Piping Up! ORGAN CONCERTS AT

iping Up! Organ Concerts at Temple Square is streamed online every Wednesday at 12:00 noon MDT. Piping Up! can be viewed on TheTabernacleChoir.org, the Choir’s YouTube channel, the Choir’s Facebook pageP, and Broadcasts.ChurchofJesusChrist.org. When concerts are concluded, they are available for on-demand viewing on both YouTube and Facebook.

These programs continue the tradition of noon organ recitals at Temple Square—a tradition that has lasted for more than a century. The concerts are produced without an audience and comply with all COVID-19 guidelines. Each concert is hosted by Luke Howard.

Watch “9/11 | Coming Together,” a Music & the Spoken Word Commemoration of 9/11/2001 It has been 20 years since the devastating tragedies of 9/11. Join The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square for a 30-minute special “9/11 | Coming Together,” narrated by award-winning journalist and commentator Jane Clayson Johnson. This special will stream on the Choir’s YouTube channel, the Choir’s Facebook page, and other outlets on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 8:46 a.m. MDT, the time when the first plane crashed into one of the Twin Towers. The special will air again on Sunday, September 12. Please see TabChoir.org for details.

Watch the Special Alexander Schreiner Episode On Demand The July 28 episode of Piping Up! featured organ music written and arranged by Alexander Schreiner and by by his former pupils and colleagues. The music was performed by and Clay Christiansen, who were both pupils of Schreiner, and they have carried his legacy forward with distinction. Watch this special episode on demand on the Choir’s YouTube channel, on the Choir’s Facebook page, and at TabChoir.org/ pipingup.

Request Repertoire for Piping Up! Organ Concerts If you would like to have your favorite organ piece played, like those on today’s program, just click “Submit Your Request,” and enter the title and composer of the organ piece. Requested pieces will be reviewed by the organists for future performances. When a requested piece is performed, the online program is marked to indicate that the piece was a “fan request.”

Music & the Spoken Word: New Episodes Are Coming! The long wait is nearly over! In addition to the special 9/11 broadcast, all new, live episodes ofMusic & the Spoken Word, presented by The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square, will begin on Sunday, September 19, at 9:30 a.m.

Until then, previously recorded episodes will continue to be rebroadcast each week with a new “Spoken Word” message delivered by Lloyd Newell. Tune in at the following times:
