We invite all students, their families and staff for the CJMS International Night! Camera #2 On Friday, March 6th, Cabin John will go International with a celebration of our cultures! Camera #2 Please help make this a night to remember by attending this event. Better yet, you can volunteer with a performance, or host a table, representing the best of your favorite country! Camera #3 Attention Cougars, this is a reminder that Cabin John Middle School’s 12th annual Black History Month Celebration is this Friday, February 21st. Camera #3 All members of our diverse CJMS community are welcome to come and enjoy this fantastic event. Camera #3 There will be a Student Living Museum where we will bring black history to life. We will have dinner, interactive games and free raffles. Camera #3 We hope to see everyone there! Camera #3

Thanks ______. Camera #1 February is Black History Month and to help celebrate we are adding Black History Facts to the show this month. Camera #1 Did you know, Buffalo Soldiers is the name given by Native- American plainsmen to the all- black regiments created in the U.S. Army beginning in 1866. Camera #1 These soldiers received second- class treatment and were often given the worst military assignments, but had the lowest desertion rate compared to their white counterparts. Camera #1 More than 20 Buffalo Soldiers received the Medal of Honor for their service. The oldest living Buffalo Soldier, Sergeant Mark Matthews, died at the age of 111 in 2005, and was buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
