An overview of the revised Busway services: Why have you made these changes? • Demand has increased following the return of Schools and Colleges

• To increase frequency and capacity levels along the busiest corridors during the peak periods

• In response to passenger requests– earlier departures in the mornings and later departures in the evenings

• To introduce more buses to Trumpington Park & Ride (through an extension of Route B)

Where do Routes A, B and C operate? • Route A – St Ives to Trumpington via City Centre

• Route B – Hinchingbrooke, St Ives and Cambridge North to Trumpington via Cambridge City Centre

• Route C will run every 10 minutes at peak times, increasing the frequency to every 5 minutes between St Ives Park and Ride and Cambridge (Monday to Friday only) Detailed Changes to the Busway services:

Have you made any route changes, and why have you introduced route C?

Busway A: • All A journeys towards Cambridge will serve the Cambridge Regional College and Science Park stops due to the Southbound closure of Histon Road.

• When leaving Cambridge, route A will continue to serve Shire Hall and Orchard Park towards St Ives.

Busway B: • All journeys on route B will be extended to Trumpington Park & Ride.

• All journeys on route B will serve Cambridge North Rail Station.

• Route B will no longer use Mere Way to serve RAF Wyton. The service will instead continue on Houghton Road to Sawtry Way, allowing buses to serve the stops near Pine Hill Park once again before and after serving RAF Wyton Main Gate, returning back down Sawtry Way to Houghton Road and on to St Ives. (See route map on the next page)

Busway C: • By introducing route C, we will ensure that a bus will leave St Ives Park & Ride every 5 minutes towards Cambridge during the morning peak and every 5 minutes from the City Centre/Rail Station in the afternoon peak.

• Route C buses will begin their afternoon journeys at either Long Road Sixth Form College/Rail Station or the City Centre and terminate at St Ives Park & Ride.

• On weekday mornings this route will also allow us to free up more space on single deck A and B buses for passengers who wish to travel beyond Cambridge Rail Station, to Addenbrooke’s, the Cambridge Biomedical Campus or Trumpington Park & Ride. On weekday evenings this route will mean that passengers boarding at Long Road Sixth Form College/Rail Station and City Centre can be more certain of finding a seat.
