The Hunsrück region is not traditionally considered a winter sports destination. Most people come here because Camping Schinderhannes has spacious terraces to stay and the restaurant can accomodate a fair sized group.

A varied programme and tasty dishes are calling all those who are bored at home. Film evenings, workshops, excursions and games make the time pass quickly. The highlight is the New Years Eve dinner, but generally the Bingo evening is the favourite.

You may extend your stay, arriving earlier or leaving later.

Königsberg, as a Eastern Metropolis of Prussia, has always had a special status and for centuries has been an open political and cultural centre. Whilst the city took care of the spiritual growth, the countryside was breadbasket and treasure chest. Enormous fields, manors and stud farms and majestic forests, crystal lakes and wetlands cover the countryside between the small hamlets. With the end of the war the area became part of Russia and all German remains were destroyed, new settlers arrived and villages were re-named. The Kaliningrad region was in a long sleep until the Perestroika. Today the neighbourhood with Poland and Lithuania is cultivated. Three days of sightseeing programme leave culturally and scenically wonderful impressions. Two days are at free disposal for se - arching in the past, other discoveries or simply for relaxing.Departing via the Curonian Spit, the unique beauty of this wonderful headland can be admired. The farewell evening will be in Nida, the artist town on the Lithuanian side. From here everybody can discover the Baltic States according to own interests.

With "Moscow - St. Petersburg" you get to know the new and the old capital of Russia. The world metropolis Moscow and the tsar city St. Petersburg are among the most lovely but also most expensive cities of the world.

Combining the two cities in one trip you will see distinct differences. Moscow is the heart of Russia, which despite the fast deve - lopment has kept its authentic flair and reminds of a long-bearded Russian peasant. St. Petersburg is the head presenting itself like an eloquent European.

After the pulsation of the 12 million city Moscow and the majestic St. Petersburg you will regard the three following Baltic capitals as provincial towns.
