Performing Artists

Tim Walters, , is director of Jazz Studies in the department of music and an associate professor. His areas of specialization include theory, jazz studies and trumpet/brass ensembles. He is active as a professional arrangerjcomposer, performer and clinician. His arrangements and compositions are published by the UNC Jazz Press. Walters directs the Jazz Rats Big Band at FAU and teaches Commercial Music History and Jazz Theory and Arranging.
