Ted Tamburo

Description of Effect

This is essentially a miniature illusion; kind of like the classic Blue Phantom with Casino Chips, but even better!

A small pedestal, a brass tube with a lid and seven poker chips, six black and one red are displayed. The performer shows the tube empty and then spreads the chips on the table showing them to be solid and separate chips. He then places the stack of poker chips into the tube with the red one at the bottom and then places the lid on. He then snaps his fingers and lifts off the tube, and the red chip is now seen to be second from the bottom of the stack! This is repeated until the red chip mysteriously rises all the way to the top!

Please note that the casino chips can be shown to be all solid and separate immediately after each and every transposition!

This is a great effect with a clever method which of course is completely mechanical in operation.

Mini Phantom measures approximately 8.5cms square by 7.5cms high and is completely hand-crafted using natural aged teak wood and metal with an antique brass finish.

Diceolation

Year of Release: 2013 Retail Price: $245.00

______

Photos courtesy of Ted Tamburo

Description of Effect

A spectator is invited to call out any one of the six spots on a die. The choice is completely free and there is absolutely no force of any kind. The performer then directs attention to the antique style jewelry box that has been in full view the whole time and explains that prior to the show he made a prediction and isolated it away in this box. The box is then opened revealing a black velvet box which can be opened by the spectator himself. Surprisingly, the uppermost number of a die inside is a perfect match to the number chosen by the spectator! It is that direct.

Please note that the above routine can be performed under these fair conditions:

• The die was indeed placed inside the box before the spectator makes her selection - No loading of any kind! • Only ONE die is used - No switching of the die at any time! • Completely self-contained - No palming and nothing to hide! • The spectator has an absolutely free choice of any of the 6 spots on a die! • The effect can be immediately repeated with another free selection! • The die can be removed by the spectator and both boxes can be completely examined! • The box remains in full view at all times and the effect can be performed completely surrounded!

The black velvet box measures approximately 4cms square by 4cms high and the antique style wooden box measures approximately 14.5cms square by 8.5cms high and handcrafted with a high-gloss Jewelry Box finish and lined in quality velvet fabric.

Photos courtesy of Andy Martin

Description of Effect

An impossible demonstration of solid through solid!

A wooden tube is shown, along with two solid brass bolts and a heavy steel ball. The performer threads both bolts through the holes in the sides of the tube, and secures them with the nuts. The spectator is then allowed to drop a steel ball into the tube and it is heard to stop with a loud thud as it hits the bolts blocking its travel. He is then allowed to look inside the tube and verify for himself that the bolts are, in fact, preventing a steel ball from travelling right through the tube. On the performer’s command, a solid steel ball magically penetrates both solid brass bolts and falls completely out the bottom! The tube is immediately shown to let the spectator see that the path is still blocked by the crossed bolts! It is a straightforward and utterly impossible effect.

• Only one steel ball is used and it could be marked, if desired! • The brass nuts and bolts are not gimmicked in any way and the whole thing is assembled before the audience! • The effect is entirely self-contained with nothing other than the items seen is used! • The effect can be performed completely surrounded and it can be immediately repeated!

The tube stands approximately 15cms high and is completely hand-crafted from genuine teak and nicely decorated with brass inlay.

Ultimate Penetration Frame

Product ID: 127

Year of Release: 2013 Retail Price: $325.00

______

Photos courtesy of Ted Tamburo Description of Effect

Hundreds of hours have gone into the development of this mechanical marvel. What is really amazing and makes the trick seem impossible is that the frame is only 1 inch wider than the actual size of the glass and it also eliminates all the card clips that appear in previous versions of this classic Penetration Frame.

A wooden frame containing a sheet of Plexiglas is displayed on both sides. A small cover with three holes is then placed over the center of the glass. Without any hesitation, the performer plunges one brass rod through the hole in the center! Next, he pushes the other two rods through the remaining holes, apparently penetrating the solid sheet of Plexiglas. The performer now pulls all the brass rods out and immediately removes the cover to reveal that a sheet of Plexiglas is completely unharmed and still perfectly solid! There is no explanation for how the brass rods could possibly go through! It truly looks impossible.

Please note that the three holes represent the center of the glass and there is just no way the usual methods could possibly apply.

The frame measures approximately 12.5cms by 10cms and 1.5cms thick and completely hand-crafted from genuine teak with an antique natural distressed oil finish and finally adorned with 20 brass nails.

Each “Ultimate Penetration Frame” comes complete with a custom designed display stand.

Triple Dice Vision

Product ID: 128

Year of Release: 2013 Retail Price: $199.95

______

Photos courtesy of Andy Martin

Description of Effect

The performer displays three differently colored dice along with an elegant wooden box. While the performer looks away, a spectator randomly places the dice into the three numbered compartments, remembers the number of spots showing uppermost on each die and then closes the lid and locks the box. The performer now turns around, holds the box in full view and immediately announces the order of the colors including the top numbers of the dice while the box is still locked!

The performer could also ask the spectator to place just one of the dice into the box (The other two dice are then hidden from view). After the spectator has closed the lid and locked the box, the performer correctly announces which compartment has the die, the selected color and also the number on top of the die!

Triple Dice Vision measures approximately 6cms by 6cms and 7cms high and completely hand-crafted from genuine teak with brass fittings. The bottom of each compartment is beautifully lined with white acrylic sheet which is a perfect contrasting color to the dice being used. Each compartment is also individually hand-stamped with a number (1-2-3) by a skilled craftsman.

Psychic Chest

Product ID: 129

Year of Release: 2013 Retail Price: $475.00

______

Photos courtesy of Andy Martin Description of Effect

This is a great utility device that can be used for many effects. Here’s one of the routines possible:

A beautiful wooden chest is displayed and the lid is removed to show the inside. While the performer’s back is turned, the spectator is invited to place a golden medallion into any of the recessed area inside the base of the chest and then told to replace the lid. The performer, then without turning around, immediately reveals the correct location of the medallion, and also which side is facing up!

Second Routine: The performer now introduces three plastic vials which the spectator can freely examine to note that they are identical in every way. He then turns his back and asks the spectator to mix the vials thoroughly and place them on the base of the chest without looking at the contents. The performer then, still with his back turned, concentrates and immediately determines which vial contains a $1 bill, a $20 bill and a $100 bill (Any other ’valuable’ items that will fit in the vials can also be used). One by one, the spectator is instructed to open the vials to confirm that the performer correctly identifies, with unerring accuracy, the contents of each of the vials without touching or even looking at the vials! The effect can be immediately repeated if desired.

