Sheehan comes to NASA from The Executive Television Workshop, Inc., where he was director of the Detroit office. Prior to this position he was executive director, Corporate Public Affairs, Ford Motor Co. and vice president Public Affairs, Ford Aerospace and Corrrnunications Corp., Detroit. In 1974, Sheehan was appointed president of ABC News, a position he held until 1977. He had held various positions at ABC since 1961 including five years as a national and foreign correspondent. In 1966, he returned to New York to become vice president, Television News,_"';iseni.o.r _ vice president and then president, ABC News. The report recommends realistic strategies developed to position Titusville to compete for investment and increase its tax base, while maintaining and strengthening its community character. This approach includes an assessment of the area’s economic development potential and an overview of the constraints and opportunities influencing the five drivers of economic development, land, labor, capital, markets and regulation, as well as the City’s ability to influence each driver. Titusville is currently experiencing significant economic development gains, including investments by internationally known companies including OneWeb Satellites, Lockheed Martin, Embraer, SpaceX and Blue Origin. Titusville also has a diverse, expanding business community that includes Titusville Logistics Center, Renzetti’s, Hell’s Bay Boat Works, Titus Landing, Boeing, and Falcon Marine, as well as advanced manufacturers, healthcare providers and unique service-sector firms.

SPACEPORT EMPLOYEES TO BE HONORED WITH RECEPTION, LAUNCH SEATS KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla.- A Kennedy Space Center contingent of 64 civil service and contractor emp!oyees is among 204 employees from throughout NASA being honored for their contributions to the Space Shuttle program and to the launch of the first mission. The Spaceport employees have been invited to attend a special reception in their honor on the day prior to launch. Honoring them at the reception will be Dr. Alan Lovelace, NASA Acting Administrator, and members of the Astronaut Corps. On launch day, they will be bused to a special viewing area set aside in their honor to watch STS-I lift off from Pad A at KSC's Launch Complex 39. The first Space Shuttle mission is to last 54 hours, 30 minutes, in a demanding flight test of the revolutionary new space transportation system which is to be the mainstay of the nation's presence in space into the 1990s.
