Scammed By Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kit Complaints
Many customers have been complaining that the Kylie Lip kits have been coming incomplete with half empty tubes of her lips colors, without lip liners, or without anything in the box. According to USA Today,“The company has been dogged by complaints of missing products and packages for months, and many customers have gone to the BBB with their grievances. The BBB is reviewing the company, owned by Seed Beauty, saying it changed a previous "F" rating to no rating "NR" and will issue a rating when the current review is complete.”The box that the lip kits come in are highly recognizable so scammers can easily copy the packaging. "I believe the product was stolen due to the highly recognizable box (which apparently was redesigned to be more low-key) or the company made a mistake,"the customer said."If the product was in regular brown box, myself and many other people would not have to deal with this theft issue."

Research shows,“The Better Business Bureau reported 134 complaints have been logged against Kylie Cosmetics, 70 of which involve delivery issues and 55 of which involve issues with a product or service. Six out of seven customer reviews of the brand on the organization’s web site are negative. In an investigation of Kylie Cosmetics, the bureau was told by the brand that its packages are being vandalized or stolen because they are highly recognizable.” Kylie Cosmetics revealed it is taking steps to modify the packaging to combat the problem.The BBB gave the Kylie Lip kits an “F” Rating. That probably won’t stop millions of Kylie fans from buying her products. According to People Style, “More than half of the complaints cite delivery issues, while another 55 concern problems with the product itself.” Kylie Cosmetics claim to be taking steps to fix their packaging so less scam can go through. According to a post by Jenner on Kylie Cosmetics’ Instagram account Wednesday, “the grade switch came after fans of the brand “spoke out” about the poor rating.” “Better Business Bureau has looked into the facts and changed the rating,” explained Jenner. She added, “I’ve sold millions of lip kits and any complaint we have received to date has been addressed in a timely manner. I’m sick and tired
of people coming for my business. I love everything about Kylie Cosmetics and I will do anything in my power to protect and improve it every day.” Metal Lip Kits Arriving Half Empty?!
According to beauty blogger Jordan Cheyenne “ Spending 18 dollars on a product that arrives a third full is not really fair to the consumer.” She explains that “ she has purchased several Kylie cosmetics products, including glosses, matte lips and the metal lips in question.”Jordan says that she “truly did love everything.” Until of course she received her metal lip kits and they were only a third full! She notices that the tube looks filled all the way from the outside but when the cap is taken off you can see that you are not getting your money’s worth. On the other hand this had not happened with her other Kylie Cosmetics purchases such as glosses and matte lip kits. Recently cosmopolitan news published an article titled “ News Flash you can get Kylie matte lipstick for half the price!”Apparently Colourpop matte lipsticks have a very similar formula to
Kylie cosmetics’ formula. The only real difference is the price. Colourpop matte lipsticks are only six dollars but Kylie’s are 29 dollars, and that is only the matte lipstick itself. If you wanted to buy a lip kit including a matte lipstick and lip liner the total cost for Colourpop would be $16.82 and a Kylie cosmetics lip kit would be a whopping $40.13. Shortly after research conducted by Teen Vogue similarly stated that Kylie and Colourpop’s formulas are almost identical. They also presented some new information on the topic saying that Seed Beauty, the manufacturers of Colourpop cosmetics, also have Kylie cosmetics on their list of brands they make cosmetics for. As mentioned by Refinery29 both Kylie Cosmetics and Seed Beauty are located in Oxnard, California. The article also mentions that some of Kylie’s shades are a close match to some of Colourpop’s.