The nice thing about it is that the performer is absolutely nowhere near the chest during the performance. The information is sensed by the electronics in the chest and transmitted to the performer in up to 20 feet distance. The receiver can also give the performer both visual and vibrating signal (Vibration Mode for one object and LED Mode for one or more objects).

The photos really don’t do this beautiful apparatus justice. This is the first time we have used ebony veneer for our effect. The wood is imported from Italy and it displays a rare depth and unique grain pattern that makes it so prized among collectors. It’s then completely handcrafted with a high-gloss jewelry box finish and lined in quality velvet fabric. The golden medallion with Sun & Moon motifs has also been delicately handcrafted and individually made.

The chest measures approximately 18.5cms wide, 8cms deep and 6cms high (excluding brass fittings).

Dice of Poseidon

Product ID: 130

Year of Release: 2014 Retail Price: $139.95

______

Photos courtesy of Andy Martin Description of Effect

A beautiful stand which has a see-through bottom along with a clear glass cylinder and a die are displayed. The performer then places a sealed prediction on the table and asks the spectator to give the die a few rolls to make sure it is a regular die and place the die into the cylinder. The performer then tells the story of Poseidon and slowly stirs a glass of water with mini brass Trident. Now, he instructs the spectator to pour the water into the cylinder. When completed, the spectator is asked to open the prediction and read it aloud. To everyone’s surprise, the number on top of the die matches perfectly with the prediction! Everything can then be handed out for examination.

What’s nice about it is that the effect is entirely self-working and happens in the spectator’s hands! The performer is absolutely nowhere near the stand or even the die during the performance.

• The effect can be performed with any numbers from 1-6. • The effect can be performed completely surrounded. • The effect is entirely self-contained - No palming or sleights of any kind.

Please do not confuse “Dice of Poseidon” with any other gimmicked dice we have previously produced. Each set has been painstakingly hand-crafted by a skilled craftsman using the total of three different manufacturing processes for gaffing each die which are very unique and really complicated to produce.

Ghost Board

Product ID: 131

Year of Release: 2014 Retail Price: $225.00

______

Photos courtesy of Andy Martin Description of Effect

This effect was inspired by Richard Himber’s Slate in the nineteen fifties. The mechanism, however, has been carefully re-designed and completely handcrafted into the frame construction using centuries old techniques. This is unquestionably one of the most direct mental effects in magic!

The performer explains that before the show, he has written a prediction on a small whiteboard and covered it with a brass plate as seen on the table. He then asks a spectator to name any object, for example any person’s name, a number between 1 and 1,000 or any city in the world. The choice is totally free. There are no forces of any kind. The performer then writes the chosen word with the date of the performance on the back side of the whiteboard as a record for the audience. With absolutely no hesitation, the performer removes the brass plate in full view, showing that the prediction he previously wrote before the show started exactly matches the spectator’s selection!

The frame measures approximately 8.5cm by 11cm and 1 cm thick and completely hand-crafted from genuine teak with a heavily distressed antique finish so that the props look as if it’s been stored for decades in an old curio shop.

Each “Ghost Board” comes complete with a custom designed display stand.

Emperor Ring Cabinet

Product ID: 133

Year of Release: 2014 Retail Price: $285.00

______

Photos Courtesy of Ted Tamburo (1st and 2nd) and Andy Martin (3rd) Description of Effect

This is a magical penetration of a solid brass ring onto a solid brass rod which runs through a nicely decorated wooden cabinet.

The performer displays a small cabinet and removes the front cover showing it to be completely empty. He then replaces the cover and inserts the brass rod through the slots on the sides of the cabinet. Both tips of the rod remain in full view. Now, the ring is dropped into the cabinet. It is heard to strike the rod, but not to strike the floor of the cabinet! When the cover is removed, the ring is seen hanging on the rod! The only way to remove the ring is to, in fact, remove the rod. Everything can then be handed out for examination. It is a stunning and inexplicable effect!

Each cabinet is completely hand-crafted from natural aged teak wood and is adorned with a slightly tarnished brass plaque with an engraved Bengal Tiger motif; even the deeply engraved designs and antique finish on the brass ring are truly remarkable.

The cabinet measures approximately 8cms square by 11.5cms high.

Photos courtesy of Andy Martin Description of Effect A small wooden box is displayed and opened revealing a $100 bill. The performer then removes the bill, places a folded piece of paper into the box and closes the lid. The performer explains that in a moment, the spectator is going to make a random selection and if the outcome does not match the prediction in the box, they may keep the $100 bill.

Now, the spectator is invited to choose one of the three objects on the table. This is a 100% free choice and they can change their minds as many times as they wish. The performer then points to the wooden box that has been resting on the table all along and removes his prediction. After unfolding the paper, the spectator is amazed to find that that the prediction is 100% correct!

 The prediction was indeed placed inside the box BEFORE the spectator makes their selection!  The spectator has a completely free choice and absolutely no force or elimination of any kind is used!  The method is completely mechanical in operation!

Each box is completely hand-crafted from natural aged teak wood and it is the very first item from our line of teak products to feature a beautiful inlay of contrasting wood.

The box measures approximately 11cms wide by 3.5cms tall and 8.5cms deep.

Description of Effect

Special thanks to Mr. Danny Selnick for suggesting the ideas & consultations.

Have you ever discovered a mysterious object in your basement or attic?

The performer displays a small wooden casket and explains its backstories. He then asks an audience member to open the casket and to take out its contents. Inside are an antique bracelet, a bear doll, a “pearl” ponytail holder, a Chinese tea cup, a crumpled paper ball and a small color tile. The performer also states that he will attempt to conduct a magical experiment to demonstrate his mystical connection to these objects. He then turns his back and asks an audience member to place one of these objects back inside and lock the casket. The performer then turns around, holds the casket in full view and immediately names the chosen object while the casket is still locked!

The mechanism was brilliantly designed and carefully constructed by a master craftsman.

Each casket is built from the total of 85 wooden parts and requires over 40 hours to build.

The casket measures approximately 12.5cms wide by 10cms tall and 9cms deep and has been painstakingly handcrafted from natural aged teak wood with beautiful inlay work and a lightly distressed oil finish.

The woodwork that went into these is absolutely exquisite.

