Dear Parishioners,






The Gospel we hear this 13th Sunday in Ordinary Time contains an ex-
ample of one who comes to Jesus with a great faith.
This woman had

suffered greatly for many years.
She tried everything she could to be
cured.
And then, in this desperate state, the woman turned in faith to Je-
sus.

Perhaps she had had great faith throughout her life; we do not
know.
What we do know is that in her suffering, she was greatly hum- Journeying through a loss of a loved one is diffi- bled and was out of options.

USHERS NEEDED

Our ushers perform a very important ministry at our Masses.
They help parishioners to be
seated and assist with Holy Communion, the offertory and dismissal.
Our 5:00 pm and
10:00 am Masses are in need of additional ushers.
If you would like to assist in this
ministry, which is open to men and women, please contact Cheryle Koberna at the parish office.



COMMUNION FOR THE HOMEBOUND

If you or someone you know is not able to attend Mass on Sunday due to illness or
restrictions and would like Holy Communion brought to the home weekly, please call the
parish office.
Communion to the Homebound will be starting up again soon.
If you would like to minister in this capacity, bringing Communion to the homebound, please
call Cheryle or one of the priests at the office.



FESTIVAL OF PRAISE WITH CATHOLIC RENEWAL MINISTRIES

CRM would like to bring everyone together, outside with social distancing, to pray and
praise God.

Allow me to share a story about a person who experienced a healing through the
very touch of Jesus’ cloak as took place in today’s Gospel.
It was just 12 days after
learning that her husband had a rare cancer and was given only six to eighteen
months to live that her healing had occurred.
She found herself in the same state as
the woman in the Gospel.
While the Gospel’s woman was hemorrhaging for 12
years, not being able to find help and only having her issue worsen, this woman’s
hemorrhaging was that of fear and despair.
She didn’t know what to make of the news that was given to her and was making herself physically ill, with a headache
and upset stomach, not able to eat or sleep. She needed help but knew of no one who
experienced anything like this.
She found herself thinking of her timeline:

months of life with doctor appointments, treatments, side effects and the unknown!
Then the death and the funeral. Then the average 2 years of grieving.
Then a very
different life without her husband!
It was all very overwhelming and she was full of
anxiety.



One morning she was sitting quietly.
All of a sudden, she found herself walking
with Jesus on a dirt road.
He was wearing a long white robe and she was to his left a
few steps behind him.
He asked her to touch his robe, so she did.
She immediately felt peace inside her.
He asked her to let go, so she did.
She immediately felt tur-
moil inside.
Without Him asking, she took his robe again and experienced STAY CONNECTED:
calm.
She let go again and felt the chaos within. After that she grabbed onto his robe
and clung to it!

She realized that she just lived this passage.

peace she needed and cured her of her affliction; He rescued her.

ill. She no longer felt distressed or despair. Instead of concentrating on the dreaded Twitter: StPeterNR1
timeline, she focused on each day and the blessings that were a part of it.

CATHOLIC RENEWAL MINISTRIES
All are invited to attend Catholic Renewal Ministries’ 38th Annual Summer Conference to be held on Saturday, July 10th, at SS. Cosmas & Damian Parish, Twinhaven Reception Center, in Twinsburg. This year’s theme is “Give New Signs Work New Wonders”. The conference will run from 8:30 am to 5:00 PM including the Vigil Mass which will be celebrated at 4:00. Our featured speakers will be Ralph Martin and Peter Herbeck from Renewal Ministries, Fr. Michael Stalla, and Fr. Bob Franco. All speakers will be live. Matt Fafrak will lead us in contemporary praise music throughout the day.

Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion Diocesan Training is taking place monthly online.

HIGH SCHOOL SPY
There will be no SPY this Monday, June 28th, due to our Cedar Point trip with St. Clarence OR on Mon- day, July 5th, as the parish office is closed in observance of Independence Day.

All teens who will be attending the Steubenville Youth Conference this summer have an informational meeting on Tuesday, July 6, at 7 p.m. in the Galilee Room. This meeting is for both teens and parents and each family needs to be represented at this meeting.

Mark your calendars for Friday and Saturday, July 1617, when SPY will compete against St. Clarence in our own version of the Summer Olympics. This will be an overnight event that begins Friday evening and concludes sometime Saturday afternoon. More details will be available in the coming weeks!
