About Limestone The Saints, in their first year in the conference, suffered a 31-20 loss to Carson-Newman last Saturday. The Eagles, clinging to a 21-20 lead entering the fourth quarter, scored the final 10 points to pull away. Limestone’s Jerko’ya Patton rushed for 135 yards and a score despite the loss. Limestone, however, was hurt by four turnovers. Patton is one of the top rushers in the league - averaging 100 yards per game to go along with six scores - while quarterback Ivan Corbin, Jr., has passed for 1,062 yards and 10 touchdowns. Corbin, Jr., was the 2017 First-Team Preseason All-SAC quarterback. D’Anta Fleming is the top wide receiver for the Saints with 410 yards on 36 catches and seven touchdowns. Evan Patrick (43 takedowns, two sacks and one fumble recovery) has been the team’s top defensive player so far while defensive back Joshua Simmons was a preseason All-American. Three of Limestone’s six games so far have gone to overtime this year (the Saints won all three contests). Lenoir-Rhyne Football