Mini Pool Balls Prediction

Product ID: 137 Year of Release: 2014 Retail Price: $450.00

Idea by: Tony Curtis

______

Photos courtesy of Ted Tamburo (1st and 2nd) and Magic Wagon (3rd). Editor’s Note: The sphere’s pictured in the first two pictures are from a presentation idea by Simon Corneille; The original effect comes with pool balls as pictured on the far right.

Description of Effect

Special thanks to Mr. Tony Curtis for suggesting the ideas & consultations.

A beautiful jewelry box with four mini pool balls is displayed. The performer then turns his back and asks a spectator to place each of the pool balls into a different pocket. When this is done, the performer immediately reveals which pool balls are in which pocket without turning around or asking a single question!

This may be repeated again and again and the performer, of course, needs never see nor touch the box to make the divination.

Second Routine: While the performer’s back is turned, four spectators are each allowed to remove one pool ball and hide it. Before the performer even turns around, he correctly tells each spectator which ball they hold! The nice thing about it is that the performer is absolutely nowhere near the box during the performance. The information is sensed by the electronics inside the box and transmitted to the performer in up to 25 feet distance.

The box measures approximately 20cms wide, 6.5cms high and 8cms deep and completely hand-crafted from quality recomposed wood veneer with a high-gloss Jewelry Box finish and lined in quality velvet fabric.

The balls are real 1.5-inch pool balls and come complete with a custom display stand. Please note that the color of the pool balls you receive may vary from the pictures shown.

The Magic Gemstone and Hieroglyphic Spells

Product ID: 138 Year of Release: 2014 Retail Price: $215.00

______

Photos courtesy of Magic Wagon Description of Effect

A small treasure chest is displayed and opened revealing a bag containing a solid sheet of brass with Hieroglyphic signs and a mysterious gemstone. The performer then places the brass sheet into the chest and invites a spectator to try and push the brass rods through each and every hole on the lid but cannot do so; the brass sheet is in fact solid.

The performer then waves a mysterious gemstone over the chest, says the magic words and, without hesitation, five solid brass rods are pushed right through the holes in the lid and out through the bottom of the chest! The chest is shown all around and there is just no way any of the brass rods can possibly miss the brass sheet. The brass rods are then withdrawn and the lid immediately reopened showing the brass sheet is completely unharmed. FIVE solid brass rods have magically penetrated the solid sheet of brass!

It’s an amazing effect and, of course, completely mechanical in operation!

The chest measures approximately 8cms wide by 6cms tall and 5.5cms deep and is completely hand-crafted of genuine teak with a lightly distressed oil finish. The brass plaque is beautifully engraved with Hieroglyphic signs.

Description of Effect

An elegant wooden chest is displayed and inside are four differently colored chips that represent the “Four Elements” - Fire, Water, Earth and Air. While the performer’s back is turned, the spectator secretly arranges the Four Elements in any order he wishes, and then closes the lid and locks the chest. The performer then turns around, holds the chest in full view and immediately announces the order of the Four Elements inside! The chest is now opened to confirm that he is correct and all may be completely examined and the effect may be immediately repeated if desired.

Second Routine:

While the performer’s back is turned, a spectator is asked to place one of the Four Elements into the chest and locks the lid closed. The performer then turns around and correctly announces the location of the chip plus its symbol as well!

This is a beautiful piece of magic and the effect is entirely self-contained and mechanically ingenious.

The chest measures approximately 17cms wide by 4cms tall and 7.5cms deep and delicately hand-crafted of genuine teak with both lacquer and hand-rubbed oil finish. Each chest is adorned with beautiful brass engraved plates and each compartment is individually hand-stamped with a number (1-2-3-4) by a skilled craftsman. The “Four Elements” chips are also beautifully made with metallic gold graphics etched into the top.

A unique two-tone finish for teak magic apparatus!

Majestic Homing Die

Product ID: 140 Year of Release: 2014 Retail Price: $ 199.95

______

Photos Courtesy of Ted Tamburo Description of Effect

A beautiful golden casket is seen hanging in full view. The lid is removed showing three “ivory” dice inside. One of the dice is openly removed and placed into a small golden chest. The performer places the chest on the opposite side of the table and hangs the casket back on the stand, isolating it completely. The performer then pretends to take the die from the small chest and toss it towards the casket. To everyone’s great surprise, the die has actually vanished from the small chest only to be found back in the casket!

The casket measures approximately 6cms wide x 3cms high x 3cms deep and the small chest is 3cms cubed without the lid. The base of the stand is 4.5” in diameter and the stand itself stands about 8.5” high with a nice zinc plating, making an attractive and impressive display.

This is a beautiful piece of magic apparatus. The entire outfit is absolutely striking in appearance and the photos really don’t do it justice.

Each set has been delicately and individually hand-crafted by our own artist.

Absconding Lycan

Product ID: 141 Number Produced: 75 Year of Release: 2014 Retail Price: $ 199.95

______

Photos Courtesy of Magic Wagon Description of Effect

Based on an original idea from Mr. Edward Massey’s Ribbon .

The performer displays a frame with a figure of a Lycan which has holes running across its body along with a sheet of Plexiglas with holes running across its width. The performer then places the sheet of Plexiglas behind the Lycan and a brass chain is threaded back and forth through all the holes, locking the Lycan to the sheet of Plexiglas. Despite the impossibility of the situation, the sheet of Plexiglas is visibly lifted straight up, allowing the Lycan to make its escape from its chained imprisonment!

The Absconding Lycan stands approximately 14cms tall and 13.5cms wide and captures perfectly the ferocity and look of these creatures.

The photo really doesn’t do justice to this gorgeous prop. This is, without question, one of the finest and most exquisitely detailed sets ever produced.

Monarch Prediction Chest

Product ID: 142 Number Produced: Unknown Year of Release: 2014 Retail Price: $375.00

______

Photos Courtesy of Magic Wagon Description of Effect

An elegant wooden chest, which the performer states contains a prediction, is seen in full view and secured with a padlock. A volunteer is freely chosen and then invited to randomly throw the dart at the dart board and record whatever score that their dart has landed on. The chest is then handed to a spectator, along with a key. He opens the chest himself, and inside he finds a folded sheet of paper. The paper describes how the contents of this chest were locked one week ago and instructs the spectator to open the compartment in the bottom of the chest. He then opens it and inside is found a small scroll of paper. He, himself, removes it, unrolls it and reads what is written. Needless to say, the prediction in the chest matches the score the spectator hits on the board with the dart! Many versions of this effect have been on the market over the years, but to the best of our knowledge, the “Monarch” system is the first and only version that has all of the following features:

● It is an entirely one-man prediction system; no assistants on or off stage are necessary in any way! ● The chest is completely self-contained; no palming or extra equipment is required! ● The spectator himself can open the chest and remove the prediction! ● The method is truly a mechanical marvel; no electronics and no pre-show! ● The chest remains in full view at all times and the effect can be performed at any time during a show! ● There is absolutely no force of any kind and the effect can be immediately repeated, if desired! ● The chest measures approximately 15cms wide by 9cms tall and 11cms deep.

