VITTORIO SANTORO, founder and chairman of the school, has been the school’s chief executive officer (ceo) right from the start. One of the founders of the school and honorary president, Master pastry chef Iginio Massari, has been the first relais desserts international in and a five-time world champion trainer in pastry and chocolate-making. caSt alimenti, i.e. “Centro Arte, Scienza e Tecnologia dell’Alimento” (Food, Art, Science and Technology Centre), is a training and specialization school founded in in 1996. The only centre in Italy providing specific courses in all the “mestieri del gusto” (culinary arts) in specially equipped classroom-laboratories. caSt alimenti is addressed to young students and established professionals alike and offers teachers and equipment which allow knowledge and know-how to be combined. We pay great attention to typical “Made in italy” products, on which our study programs and practical lessons are based.

CAST Alimenti is the Institute where Great Master Chefs educate learners on the Italian food heritage with rigor and passion, and a forward-thinking training center to rely on to turn dreams into tangible projects. The educational methodology applied to Advanced Training Programs (medium to long terms core courses) can be so summarized: pragmatism, limited number of attendees for a better teacher-student ratio, facilities with state of art equipment, multimedia learning tools, simulation of work situations, full involvement of the participants thanks to a catalog of concentration courses which allows to keep up to date all through the career.
