Directions to Wartburg

By Train From Manhattan’s Grand Central Station: Take the Metro North, New Haven Line to Pelham. Take a cab to Wartburg (about a 5 minute drive).

By Subway From Lexington Avenue Subway #2: Take the #2 train to end of line, 241st Street, Bronx. Take #42 bus and ask for a transfer to #7 bus to Wartburg Place. Walk down the hill.

From Airports From LaGuardia and JFK: Follow the signs to the Whitestone or Throgs Neck Bridge and proceed North. Follow the directions below from Queens.

From Newark: Follow the signs to the Garden State Parkway or NJ Turnpike. Take either road North to the George Washington Bridge. Follow the directions below from New Jersey.

By Car From Long Island, Brooklyn, and Queens: Take the Tri-borough, Whitestone, or Throgs Neck Bridge to the Bruckner Expwy to exit 9, Hutchinson River Pkwy North. Proceed to exit 12, E. Lincoln Ave – Mt. Vernon, Pelham. Turn left onto E. Lincoln Ave. At the 2nd light, make a right onto Wartburg Place. Proceed to the gatehouse.

From The Bronx or Manhattan: Go North on the Major Deegan, Bronx River Pkwy, Henry Hudson Pkwy, or West Side Highway to the Cross County Pkwy East. Got to Exit 9, Hutchinson River Parkway South. Go 500 feet to Exit 12, E. Lincoln Ave – Mt. Vernon, Pelham.

From Hutchinson River Parkway South Exit 12: Bear right as you come off the exit and turn left at the traffic light onto E. Lincoln Ave. At the 1st light, make a right onto Wartburg Place. Proceed to the gatehouse.

From New Jersey Take the George Washington Bridge to the Henry Hudson Pkwy or Major Deegan. Follow the directions above from the Bronx or Manhattan. Or, if you’re coming from the North, take the Tappan Zee Bridge (I-87) to Exit 8, Cross Westchester (287) to exit 9S, Hutchinson River Pkwy South. Go to Exit 12, E. Lincoln Ave – Mt. Vernon, Pelham. Follow directions above.

From Connecticut or Eastern Westchester Go South on the Merritt Parkway to the Hutchinson River Parkway. Go to Exit 12, E. Lincoln Ave – Mt. Vernon, Pelham. Follow directions above.

Bus or Truck Route Take 95 North to Exit 15 – Pelham, New Rochelle. Bear right. Take Main Street (a.k.a. Boston Post Road or Route 1) to Webster Ave. Go left on Webster and proceed to E. Lincoln Ave. Go left on E. Lincoln Ave. and make a right onto Wartburg Place. Proceed to the gatehouse.
