This document is complementary to the previously developed and published model application document ‘The application of models under the European Union's Air Quality Directive: A technical reference guide’ (EEA, 2011) in that it concentrates on the actual modelling methods and the scientific aspects of these, rather than on the interpretation and general use of models for AQ Directive applications.
