Human Planet Activities 1. COLLECT- Core evidences collection - Design, implementation and maintenance of the core global spatial baseline data reporting about facts and figures of the human presence on the planet. 2. TEST - Derived indicators testing - Support a platform for testing alternative indicators derived by integration of core baseline data. The data can support the modelling of access (to services, market, industrial infrastructure, food, water, land), exposure (to natural disasters), or impact (to ecosystem, water, land degradation). 3. OUTREACH - Key messages delivering – Periodic publication of the Human Planet Atlas (HPA) where the core evidences and derived indicators produced by the initiative are presented.

The Human Planet initiative is structured in one steering committee and n (tbd) expert groups organized by thematic areas. Each thematic area will access to the facilities and will support the main actions of the initiative (to collect, test, and outreach) from a specific point of view.
