Dear Parishioners, Night Prayer The Fountain of Youth has been a legend in a variety of cultures. Herodotus wrote Nine Nights of Night Prayer about it in the fifteenth century BC. He will fully share this victory with us when we are raised from the dead on the last day. It is this victory that the Blessed Virgin Mary already shares. She is that “ark of the cove- nant” that is seen in heaven. Her pathway to the full glory of her Son? Lowliness. The fountain of youth is not simply a return to vigor but sharing Christ’s indestructible life forever! Blessed Virgin Mary, full participant in the of Jesus Christ, pray for us! This evening is the last of the Nine Nights of Night Prayer. We will not only honor our Lady during Night Prayer. We will also share in some Stella Maris ice cream. I had the immense blessing of taking a course as a student at Fran‐ ciscan University of Steubenville. That’s rightI spent an entire semester studying the Blessed Virgin Mary. Through studying things like the four Mari‐ an dogmas, all of the different apparitions and more, I was drawn into deeper relationship with the Blessed Mother, which only fed my spiritual life all the more. That is what I hope today’s solemnity does for all of usdraws us into deep‐ er relationship with the Mother of God, who then draws us ever closer to her Son.
