Miss Ebony is open to all women who understand that this is not a “beauty pageant” but a program that allowed women to showcase their broad range of qualities: personal interview, formal interview wear, talent, and the ability to speak with confidence, poise, and grace. Women in this pageant are intelligent, talented, and accomplished. A welcome to campus event, in which students socialize, share summer experiences, dance and play games. Students can come learn about origami and how they can use it to decorate spaces. Most individuals, including myself, did not know or realize that there were riots and protests before Stonewall. Food plays an important part in Identity, this is true, but it helps to understand how people label themselves, and see their own identities as being. If the phrase “You are what you eat” is correct, then might not the opposite, “You eat what you are” be true? There are 23 Hispanic (or Spanish speaking ) countries recoginzed duirng Hispanic Heritage Month. While we cannot focus on Hispanic Heritage Month all 23 countries during the luncheon, please join us in celebrating 9/16/2021 12-2pm LACA & Sodexo Luncheon Generations Restaurant signature dishes from: Mexico, Puerto Rico, Spain, and Guatemala.

These two days are going to be celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community and their allies through a fun picnic and festival. All ages are welcome to both events. The picnic will have food and some games, and the Celebrating YOUnity festival will be carnival style with a blow up attraction, a selfie booth, 9/17/2021 12pm - 2pm LGBTQ+ Picnic Dede Plaza Lawn airbrush tattoos, carnival games and prizes, and a karaoke contest. Two hours will be allotted for transgender identifying students to browse through the Closet Closet safely at the Career Center. Level 1 is a prerequisite. As a Puerto Rican, Jamaican-Chinese woman born and raised in the south in a of New Yorkers. Regardless of your background or upbringing, exploring identity is a key part of the college student experience. It can often be the most challenging aspect of navigating college life, with the rise of important questions like “Who am I?”, “What do I stand for?”, “What kind of life do I want to lead?”. When you feel empowered to explore your personal story and can celebrate who you are, you give others a safe space to do the same. In this program, Tianna invites students into her world as a person with multiple intersecting identities while encouraging students to reflect on their own personal narratives. 18.3% of the U.S. Population is estimated to be Latino or Hispanic of HHM - Mental Health in those over 16% reported having a mental illness in the past year that MSP & Student Hispanic/Latino Culture is over 10 million people. This event will cover personal experiences of 10/4/2021 5-6:30pm Counseling Center and How to Cope HMSU 321 mental health and how to cope with the cultural pressures.

The primary goals of international education are furthering knowledge and cultural capital, learning about places and cultures, and gaining intercultural skills in the process. Lavender Graduation is an annual ceremony conducted on numerous campuses to honor lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and ally students and to acknowledge their achievements and contributions to the university.
