MULTIMEDIA PRODUCER, DIRECTOR AND WRITER • Immigrant Legal Resource Ctr., Writer / Social Media Producer January 2018 - present Write blog posts, manage Twitter account, and produce video for the New Americans Campaign on a part- time basis. Profile new Americans and cover topics including the financial and legal obstacles that prevent immigrants from pursuing citizenship, and effective strategies to encourage and assist naturalization.

• Family Pictures USA, Writer / Story Producer September 2018 - June 2019 Wrote and produced for a pilot PBS series shot in Florida, North Carolina, and Michigan. The documentary-style, hour-long programs told the stories of families, communities, and the country through the lens of the family photograph album.

• BillMoyers.com, Writer/Producer January 2016 - January 2018 Produced video commentary and podcasts with Bill Moyers on topics including the birther lie, the EPA, racial inequality, and money in politics. Produced Making Change, a video series featuring grassroots activists. Wrote a weekly column answered readers’ questions about democracy called Explain It! Curated Dig Deep featuring the best of the week’s investigative journalism.

• Carnegie Corporation of New York, Media Fellow September 2015 - June 2018 Wrote and produced multimedia stories about citizenship and immigration. Directed and produced American Beat: Cops and Refugees Join Forces in Boise, a documentary about police officers in Boise, Idaho building trust amongst refugees from Africa and the Middle East. Broadcast on PBS World in 2018. *Won 2018 NW Regional Emmy Award and was “Highly Commended” at the 2018 AIBs.

• Public Affairs , Writer / Producer Moyers & Company October 2011 - January 2015 Wrote and produced for a weekly long-form interview and public affairs program on public television. Covered the criminal justice system, money and politics, inequality, and public participation in democracy.

Bill Moyer’s Journal March 2007 – May 2010 Produced documentary reports and long-form interviews for a weekly program about public affairs on PBS. * LBJ’s Path to War nominated for Emmy Award for best feature in a magazine, 2009. * Henry Waxman nominated for Emmy Award for best interview, 2008.

• Fork Films, Story Consultant March 2011 Co-wrote the script for Peace Unveiled, about Afghan women fighting for a role in the peace process, for the five-part PBS series, Women, War & Peace. * The series won the Overseas Press Club’s Edward R. Murrow Award, 2011 and a Gracie Award, 2012.

• CNBC, Writer / Producer August 2010 – February 2011 Worked on a freelance basis with correspondent Darren Rovell to produce, report and co-write Behind the Counter: The Untold Story of Franchising, an expose of the $1.3 trillion franchise business.

• NOW on PBS, Contributing Producer September 2006 -January 2007 Reported, produced, and co-wrote How Green? The documentary profiled unlikely allies in a battle to protect wilderness in Idaho—the reddest state in America.

• CNBC, Writer / Producer March - October 2006 Wrote and produced segments for American Airlines: A Week in the Life, a behind-the-scenes look at the airline industry. Stories included Wrenching Change, on labor and management relations, and Extreme Makeover, on airline maintenance.

• CNN, Segment Producer 2005 -2006 Wrote introductions and produced live interviews on a freelance basis for American Morning, anchored by Soledad O’Brien and Miles O’Brien. * Contributed to 2005 Peabody Award-winning coverage of Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath.

• Public Affairs Television, Documentary Producer 1998 – 2003 Now with Bill Moyers: Kids and Chemicals Produced and directed a PBS documentary on the scientific search for chemicals in the environment that may be harming children.

Bill Moyers Reports: Earth on Edge Wrote, produced and directed segments about the impact of human activity on the ecosystems of the rainforest in British Columbia and the grasslands of Mongolia for a PBS special report.

On Our Own Terms: Moyers on Dying in America Field produced and reported for Living with Dying and A Different Kind of Care; the first two episodes of a four-part PBS series on the complicated issues underlying life and death choices. * Nominated for Emmy Award, 2001, Outstanding Informational or Cultural Programming.
