(20 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2007
The North Lanarkshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Constable of Strathclyde Police in accordance with Part Ill of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following Order.
1. This Order may be cited as "The North Lanarkshire Council (Various Schools, Southern Area − Newarthill, Harthill, Belishill, Motherwell, Wishaw and Shotts) (20 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2007" and shall come into operation on Monday, the twelfth day of March, Two thousand and seven.
2. No person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding twenty miles per hour on the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Order.
3. This Order will only be in force when the speed limit signs are activated.
