MARCH 27 Disability Awareness Day St. Aloysius Church Governmental Center APRIL 3 Celebrates 300 Years of Catholic Faith Easter Festival Research suggests that Leonardtown’s St. Aloysius parish was founded around the year Governmental Center 1710 as a mission or small chapel by the Jesuits to meet the needs of the growing Catholic APRIL 17 population in what was then known as “Seymour Town”. In 1910, the parish opened St. Aloysius Flag Day Celebration Gonzaga Cemetery, its second burial ground, on Fenwick Governmental Center Street in Leonardtown. In the early 1950’s, a broken ceiling beam required AUGUST 7 repairs and additional structural supports.