Each chest is completely handcrafted from natural aged teak wood and takes over 100 hours to build. The engineering behind this is cleverly designed so many hours of workmanship have gone into making one of these due to the mechanism involved. 146 Layout Copyright Syd Beckman – All Rights Reserved Photographs Copyright their respective owners as noted Descriptions Copyright Magic Wagon [email protected]

The Golden Dragon

Product ID: 146 Number Produced: 75 Year of Release: 2015 Retail Price: $ 269.95

______

Photos Courtesy of Magic Wagon Description of Effect

Based on a classic Jack Hughes effect, we are pleased to bring you The Golden Dragon.

A beautiful dragon statue along with a mini Bicycle deck of cards is displayed. Three cards are freely chosen and returned to the deck which is shuffled and placed into the lower houlette that the dragon holds. One at a time, the cards are removed from the lower houlette and passed before the dragon’s eye and then dropped into the upper houlette. As this is done, the spectator can call, “stop” anytime he wishes. When he does, any card being held in front of the dragon’s eye is turned around and it is one of the selected cards! This is repeated two more times and the cards stopped at are always the very same cards selected by the spectator!

The nice thing about this is that the card being held in the hand is the chosen card, not the one just dropped into the houlette or the next one removed.

This intricately carved and exquisitely detailed Dragon statue stands approximately 13 inch tall. It is an imposing piece of magic apparatus and could easily be the centerpiece of any magic collection.

The photos do not do justice to this absolutely gorgeous apparatus! This is, without question, one of the finest and most exquisitely detailed items we have ever produced.

The Golden Dragon comes complete with miniature Bicycle deck of cards.

Special thanks to Mr. Tony Curtis for coming up with the name for this effect.

Z Frame

Product ID: 147 Number Produced: 75 Year of Release: 2015 Retail Price: $ 275.00

Idea by: Simon Corneille

______

Photos Courtesy of Ted Tamburo Description of Effect

From the inventive genius of Mr. Simon Corneille comes a great mini illusion and a visual fooler!

A beautiful “photo frame” containing a playing card is displayed. The performer then removes the back panel, takes out the card in full view and asks a spectator to either sign or tear off a corner of the card. As this is done, the spectator can see right thru the empty wooden frame. Now, the performer openly inserts the card back into the frame, replaces the back panel and with absolutely no hesitation, pulls the middle section out to the side, visibly cutting the card into thirds! The frame is then shown on both sides proving that the card is truly “zig-zagged”! The middle section is then pushed back and the card is removed and handed to the spectator as a souvenir.

• The card can be signed and the signature remains in full view at all the time! • There are no angle restrictions and the photo frame can be shown on both sides when the magic happens! • The mechanism was cleverly designed that the effect can be immediately repeated and the see-through aspect made the effect seems absolutely impossible!

The Z Frame measures approximately 15cms wide by 17.5cms tall and 1cms deep and has been beautifully handcrafted from natural aged teak wood with beautiful inlay work and a lightly distressed oil finish. The gimmick inside the frame is completely handcrafted of brass and was specifically made for this effect. The window has also been painstakingly hand-sanded to enhance the illusion and make it appear slightly “aged”.

Due to the method used, this effect is best performed a few feet away from the audience.

Special thanks to Mr. John M. Talbot for coming up with the name for this effect.

Simon Corneille was kind enough to share some “behind the scene’s” photos of the Z-Frame. The first picture is of a prototype. In this picture you will see that there is only one inlay stripe on the frame. I think you will agree that the two inlay stripes on the production model made a marked difference.

The second photograph reflects the inside of the frame. For those of you who own this wonderful effect, you will likely understand a bit better “how” the magic happens.

The Griffin’s Caddy

Product ID: 148 Number Produced: 75 Year of Release: 2015 Retail Price: $ 229.95

______

Photos Courtesy of Magic Wagon Description of Effect

A beautiful wooden box is shown on all sides. The performer then opens the doors showing the box to be completely empty. The doors are then closed and immediately a “gold” Griffin statue is removed from the top of the box! The performer now opens the doors showing the box to be unmistakably empty again and then produces the second “silver” Griffin statue! The kicker ending is that the box is immediately handed out for complete examination!

Each box has a beautiful and unique grain pattern of alternating light and dark stripes. It’s then completely handcrafted with a high-gloss Jewelry Box finish and lined in quality velvet fabric. The Griffin statues have also been delicately and individually hand-crafted by our own artist.

The photos really don’t do this gorgeous apparatus justice!

Rhine’s Dice II

Product ID: 149 Number Produced: Unknown

Year of Release: 2015 Retail Price: $ 199.95

______

Photos Courtesy of Magic Wagon Description of Effect

Since the release of our Rhine’s Dice in 2013, we have had many requests to produce a version which could be disassembled for easy, space-saving transportation. Now, we have found a way to make this possible!

Is it true that a person can control the values rolled with two dice?

The performer invites a spectator to freely choose a number between 2 and 12, and begins to tell a story about an American Parapsychologist J. B. Rhine conducting a PK experiment to determine if a person could influence the outcome of falling dice. He then displays a clear dice tower with a small glass container and states that a dice tower such as this will eliminate any dice throwing technique to “will” certain numbers of dice to appear. The performer then cleanly shows the dice, rolls them down the tower and lo and behold, the outcome perfectly matches the spectator’s selection!

The dice tower remains in full view at all times and the effect can be immediately repeated with another free selection!

The dice tower measures approximately 2.5” x 1.5” x 8.5” high and is nicely made of clear Acrylic with an array of 15 internal pegs to ensure that your dice rolls are truly random.

Please note that this item is packaged in component form and therefore assembly is required.

The Pagoda Mystery

Product ID: 150 Number Produced: Unknown Year of Release: 2015 Retail Price: $ 269.95

______

Photos Courtesy of Andy Martin Description of Effect

Based on an original idea from Mr. Jack Hughes’s Dove Through Glass, we are pleased to bring you The Pagoda Mystery.

