There are many lines of buses that travel in Versailles and out of Versailles to go to Paris . Rue de la paroisse

• “La Rue de la Paroisse” is a street with many shops next to our school. • In the middle of this street is the « Place du Marché » where twice a week (Tuesday and Friday) is organized a big food, fruits and vegetables market (indoor and outdoor). There is also a flower market.

Parly 2 shopping Mall Parly 2 is not in Versailles but next to Versailles in Le Chesnay. It was created in 1969. It’s the first shopping center in . There are 3 levels, 191 shops, cinémas, restaurants….and a huge car park. To go to Parly 2 you can take different buses from Versailles.

Brittany is a cultural region in the North-West . Previously a kingdom and then a duchy , brittany was United to the kingdom of France in as a province Brittany is bordered by the English Channel to the North, the Celtic Sea and the Atlantic Sea to the West. The historied province of Brittany is divided into five departements : Finistere in the West, Cote d’armor in the North, Ile et vilaine in the North East, loire Atlantique in the South- East and Morbihan in the South as the bay of biscay. Brittany lies within the North temperate zone, Rainfall occurs irregulary.

The Mont Saint Michel History

Saint Michael's Mount is an island in Normandy, France. It is located approximately one mile of the northwestern coast near Avranches. 247 acres in size, the island has a population of 44. The island has held strategic fortifications since ancient times and the eighth century has been the seat of the monastery from which it draws its name. The structural composition of the town exemplifies the feudal society that built it. One of France's most famous landmarks, Saint Michael's Mount and its bay are part of the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites and more than 3 million people visit it each year.

Argentiere is a French Village situated in the region of Haute-Savoie resting at an altitude of 1250 metres. During winter, Argentière is Skiing resort, in particular around Grands Montets. During summer, the region welcomes hikers especially in the areas situated around the Mont Blanc. The region of Argentière is connected to the region of and to by the .

St Gervais

Saint Gervais les Bains is a French town situated in the region of Haute Savoie, its inhabitants are called les Saint Gervolains. Resting at an altitude of 450 - 4810 metres, Saint Gervais les Bains is the highest village of Europe. This is partly due to the presence of the Mont Blanc in its territory.

Courmayeur

The Franco Italian border in the Alps has been a cause of concern for many years now, and is still subject to disagreements today. The territorial maps issued by IGN show the boarder lines passing through the summit of the Mont Blanc, making it half French and Half Italian. The Treaty of Paris in 1947 settled the boarder disputes and concluded with the fact that the summit of the Mont Blanc should be shared between the French and Italian. PARIS

The construction of the bridge started in 1961, it has been opened in May 1967. the Aquitaine bridge is the second biggest bridge in France. • It was a a good experience, but it would be better to make a trip or to see our pepals via webcam. Adrien • I liked the project because it is funny to meet other people who live in different countries. I liked to learn about their culture and monuments. What I disliked it that I didn’t see them. Angelina • I think it’s a good project, it was hard for me but interesting. I liked to work with other people from other countries. Camille • I loved having contact with Austrian people, it allowed me to know their country. I enjoyed sharing with them our most beautiful cities and cultures. I would like to continue to talk with them. Elisabeth

• I like to share about the culture of my country and to learn about other countries. Marine • I think it’s a good idea to understand other countries but if we could meet it would be cool. I liked the project with foreigners, I learnt a lot about Austria and Croatia. • The students were very interesting because they had the opportunity to discover two beautiful countries. • They were happy to make Austrian and Croatian students discover France and its beautiful regions. • It was hard for the French students to comment on the Twinspace. • It was also difficult for the French students to work at home and to work on the Twinspace at home. In claas, everything went well.
