Introduction – (Ezekiel 40-48) The world as we know it has just ended in chapter 19 with the return of Christ w/ His bride!

With it comes the end of the reign of rebellious men.

Not fulfilled yet; sit on David’s throne (Act 15:16-18)

Today we’ll come to understand 3 aspects of the Millennial Kingdom and of the Lake of Fire.

You know the expression, “There’s an App for that”? Today we’ll see, “there’s an app” for the Millennium and the Lake of Fire. We’ll see 3 characteristics of each topic. ***Its main Attribute, Its People, Its Purpose

Read 20:1-3 1. Spiritually evil places a. (Joke) And you thought I was bad that “the king sat on his throne for 40 years”, Satan is here “bound up for 1,000 years.” Ha b. 1,000 years Satan is where? 3 KJV words for spiritual places. i. Hell 1. Hb. Sheol, Gk. Hades, Gehenna & the once used Tartarus. 2. All mean the place of the dead except Gehenna meaning the L of F. ii. The Bottomless Pit 1. The Abussos or the Abyss 2. Demon that possessed a man besought Jesus not to go there before their time (Luke 8) 3. Used as an opposite of heaven (Rom 10) 4. Demon Locust came from it (Rev 9)

5. Spirit of Anti-Christ came from it (Rev 11 & 17) 6. Satan is bound 1,000 yrs there (Rev 20) 7. May just be another representation of this temporary place called hell. a. Isa 14:15 – Satan would be brought down to hell to the sides of the pit. iii. Lake of Fire 1. Some translated as English ‘hell’. 2. Has different attributes than hell. iv. So Satan is bound in the bottomless pit. 2. Millennium’s A.P.P. – The 1st characteristic is its main Attribute. a. 1,000 yrs w/ no Satan and Jesus’ rule in a rejuvenated earth! i. Satan is currently the god of this world. b. OT Verses i. All Verses

Read 20:4-6 1. Millennium’s A.P.P. – The 2nd characteristic is its People. a. Vs 4 i. ‘Those on thrones’ – the church ii. ‘Those that were beheaded’ – Trib saints iii. Church & Trib saints are reigning w/ Christ during Millennium. b. Vs 5-6 i. ‘But the rest, which are the dead’ – Not alive during Millennium. ii. Church & Trib saints are 1st resurrection. 1. 2nd resurrection is when the dead come back to be judged. 2. Don’t want to be part of 2nd. c. Unspoken group of people i. Mortals that live thru the end of Trib. 1. Matt 25 – sheep / goats – Gentiles 2. Rom 11:26 – All Israel shall be saved. (Zec 12:10 and chap 14)

Read 20:7-9 1. Millennium’s A.P.P. – The 3rd characteristic is its Purpose. a. Millennium is over and many mortals rebel! b. Why a Millennium with no Satan? Ask yourself, what are your enemies? i. Devil – bound for 1,000 yrs ii. World – rejuvenated environment ruled by righteousness straight from God. iii. Flesh – STILL HERE!! iv. The Millennium will prove that the problem has always been….me…my flesh!!

Read 20:10 1. Lake of Fire’s A.P.P. – The 1st characteristic is its main Attribute. a. It will forever hold those that have rebelled against an eternal God. (Luke 16:19-31) b. Life or the L of F forever i. Mark 9:42-48 ii. Matt 25:46 – “Eternal” is same for both. iii. Dan 12:2 – “Everlasting” is same for both. c. Matt 10:28 – Don’t fear people that can harm your body. Worry about your soul AND body being thrown into the L of F. d. Pharisee told they can’t escape the damnation of the L of F (Matt 23:33) and that their disciples are being made twofold the children of the L of F than they (Matt 23:15) e. Jam 3:5-6 – The tongue is a fire set of fire by the L of F.

Read 20:10-13 1. Lake of Fire’s A.P.P. – The 2nd characteristic is its People. a. Vs 10 – Devil is there (spiritual being) b. Vs 10 – A/C & F/P are there (humans) c. Vs 12 – The dead – All rebellion people i. They’ve rebelled against God’s mercy. 2. The books opened and also the Book of Life. a. Book of Life – For Believers b. The other books – Unbelievers judged work 3. Judged according to their works. a. You don’t want this! (Even though we think we want this for other people)

Read 20:14-15 1. Lake of Fire’s A.P.P. – The 3rd characteristic is its Purpose. a. L of F is for the finality of all things sinful (not perfected). b. Rebellious people, Rebellious angels, death, hell. c. The simplicity of all things marred and evil done away with together and forever.

Conclusion – Today we’ve seen 3 characteristics of the Millennium A.P.P. 1. The 1st characteristic is its main Attribute. a. 1,000 yrs w/ no Satan and Jesus’ rule in a rejuvenated earth! 2. The 2nd characteristic is its People. a. Church & Trib saints reigning over Jew & Gentile mortals. 3. The 3rd characteristic is its Purpose. a. The Millennium will prove that the problem has always been….me…my flesh!!

And we’ve seen 3 characteristics of the Lake of Fire A.P.P. 1. The 1st characteristic is its main Attribute. a. It will forever hold those that have rebelled against an eternal God. 2. The 2nd characteristic is its People. a. Human & spiritual rebels 3. The 3rd characteristic is its Purpose. a. All things marred have their forever fate apart from God.