A beautiful wooden frame containing a sheet of Plexiglas is displayed on both sides. The performer then taps on the sheet of Plexiglas to prove it is solid. He then places two small panels with star traps over the center of the glass and places the whole unit onto a small stand. Without any hesitation, the performer immediately pushes the wooden rod right through the star traps, apparently penetrating the solid sheet of Plexiglas! After the penetration, the panels are removed to reveal that the sheet of Plexiglas is completely unharmed and still perfectly solid! It is a truly baffling penetration effect.

Each set is completely hand-crafted from natural aged teak wood and measures approximately 6” wide and 8” tall.

The intricate detailed woodwork on this piece is truly outstanding. It takes approximately 3-4 days to manufacture just one of these exquisite pieces from start to finish. The photos don’t do justice to this gorgeous wooden prop.

Tutan’s Tomb

Product ID: 151 Number Produced: 75 Year of Release: 2015 Retail Price: $ 269.95

Idea by: Simon Corneille ______

Photos Courtesy of Ted Tamburo Description of Effect

It’s been over two years in the making since July 2013, and special thanks to Mr. Simon Corneille for suggesting the idea & consultations.

This is a mechanical marvel and one of the very few props in mentalism that fits all the following criteria (1) The performer touches nothing to make the divination, (2) It’s completely self-contained. (3) No electronics or gimmicks involved!

An ornate chest from the “Ancient Egyptian Collection” and three golden blocks with Egyptian symbols (Pharaoh, Ankh and Nefertiti) are displayed. While the performer’s back is turned, a spectator is invited to remove one of the blocks, place it behind their back and close the lid. The performer then turns around and immediately names the chosen symbol with unerring accuracy!

• The effect can be immediately repeated and the performer, of course, never needs to touch the chest to make the divination! • The effect is entirely self-contained; there are no outside gimmicks of any kind used! • The effect is all done in full view - The box never leaves the view of the spectator, not even for an instant!

The mechanical method is very clever and the intricate details of the mechanism are simply stunning.

The chest measures approximately 17cms wide, 7.5cms high and 6cms deep and has been completely handcrafted from natural aged teak wood with a lightly distressed oil finish. The chest also featured a beautiful segmented work and finally adorned with 25 brass nails.

Each golden block is absolutely striking in appearance and has been delicately and individually hand-crafted by our own artist.

Special thanks to Mr. Tony Curtis for coming up with the name for this effect.

Ultimate Block Penetration

Product ID: 152 Number Produced: 75 Year of Release: 2015 Retail Price: $ 215.00

______

Photos Courtesy of Magic Wagon Description of Effect

A beautiful wooden tube, a wooden “sword”, along with a bright red block with a hole running through its center are displayed. The performer then openly inserts the sword through the holes in the sides of the tube, blocking its passage. The block is then dropped into the tube where it is heard to stop as it hits the sword. Now, the performer merely taps the tube against the palm of his hand and to the spectator’s surprise, the block magically penetrates the sword and ends up visibly in the window at the front of the tube! The sword is then removed and shown to be perfectly solid!

The performer now offers to repeat the trick. However, after the tube is tapped, the block does not fall out! The performer says he doesn’t know what went wrong as he can’t get this to work. So, he opens the tube at the center and it is seen that the block is now impaled onto the sword! Everything can then be handed out for complete examination, if desired. A great Block Penetration with a surprise finish!

Second Routine: “The performer now offers to repeat the trick. This time he taps the tube very lightly against the palm of his hand for a few times and the audience can see that the block does not fall out! So, he opens the tube at the center and it is seen that the block is now impaled onto the sword! Everything can then be handed out for complete examination, if desired. A great Block Penetration with a surprise finish!”

We are confident that the version of this penetration effect has never been available before. Please don’t confuse this with other version’s that can’t be examined at the end. This is one of the prettiest and most unique block penetrations ever created!

The tube stands approximately 17.5cms tall and is completely hand-crafted from genuine teak. The block is approximately 2.7cms square.

Special thanks to Mr. Tony Curtis for coming up with the name for this effect.

The Horus Escape

Product ID: 153 Number Produced: 75 Year of Release: 2015 Retail Price: $ 250.00

______

Photos Courtesy of Magic Wagon Description of Effect

The performer displays a beautiful cabinet with no top, front or back and a small ornate block. The block has a hole running through it that corresponds to the holes in the sides of the cabinet. He then displays a golden wand and tells the story of Horus, the Egyptian Falcon God. Now, the block is openly placed into the cabinet where it remains in full view. The wand is then inserted through the holes in the cabinet, impaling the block and locking it in place. Despite the fairness of everything so far, the performer slowly pulls the block right through the wand and completely free of the cabinet with absolutely no cover! The wand, which is clearly seen through the cabinet, is then removed and shown to be perfectly solid. It’s an incredible visual illusion.

This is, unquestionably, one of the prettiest and most visual versions of the classic “Block Release” effect ever created!

The Horus Escape stands approximately 13cms tall and has been delicately and individually hand-crafted with an antique finish by our own exclusive artist.

The entire outfit is extremely detailed, and simply stunning in appearance. The photos do not do justice to this absolutely gorgeous apparatus!

Mystic Mind Spheres

Product ID: 154 Number Produced: Unknown Year of Release: 2016 Retail Price: $ 259.95

______

Photos Courtesy of Magic Wagon Description of Effect

Based on an original idea from Mr. Jack Hughes’s Penetra-Spheres.

A beautiful tray is shown, along with a small wooden cup, a shot glass, and four different colored “balls” (crystal like beads). The wooden cup is then placed in the center of the tray and the shot glass is inverted over the top, making it impossible for anything to enter the cup without first removing the glass. One of the colored balls is freely selected and then they are all now placed in recesses around the shot glass. A cloth is then spread over the tray, covering the shot glass and the colored balls. The spectator is then asked to concentrate on the colored ball they selected and to the spectator’s surprise, when the performer removes the cloth, the chosen ball is now INSIDE the wooden cup which has remained covered by the inverted shot glass!

• The effect can be immediately repeated and a different colored ball chosen! • There is absolutely no force or elimination of any kind! • Completely mechanical, self-contained and can be performed surrounded!

The nice thing about the octagon-shaped tray is that each of the colored balls can seemingly be placed back in the same positions even after the performer has asked for the spectators chosen color! This is an updated improvement on the original design especially for when the effect is repeated with a different colored ball selected.

The tray measures approximately 17.5cms across and stands about 4.5cms high, including solid brass feet and has been completely handcrafted from natural aged teak wood with a lightly distressed oil finish.

