Our Trust – some basic facts

Annual budget: £113 million per annum

Staff: Circa 2200 employees (1745 wte)

CQC rating (Good): ‘Our Quality Way’ underpins our continuous quality improvement programme and our aspiration to achieve an ‘Outstanding’ CQC rating

Staff survey: Feedback from the 2016 national staff survey was excellent for the fourth year running. Our 2017 results are due in February 2018

Performance: ‘Our Improvement Way’ - we have a strong track record of delivering quality improvements, service redesign programmes, and key performance indicators. Meeting majority of KPIs in our Luton Services.

Finance: We have a history of sound financial management achieving break-even or a small, planned surplus since 2010

Sustainability: We are proud to be a major provider of specific health/care services and public health services across the East of

Luton Adult Services – Review of the year

• Delivery and co-ordination of – At Home First (integrated health and social care services) • Launched ‘Think Pink’ Campaign • Rapid test site for Primary Care Home model - Poly pharmacy and Diabetes • Relocation of Adult Services to The Poynt • TB conference and TB mobile x-rays • Homeless and house bound flu vaccinations • GP liaison service celebrated 10 years • Active participation in System-wide days • Integrated Discharge Team continued high performance Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust: providing services across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Luton, Norfolk, Peterborough and Suffolk

Luton Children Services – Review of the year

• Launched virtual epilepsy team clinics for 14-18 year olds • Continued integration between our health visitors and children centres • Commenced introduction of new models of care for 0-19 services – use of Benson modelling tool • Provision of health resource into Children’s MASH • Rapid response services recognised nationally • Re-accredited UNICEF Baby Friendly Award

Other Luton based activities

• Staff health and wellbeing programme o Staff linked with Live Well Luton o Walking; exercise classes; weight management; cycling; mental health awareness • Growing our own nurses – professional qualification achieved whilst employed. Successful in reducing reliance on agency workers • Active involvement in development of Luton Provider Alliance and BLMK STP work streams
