2 Procurement Excellence 2019, Conflict Minerals The illegal trade of the commonly as “3TG*” referred minerals finances violent conflicts and violations of basic humanitarian rights.

Algier Kairo Dodd–Frank Section 1502 defines the affected countries or “Covered Countries” as follows:

Nouakchott • Democratic (DRC) Khartum • Central Republic N´Djamena Dschibuti • South Porto–Novo • Douala Sáo Tomé • The Republic of the Congo Bujumbura • Moroni • Antananarivo The covered countries account for 15% to 20% of the world´s supply of tantalum and lower percentage for the other three minerals

3 Procurement Excellence 2019, Conflict Minerals Conflict Mineral is not about an embargo of these countries.

5 Procurement Excellence 2019, Conflict Minerals Creating an OSRAM CMRT requires alignment along the supply chain

OSRAM has selected all categories in our procurement portfolio that could possibly contain one of the 3TGs. Suppliers in this categories, are asked to hand in a Conflict Mineral Reporting Template (CMRT). OSRAM uses the global standard template of the Responsible Mineral Initiative (RMI).

These CMRTs are checked in a special software (iPoint) if they only contain conformant or active smelters. In case other smelters are listed, OSRAM requests supplier to work on improving the supply chain.

6 Procurement Excellence 2019, Conflict Minerals Creating an OSRAM CMRT requires alignment along the supply chain

The summary of all supplier CMRTs is then used to create the OSRAM CMRT. This CMRT is forwarded to Customers to enable them to comply with applicable law (e.g. SEC).