Mystic Mind Spheres comes complete with the special tray, wooden cup, shot glass, colored balls and black & gold cloth. The “balls” supplied are 18mm in diameter but can be replaced with other balls of the same size if you wish.

Note: Due to the mechanical mechanism of this effect, there may be some slight sounds heard during the performance.

Special thanks to Mr. Tony Curtis for coming up with the name for this effect. 158 Layout Copyright Syd Beckman – All Rights Reserved Photographs Copyright their respective owners as noted Descriptions Copyright Magic Wagon [email protected]

Ultimate Card Dagger

Product ID: 155 Number Produced: 75 Year of Release: 2016 Retail Price: $ 245

Idea by: Rhett Bryson ______

Photos Courtesy of Magic Wagon Description of Effect

Based on an original idea from Mr. Edward Massey’s Cardagger, Magic Wagon is pleased to bring you the “Ultimate Card Dagger”.

A card is selected from a deck, remembered and returned. The deck is shuffled. The performer brings out an attractive wooden dagger and announces that he will spring all of the cards into the air and stab the selected card out of the cascading cards. This happens as described and at the end, the selected card is seen impaled on the blade of the dagger.

Please note that this is a very cool and clever mechanical piece and not to be confused with a normal Card Sword. With this version, the card is really impaled on the blade.

So, what makes this different from the original Massey’s Cardagger? (1) The mechanics on this marvelous prop have been brilliantly redesigned and (2) the dagger itself now has the decorative hilt. It is both esthetically beautiful and mechanically remarkable!

The dagger is approximately 13.5 inches in length and is completely hand-crafted from genuine teak.

Special thanks to Mr. Rhett Bryson for suggesting the ideas & consultations.

Editor’s note. I asked Rhett if he would be kind enough to share some “inside” information as to his working with Magic Wagon for the creation of this effect. Here are some of his insights:

I have been researching Edward Massey for over 40 years. I admire his imagination, clever mechanisms and unusual materials and engineering. The card dagger he developed and sold has been one of my favorites and was one of his tricks that I made a performance piece – actually using it in my shows.

I own several original Massey’s – most with the plastic blade, but one with an aluminum blade (a far superior one.) I commissioned Tabman Crabbe to make one years ago but it does not replace the Massey model in my book.

I decided to take a chance and approach Magic Wagon to see IF they would be interested in making their own version – I was sure they could produce something that was a “worker.” I sent them an email with about 10 photographs of one of my daggers. I explained the effect, the construction and the special release/propulsion device (which, as it turns out, is a common safety pin!) I offered, if they wanted to make it, to send them an actual dagger to look at as they developed their take on it. I do remember this was just before the FISM that they attended and they asked me to delay sending the Massey prototype until after they returned.

After they received the dagger, there were at least 20 email exchanges between us. They asked questions and offered photos of the emerging design. Early on, I realized that they were not using a metal blade (something I considered essential – and I had told them so.) They claimed that they had no access to metalworkers [and unfortunately had to use a] wooden blade.

There was also a good deal of discussion of the hilt shape, design and size.… The cocking and release of the rubber band to propel the card was nicely implemented….

When completed to their satisfaction, they sent me one of the daggers so that I could assist them in the writing of the English instructions. I spent some time crafting what I thought were useful and clear instructions – testing them out on several local magicians who had never handled any sort of card dagger. Photos Courtesy of Magic Wagon Description of Effect

Based on a rare and expensive gaffed device, we are pleased to bring you our version of this specially designed “Card Dealing Shoe”.

This dealing shoe allows the operator to identify the next card to come out of the shoe. The advantage of this version is that it doesn’t have any electronics like the camera shoe, so there are no batteries to be charged. Plus, due to the “new” design, our dealing shoe can now be completely examined at the end and no one would discover that the shoe is gaffed!

This poker 2-deck dealing shoe measures approximately 10cms wide, 8.5cms high and 22cms deep and is completely hand-crafted from genuine teak. The shoe also has a heavy solid brass roller with a fluid movement, allowing easy dealing of your cards.

Please note that our gaffed dealing shoe is being sold for exhibition, entertainment and demonstration purposes only. The instructions will only teach you how to operate the device and no actual routine is provided.

Finally: You will also need two normal decks of cards which are not supplied.

Special thanks to Mr. Tony Curtis for coming up with the name for this effect.

Retail Price: $ 269.95

______

Photos Courtesy of Andy Martin and Magic Wagon Description of Effect

A beautiful wooden cabinet with five mini drawers is displayed. The performer then arranges five wooden plinths, each with a different ESP symbol, into slots on the cabinet and in any order that the spectator wishes. This is a 100% free choice and the spectator can change their mind as many times as they wish. After they have made their final decision, the predictions are openly tipped out of the drawers, and found to be in the exact same order as the spectator’s choice!

The cabinet measures approximately 26cms wide by 5cms tall and 5.5cms deep. Each wooden plinth measures approximately 4.5cms high by 3.5cms wide and 0.7cms thick and is adorned with beautiful brass plaque with an engraved ESP symbol. The entire unit has been painstakingly handcrafted from genuine teak.

Please do not judge the props by its simple and innocent looking design; due to the very detailed intricacies of the workings, each unit was built from over 90 wooden parts!

The method is absolutely ingenious and it is completely mechanical in operation!

Special thanks to Mr. Tony Curtis for coming up with the name for this effect.

Tiger and Dragon Mystery

Product ID: 158 Number Produced: ~75 Year of Release: 2016

Retail Price: $250.00

______

Photos Courtesy of Magic Wagon Description of Effect

A beautiful box along with a round ornate block and a pendulum are displayed. One side of the block shows an image of a tiger. The obverse depicts a dragon. The box also consists of four different compartment’s depicting images of different habitats on the inside. While the performer’s back is turned, the spectator is invited to place the block into any one of four recessed areas inside the box and told to replace the lid. The performer then turns around, swings the pendulum over the box and correctly announces whether the tiger or the dragon lives in a high mountain, a big waterfall, a deep forest or a dark cave!

The effect can be immediately repeated and everything can be completely examined before, during and after the effect! The detection method is mechanically clever and we are not aware of the principle being used before with any other effects in the magic fraternity!

The box measures approximately 12cms wide, 12cms deep and 5cms high (excluding the tiger & dragon figures on the lid). The block measures approximately 4.3cms in diameter with 2.7cms in height.

