As with all Councils there’s an election every four years for the Parish Council - and that’s this year. Parish Councillors are just ordinary residents who care about Histon and Impington and want to try to make a difference. There are 19 seats to fill - and, whilst some of the current Councillors are going to stand for re-election, there are some who are not. Well we did it! Many people reading this will be unaware of the excellent Community Transport initiatives in our villages. We are able to help reduce isolation and give people within our community, especially the elderly and less mobile, the opportunity to engage with others. This is very important for a person’s independence and wellbeing. We are able to offer transport with our own Community Minibus, the Community Car Scheme and Dial a Ride.
