Animexperience workshop with the University of Teesside Blue Reef Aquarium – Tynemouth Class 3 and 4 have been learning about the ocean in our English and Geography lessons, so we visited the Blue Reef Aquarium. During our visit we saw so many amazing sea animals, and we learnt a lot about their habitats. Some of our favourite sea animals were the turtles, sngrays and sharks! We loved the oers called, Indra and Gizmo, and we fed them nuts. The pupils really enjoyed the seal show, especially when Calypso the seal soaked us all! The seals are beauful animals and they showed us lots of tricks. We had a fantasc day, and it brought to life all our work on the ocean.

Stockton Children’s Book of the Year Children from Year 5 also went on a skiing trip in February at the Abernethy Centre, Scotland. Sport is important at St Patricks and we like the children to gain as many different experiences as possible. Our brave teachers and pupils ventured off to Scotland during the February half term to learn to ski. Aer a long train journey we arrived in Scotland to be greeted by the welcome sight of snow flurries. Fortunately for us the slopes were white and ready for us to ski on. It didn’t take us long to master the slopes and for us all to be hurtling down.