The entire outfit has been delicately handcrafted and individually made by an exceptionally skilled artisan working exclusively for Magic Wagon. The amount of detail in each set is absolutely incredible. The photos do not do justice to this very detailed and elaborate piece of magic apparatus!

Ultimate Coincidence

Product ID: 159 Number Produced: 75 Year of Release: 2016

Retail Price: $ 269.95

______

Photos Courtesy of Magic Wagon Description of Effect

This has to be one of the strongest mentalism effects we have ever produced!

The performer shows what will be the prediction outcome and places it inside an envelope. The envelope is then placed on a small wooden stand where it remains in full view. Two spectators are now chosen to participate in an experiment of pairing choice and chance events with playing cards. The performer now asks the first spectator to name the value of any card. There is absolutely no force of any kind, the spectator can really name any number/face card in the deck, even the Joker! Another spectator then picks a card (face down) to get any random suit. Let’s say, for example, the first spectator names the number “8” and the second spectator selects “Spades.” The performer now shows both hands completely empty, picks up the stand, removes the envelope and takes out the prediction. To everyone’s surprise, the prediction inside the envelope IS the Eight of Spades! It is a stunning and inexplicable effect.

This is an ingenious and marvelous mechanical method and the engineering behind it is absolutely brilliant!

Each stand is completely hand-crafted from natural aged teak wood and measures approximately 7” wide and 6.5” tall.

This is unquestionably one truly memorable and baffling effect!

______

Photos Courtesy of Magic Wagon Description of Effect

A beautiful wooden chest is displayed and then disassembled into three pieces, showing three different colored Egyptian pillars on the inside. The performer then hands the pillars to the spectator to examine, and asks him to freely choose one of them before placing them all back inside the chest. The performer now says some magic words and magically removes the golden Sphinx from the previously empty chest! The performer then disassembles the chest into three pieces again and surprisingly, as he does this, only the chosen pillar is found inside the chest! The other two pillars have completely vanished. They are truly GONE! The mysterious Sphinx has appeared only to have guarded the pillar chosen by the spectator. The killer ending is that the chest is immediately handed out for complete examination! This is one of the most unique and charming piece of apparatus featuring the combination of methods for an impressive production & vanish!

This is also the first time we have used the contrasting orange and deep dark brown color scheme for our Jewelry Box line. This exotic wood displays a beautiful and unique grain pattern of alternating light and dark stripes that makes it so prized among collectors. It’s then completely handcrafted with a high-gloss Jewelry Box finish. The golden Sphinx and the colored pillars have also been delicately and individually hand-crafted by our own artist. The photos really don’t do this gorgeous apparatus justice!

The chest measures approximately 14.5cms wide, 10.5cms high and 12cms deep. Special thanks to Mr. Tony Curtis for coming up with the name for this effect.

The Ultimate Card Penetration

Product ID: 161 Number Produced: 75 Year of Release: 2016

Retail Price: $ 225.00

______

Photos Courtesy of Magic Wagon Description of Effect

A playing card is selected, signed by the spectator and placed into a small wooden frame. While the card is still visible through the holes, a brass rod is pushed right through the middle of the frame, apparently going through the center of the card! The card is then immediately removed and shown to be completely unharmed. It’s a great mini-illusion!

• The card can be signed and the signature remains in full view as a penetration takes place! • The effect is entirely self-contained and mechanically ingenious! • The effect can be repeated with a different playing card!

The mechanism has been cleverly designed and there is just no way that the conventional method could possibly work the same way that this effect is achieved.

The frame measures approximately 11cms by 8.2cms and 1.2cms thick and has been completely hand-crafted from natural aged teak wood.

While the performer’s back is turned, a spectator is invited to remove any card from a well-shuffled deck, place it into a slot inside the box and close the lid. The performer now turns around, shows both hands completely empty and places the box into a drawstring bag in full view of the spectator. Despite the fairness of everything so far, the performer immediately announces the name of the chosen card without asking a single question!

• There is absolutely no force of any kind! • The effect can be immediately repeated with a different outcome! • The effect is completely self-contained and everything can be freely handled by the spectator!

Each box has been meticulously handcrafted from the glazed black lizard skin synthetic leather, raised on four square-shaped feet and the interior is lined in quality velvet fabric. The photo really doesn’t do this justice! The box measures approximately 11cms wide, 4.5cms high and 8.6cms deep.

Retail Price: £ 120.00

______

Photos Courtesy of Tony Curtis Description of Effect

The performer displays a bag, out of which he removes a beautiful lizard skin box (Please note this is Faux no real). The bag is placed to one side and the performer opens the box and removes three different colored dice. The box is closed as the performer states that he has made two predictions which will become apparent very soon. The three dice are now passed to a spectator, who is asked to place them out of sight and thoroughly mix them up. One of the hidden dice is now selected by the spectator and placed on top of the box. The spectator then places the remaining two dice on top of the bag. The performer now reveals that not only has he predicted the die placed on the box, but it also matches the prediction inside. The two different coloured dice alongside the bag, are also seen to have been predicted, when two dice are tipped from the bag, showing a colour match with the spectator's dice.

Please note that the effect can be repeated with a different presentation and prediction outcome.

The Hands-Off Coin Thru Glass Miracle! We are proud to offer one of the most effective and elegant versions of the “Coin Thru Glass” effect ever created!

An empty shot glass is placed on an elegant drawer box. Next, a larger glass is inverted over the shot glass isolating it completely. The performer now walks away, takes a coin, and causes it to magically travel from his hand to the shot glass, visibly penetrating the inverted glass with a loud “clink”! The hands-off penetration is visible, audible and truly sensational! The intricate mechanism is amazing and allows the performer to stand several feet away when the magic happens! It is truly a masterpiece of engineering.

This beautiful wooden drawer box measures approximately 17cms wide x 6.5cms high x 17cms deep and is completely hand- crafted of genuine teak. Other close-up items can be stored and freely removed from the drawer and used before or after performing the “Coin Thru Glass”.

The mechanism takes a US Quarter or any similar sized coin. Use your own country coin and close-up items like a deck of cards, dice or Sharpie, etc.

Ring Through Sword Mystery

Product ID: 165 Number Produced: 75 Year of Release: 2017

Retail Price: $ 269.95

______

Photos Courtesy of Magic Wagon Description of Effect

The performer displays a beautiful wooden tube along with a small brass sword & ring. He now picks up the tube to reveal two wooden posts which are attached to a thin base; each post has a hole near the top. The tube is then replaced and the sword is inserted through the holes via the sides of the tube. The ring is now dropped into the slot at the top and when the tube is finally removed, the ring is seen to have impaled itself ON the sword! It’s an impossible penetration!

The only way to remove the ring is to, in fact, remove the sword. If it’s your performing style, then everything can now be handed out for complete examination.

Ring thru Sword Mystery has been inspired by one of the rarest pieces from Magiro called ’s Tunnel. If you’re unfamiliar with the method, you’re going to be amazed by the ingeniously designed mechanism used with the non- magnetic ring.

The entire unit stands approximately 17.5cms tall, including a small brass handle and has been completely handcrafted from natural aged teak wood with a lightly distressed oil finish.

Our special thanks to Mr. David De Graef for suggesting the ideas & consultations on this amazing piece of magic.

Voodoo

Product ID: 166 Number Produced: 75 Year of Release: 2017

Retail Price: $ 250.00

______

Photos Courtesy of Magic Wagon Description of Effect

A beautiful wooden box is shown, along with five brass pegs. Inside the box, there is a brass engraved plaque depicting an outline of a Voodoo Doll. The doll has five holes in it. One in its left leg, right leg, left hand, right hand and its head. The performer now turns his back and a spectator plunges one or more pegs into any of the five holes in the doll, and then closes the lid and locks the box.

The performer now turns around, shows the box on all sides to prove that the box is absolutely opaque and solid and immediately announces the number of the pegs inside plus the location of each peg while the box is still locked! There is absolutely no force and the spectator has complete control over how many pegs he would like to use. It could be one, all five or none, and also which holes in the plaque he chooses to insert them.

• The effect is completely self-contained - No external gimmicks of any kind are used! • The effect is all done in full view - The box never leaves the view of the spectator, not even for an instant! • The effect can be immediately repeated with a different outcome!

The mechanical method is absolutely ingenious and it does not rely on magnets or involve springs to do the work. This uses one of the most unique and intricately built small mechanisms we have ever produced. It is truly a marvel of workmanship.

The box measures approximately 8cms wide, 6cms high and 10.5cms deep and has been completely handcrafted from natural aged teak wood with a lightly distressed oil finish. The brass pegs are each approximately 5cms long and 3mm in diameter and come complete with a custom designed display stand.

Voodoo Templates

For those of you who follow the Café’ you will know that Simon Corneille created a paper templates to use with the Voodoo effect. He was kind enough to permit me to include it in this catalog. Note: Because of the differences in formatting between Simon’s original and this catalog, printer specifications, paper types, etc., you may have to play around a bit with the sizing to make sure they fit.

Simon’s templates were subsequently adapted by John Talbot into a storyline involving a Chinese doctor. John’ transformed Simon’s template into one with a theme. John was kind enough to share both his presentation and his themed templates for use in this catalog. If you would like a more printer friendly version, please make that request from John directly.

Voodoo Presentation Hook – J M Talbot

“Li Shizen was one of the most famous Chinese Doctor’s from the 1500’s and a great believer and practitioner of Acupuncture. He authored one of the most comprehensive medical books in the history of China, including a great section on acupuncture. I have here a replica of an item Li would use when conversing with patients on acupuncture treatments.

Li dealt with patients from many regions of China with many dialects. He would use this as a tool for patients to indicate where they required treatment on their body and it was very helpful to overcome language barriers. Some of the most common things that acupuncture is used for even today is headaches (migraines), arthritis/joint pain, nausea after surgery or cancer treatments and sports injuries.

Let’s try something…. I am going to turn my back and I want you to indicate on this “patient” where you would like treatment. If it is for nausea just put pins all over the patient. Once done place the patient in the box and hide any remaining pins.

It is said that Li became so sensitive to the condition of his patients that he could identify where their pain was just by looking at them. Please concentrate on where you indicated you would like treatment… interesting I am sensing pain in the right arm and left leg… is that correct… Yes? Excellent… Hey I am no Li Shizen but not bad for a beginner!”

The Wedding

Product ID: A Tony Curtis Release Number Produced: 100 Year of Release: 2017

Retail Price: £ 245.00

______

Photos Courtesy of Tony Curtis Description of Effect

The performer introduces a small leather case and from it removes what he claims to be the world's first approved D.I.Y. wedding, marriage ceremony kit. This proves to be a slender teak wood frame tunnel or slide and a large metal washer or ring. The slide is shown to comprise of two magnetic sections through which the ring will pass freely through. Each section is marked with a diamond shape motif, one said to represent the "Man" and the other the "Woman".

To enact the wedding ceremony the two sections are re-assembled and a lady volunteer is asked to play the role of the bride. She places her forefinger through the hole and the "ring" is then dropped into the slide.

Obviously, it cannot pass completely through because of her finger but when she withdraws it the "ring" naturally falls out of the bottom end. Again she inserts her finger and the tip is held by the designated groom" so that it cannot be removed from the slide.

The ring is again dropped into the slide and the bride acknowledges that she can feel it resting on top of her finger. After explaining what has taken place the slide is divided to reveal that the ring is now on her finger and she is married.

Comes complete with a custom-made leather case, Written instruction booklet and full streaming video instructions.

The Wandering Mummy

Product ID: 167 Number Produced: 75 Year of Release: 2017

Retail Price: $ 289.95

______

Photos Courtesy of Magic Wagon Description of Effect

The Mummy effect has always held a special place in the hearts of many magicians and magic collectors. The effect, in keeping with the story, involves the “grave robbers” who broke into a 1,700-year-old tomb for the Pharaoh’s treasures and stole the mummy and its sarcophagus from inside the Egyptian casket. On getting back to their museum, they open the sarcophagus only to find the mummy has vanished! And, because of the curse of the mummy, when the Egyptian casket which was previously shown empty is opened, the mummy has mysteriously reappeared inside where it rightfully belongs!

It’s been over a year in the making since Mr. Andy Martin suggested the idea in January 2016. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first and the only version of the Mummy effect where both sarcophaguses can be nested together!

The entire outfit is extremely detailed with genuine Egyptian motif. Even the Mummy himself looks realistic and it is, in a word, a masterpiece of magic apparatus.

The larger casket measures approximately 9cms wide x 8cms high x 18cms deep and the smaller one measures 5.5cms wide x 4cms high x 10cms deep. Each set has been painstakingly and individually hand-crafted by our own exclusive artist.

The photos do not do justice to this absolutely gorgeous apparatus! This is, without question, one of the finest and most exquisitely detailed “Mummy” effects ever produced. It is absolutely stunning in appearance!
